I know medical centers—especially VA facilities—can receive mixed reviews, but I want to take a moment to highlight the amazing work and dedication of the staff at the G.V. (Sonny) Montgomery VA Medical Center in Jackson, MS. I have friends who work here, and I’ve seen firsthand how much they genuinely care about the veterans they serve. Many of the doctors, nurses, and support staff go above and beyond every day, often under challenging circumstances, to make sure veterans are treated with respect, compassion, and dignity. The staff works hard to listen, advocate, and provide the best care possible, and that commitment does not go unnoticed. Our veterans deserve kindness and dedication, and there are many people at this facility who truly deliver that. I love this clinic very much. Firstly, the clerk, a brunette lady with glasses whose name I unfortunately don't know, is so, so, so sweet and is always very patient. She never makes me feel rushed or like I'm in the way, and best of all, she always compliments my perfume!! it makes me so happy :) secondly, I see the therapist Jon. I love him so much!! He is the first therapist I've ever truly trusted. I will go in feeling like I am about to go into a crisis and leave feeling completely normal. I know this facility has mixed reviews, but I wanted to share our experience so far. My father was recently transferred here after a very serious hospitalization involving dehydration, malnutrition, lithium toxicity, sepsis, and aspiration pneumonia. During our first visit we were able to meet with his doctor, Dr. Coughlin, and the staff working with him. Everyone we encountered was kind, professional, and took time to speak with us about his care and recovery plan. The facilities and grounds are well kept, and the environment felt calm and organized. From what we have seen so far, the staff truly seem to care about the patients. We are already seeing signs of progress with my dad, including him standing with assistance and beginning to eat again. It may be too early to give a final rating, but based on our first visit and the care we have seen so far, we are very grateful for the doctors and staff who are working with him and helping him get back on his feet.

My son is 15 years old and he has been at this hospital for a month now. The staff have been awesome to my son. I really appreciate them for helping my son with his issues. This is by far the best facility he has Ever been too. BIG THANKS to the Social Worker EMONI. You are truly an inspiration to these kids. I wish the world had more people like you that actually care. I have been in this program for a month. While I have a lot of work to do, they have been so easy to work with. Each session has brought me closer to a place of understanding and peace. If you are struggling, I highly encourage you to see if this program is a good fit for you. DISCLAIMER: No program will be beneficial if you are not willing to put in the work that is required. In my opinion Shephearst Meadows gives you the tools and support to do that work to get the best possible results.

I thank God I started going to Region 8. They have helped me so very much. I did have a few therapist that were not the right fit for me, so I requested a change and now I have been seeing the same one for over a year and have finally started seeing improvement. Everyone there has been great. The front desk staff are not the best but you find people who are not that nice at any place. The people who are there to help in the back have always been wonderful to me.

I have been very pleased with my son's doctor and therapist at Region 8. His doctor doesn't just write a prescription. She thoroughly questions my son and me to ensure he is getting the proper medicine, dose, and the proper care. His therapist is absolutely wonderful. She has consistently, every two weeks, visited my son at school, at home, and even now during the summer, for several years now. My son's Region 8 doctor and therapist work as a team with me and his teachers to make sure that my son gets the best care possible.

I am going to give this place 4 stars. I LOVE LOVE MY DR. DR RICHARDS. She cared about my mental health and treated me as a person from the second I walked in that room. She is trying so hard to find the right med for me. Being very patient and kind. Getting to know me taking her time which I love and truly appreciate. Now the counselors/therapist on the other.. the first one I got she answered the phone the whole time poor girl was so lost she was an intern. I told her i was not upset. It wasn’t her fault. The second therapist I got was ok. He just listened to me. Just let me let it all out. Didn’t give me any feedback except telling me that I am very self aware and I know what to do. However it was my first session so with that being said I think the advice he gave me was what I needed to hear. We have had one hiccup where my prescription wasn’t sent it should have been but that was quickly resolved. I see a lot of bad reviews but they have been so good to me. From the front desk to the schedulers to the counselors to the drs. They saw how bad I needed help and they helped me. They made me feel seen and heard for the first time in so long. The meds they prescribed helped me tremendously. I recommend this place.

The Best place to go if you are truly ready to be where your purpose is in life and being that way without drugs in your life or whatever you may need help with that is preventing you to be who you are suppose to be . DW helped transformed me into where I am today..I personally had a spiritual awakening on Dec 17th , 2025. I on my own free will admitted myself with the help of my support team to DW on Jan. 10th, 2026. Long story short after reading reviews on several other places to go for help DW is the one I always came back to. The staff ,the counselors, the nursers, and the cooks are truly blessings too,! I have been clean since Jan 10th. 2026 .. and plan to stay this way

Many things have changed since 4 years ago. But I will say that Shelley, the RN finally got my meds at 5 days and my suboxone got lost somehow, and I was definitely taken back at how operations have changed, but the texts were pretty good. My son has been in Millcreek a very long time and we are glad that we got him the care he needs, I just wish we had a place like this in Montana. So many children need this 24-7 care and it's sad that most states don't have a facility like this closer to home. I do appreciate the staff so very much and my son is doing great. I am very pleased with how much he has grown over the years by being in Millcreek.

My son has been in the residential part for kids with special needs for a year and a half now . He is a completely different kid now . He can do things I thought would take decades for him to finally do . He is taken care of and loved by the staff as if he were their own child . It’s the one on one staff and caretakers that make this facility so successful In what they are doing for our most vulnerable children . This facility is full of employees that have been working there forever , so they know the kids and they know their job . Everyone you encounter gives 110% plus some, to their job and their commitment to these children . They make it so that I as a parent able to sleep at night knowing our kid is loved , safe , and thriving . Millcreek in my experience is the gold standard of care for special needs children and should be modeled as such by other facilities like them in the country.

I highly recommend this facility. The methodology used is effective and people were extremely kind. My son went in 2016, I thought I had reviewed them, not sure what it’s like now, but we got our son back who had been lost in drug use for 10 years.
