The shrink wasn't the best, but the nurses and support staff were amazing. I spent a little over 2 weeks there, and it really helped. Not my preferred psych facility, but they really helped. So, if yr having trouble dealing with mental health, and in need of help, this place won't do you wrong. And the food was very good. Once they realized I was a vegetarian, I got great food. This place helps you put things into perspective. After my stay, I know I won't need to go anywhere else. They made me understand that I'm ok. And that's a feeling I haven't had in a while. J. A majority of the staff were very supportive and helpful. There is one woman there “beau” I think is how you spell her name. Always giving me dirty looks, I would wave at her and no response. My first time there in December 2023 was ok, the staff was kind except for one tech from the adult unit... When I went back last December, I ended up staying for Christmas, and the staff did their best to make us happy with gifts, games, etc. I stayed for almost a month and started becoming myself again with help from my favourite tech and my favorite nurses. This was the first place that actually treated me like a human being while being in a psych facility. Most of the staff were still there from the first time and they had a better understanding with what was going on. I was so happy they remembered what had helped me last time. After a not so great experience with another hospital/ birthing center/ obgyn in connecticut with my last pregnancy i was on the search for a new obgyn and place to deliver my next baby once I found out I was expecting. After getting referred to day kimball by my co-workers and boss saying nothing but good things about the birthing center and drs working at the obgyn I decided to give them a chance and it the best choice I made! From day one last fall they were wonderful. Living over an hour awayand working a not so consistant schedule being a construction worker in a trade they were super accommodating with my appointment scheduling throughout my entire pregnancy. Also having a previous high risk delivery they made sure to keep tabs on me and my baby very thoroughly throughout the entire pregnancy. When I came in to deliver they were prepared for any scenario knowing it could possibly go bad quickly. It did take a dangerous turn right after delivery and they were on top of it immediately making sure I had the care, support, and supplies needed. I have never been more thankful than I was for the entire staff that was on shift the night of my delivery. They kept calm and did their jobs to keep me and my family safe and as relaxed as possible. From the ob drs and staff, high rish drs and staff,birthing center nurses and staff, anesthesiologists , to the evs staff and kitchen staff id say Day Kimball was the perfect choice for me and my family this time! Hopefully the nurses there can see this at some point. In the ER Danielle was incredible talked me thru all my concerns and answered all my questions and David was so friendly and was so kind with my mother. If there was a 6 star they would get it. On the ICU unit Gina was a God sent nurse.
