So at first I was very nervous about having my adolescent child here after reading reviews! So much so I drove up in middle of the night when he first arrived. Because I needed to lay eyes on him, and get a feel for the facility. It’s a very clean comfortable environment. The entire staff was so attentive to him his entire stay!! I was able to call anytime and speak to him he was able to call home as often as he needed!! The doctors nurses and mental health workers were AMAZING!!!! I was impressed with how well trained they are with working with people that are having a hard time! They were very patient with my son, and kept me very informed with exactly every thing going on with him! The Pscyh doctors know there stuff!! You are great hands here, trust the process! even my son felt he received the best care! We thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

I was a little nervous about going to a psych hospital that was an hour and a half from where I lived, but I have nothing to say but good things about this facility. The shrink wasn't the best, but the nurses and support staff were amazing. I spent a little over 2 weeks there, and it really helped. Not my preferred psych facility, but they really helped. So, if yr having trouble dealing with mental health, and in need of help, this place won't do you wrong. And the food was very good. Once they realized I was a vegetarian, I got great food. This place helps you put things into perspective. After my stay, I know I won't need to go anywhere else. They made me understand that I'm ok. And that's a feeling I haven't had in a while.

IOL has been there for me when I was at rock bottom. My first time there in December 2023 was ok, the staff was kind except for one tech from the adult unit... When I went back last December, I ended up staying for Christmas, and the staff did their best to make us happy with gifts, games, etc. I stayed for almost a month and started becoming myself again with help from my favourite tech and my favorite nurses. This was the first place that actually treated me like a human being while being in a psych facility. Most of the staff were still there from the first time and they had a better understanding with what was going on. I was so happy they remembered what had helped me last time.

The staff that genuinely wants to help and make you feel better.....but....If you have no insurance it costs $400 a month. State insurance gets it free $0 and private insurance will run you $240 a month in co pays. It's an astronomically high amount to pay. It's twice the price of Suboxone.. they make you pay, I'm guessing because MTD is a strong form of pain killer and they know it's addictive. I can't believe they charge so much for this treatment... somebody should look into why it's so expensive

Front Office/Desk workers, LCSWs, observers, fellow patients, Quest/First Choice workers, & intake specialist, were all friendly and accommodating despite the problems with getting my orders put intoQuest's system for my labs. Facility is clean & warm, although the bathroom in the waiting area on the 1st floor was frequently out of order and blocked off from patient use. Smaller class sizes would be helpful but that's a budget/hiring issue that is out of the hands of patients & clinicians.

I want to take a moment to update my previous review with honesty and fairness. In the past, I left a negative review due to a situation that I later realized was outside of Dr. Spencer’s control. He personally took the time to apologize and address the situation, which already spoke volumes about his professionalism and character. More recently, I have been dealing with ongoing health issues, and I can confidently say that the level of care I’ve received has been truly above and beyond. Dr. Spencer has been attentive, compassionate, patient, and genuinely invested in my well-being. He listens carefully, explains things thoroughly, follows up, and makes sure his patients feel supported—something that is unfortunately rare these days. I also want to recognize the staff at Generation Family Care for their kindness, professionalism, and respectful treatment at every visit. I am very grateful for the care I’ve received and highly recommend Dr. Spencer without hesitation. He is a physician who truly cares about his patients and makes a real difference.

I transitioned over to Rivereast from The Ridge. This was my first time in rehab and a group program. I know there have been a lot of bad reviews but I have to say my experience was excellent. You have to want to be there, want to help yourself, and want to be able to advocate for yourself. I learned a lot of copping skills and met a great group of people. My group was amazing and I will always remember each one of them and how they helped me. Yes, you are going to encounter people that annoy you, upset you, and get on your nerves at times. That’s in any setting tho, whether work, school, etc. I can’t say enough good things about the staff. Jayson, “G”, Dorothy, Blenda, Jackie, Dr. Green, Stacey, and Anna always treated me with respect and compassion. You give it and you get it in return. Jayson, “G”, and Dorothy……you have helped me more than you know and your words will forever be embedded in my thoughts. I’m honored to have met you. I will miss you!!! Stay vertical!!!

Best decision I’ve ever made was coming to RiverEast. I can’t say enough about the staff and how wonderful they all are. Jackie at the front desk made me feel so comfortable when I first arrived, and continued to do so everyday. Dr. Green is so knowledgeable and friendly. All of the clinicians are amazing. Jayson is so kind and allows the group to speak their mind and really help one another. I learned so much from him. G had the strongest impact on me and my life. I can’t thank her enough for everything she did for me, and my continuing sobriety. You can feel how deeply she cares, and you can’t help but smile when you see her. I feel so fortunate to have met her. I am going to miss her more than she knows. She helped me become, and want to continue being, a better person when I was truly at my lowest. She will always be very special to me, and such an important part of my story in early recovery. Truly thank you to everyone at RiverEast.

I've been a client of this facility for 6 years. They are my family. Clients AND staff. I cannot count how many times Jackie the office manager or Karen the program director have gone above and beyond to ensure my needs were met. Karen heads the place but she is the most down-to-earth woman. And her caring is not an act. Alison, a clinician, is another superstar. I've always felt I could tell her anything with no judgement. I see these folks as friends. They have had their ups and downs as any place does, but i go well out of my way to stay with this location rather than somewhere closer to home. The one person who has made the most impact on my life is Gracie, though. As a clinician, her methods and wonderful personality were the catalyst to a whole new beginning in my life. Thank you so much.

Since opening my small business, Reflections Counseling and the owner, Kari Ann, have been huge community supporters. They have been wonderful to collaborate with - very respectful and easy to communicate with. And always so professional. I love working with them!

It is so heartwarming to see a local business practice what they preach. Over the last year, I've seen Reflections pop up at various Wethersfield events - either as sponsors or participants. Their scarecrow display on Main Street in OW was one of my favorites (loved the little Starbucks detail!) and the work they do to acknowledge and thank our local elementary schools goes above and beyond. Well done to the owner and team for supporting their clients' communities.
