This review is for HVCC DIAL A RIDE ONLY (therapy there is outright unethical). The entire staff at HVCC Dial A Ride are wonderful! They are very accommodating to your need for rides and VERY prompt picking clients up! I no longer need them, but would definitely use them again if needed.

I transitioned over to Rivereast from The Ridge. This was my first time in rehab and a group program. I know there have been a lot of bad reviews but I have to say my experience was excellent. You have to want to be there, want to help yourself, and want to be able to advocate for yourself. I learned a lot of copping skills and met a great group of people. My group was amazing and I will always remember each one of them and how they helped me. Yes, you are going to encounter people that annoy you, upset you, and get on your nerves at times. That’s in any setting tho, whether work, school, etc. I can’t say enough good things about the staff. Jayson, “G”, Dorothy, Blenda, Jackie, Dr. Green, Stacey, and Anna always treated me with respect and compassion. You give it and you get it in return. Best decision I’ve ever made was coming to RiverEast. I can’t say enough about the staff and how wonderful they all are. Jackie at the front desk made me feel so comfortable when I first arrived, and continued to do so everyday. Dr. Green is so knowledgeable and friendly. All of the clinicians are amazing. Jayson is so kind and allows the group to speak their mind and really help one another. I learned so much from him. G had the strongest impact on me and my life. I can’t thank her enough for everything she did for me, and my continuing sobriety. You can feel how deeply she cares, and you can’t help but smile when you see her. I feel so fortunate to have met her. I am going to miss her more than she knows. She helped me become, and want to continue being, a better person when I was truly at my lowest. I've been a client of this facility for 6 years. They are my family. Clients AND staff. I cannot count how many times Jackie the office manager or Karen the program director have gone above and beyond to ensure my needs were met. Karen heads the place but she is the most down-to-earth woman. And her caring is not an act. Alison, a clinician, is another superstar. I've always felt I could tell her anything with no judgement. I see these folks as friends. They have had their ups and downs as any place does, but i go well out of my way to stay with this location rather than somewhere closer to home. The one person who has made the most impact on my life is Gracie, though. As a clinician, her methods and wonderful personality were the catalyst to a whole new beginning in my life. I was a little nervous about going to a psych hospital that was an hour and a half from where I lived, but I have nothing to say but good things about this facility. The shrink wasn't the best, but the nurses and support staff were amazing. I spent a little over 2 weeks there, and it really helped. Not my preferred psych facility, but they really helped. So, if yr having trouble dealing with mental health, and in need of help, this place won't do you wrong. And the food was very good. Once they realized I was a vegetarian, I got great food. This place helps you put things into perspective. After my stay, I know I won't need to go anywhere else. They made me understand that I'm ok. And that's a feeling I haven't had in a while.

The IOP was very helpful for me. A majority of the staff were very supportive and helpful. There is one woman there “beau” I think is how you spell her name. Always giving me dirty looks, I would wave at her and no response. It made me very uncomfortable in a therapeutic setting.

IOL has been there for me when I was at rock bottom. My first time there in December 2023 was ok, the staff was kind except for one tech from the adult unit... When I went back last December, I ended up staying for Christmas, and the staff did their best to make us happy with gifts, games, etc. I stayed for almost a month and started becoming myself again with help from my favourite tech and my favorite nurses. This was the first place that actually treated me like a human being while being in a psych facility. Most of the staff were still there from the first time and they had a better understanding with what was going on. I was so happy they remembered what had helped me last time.

Evidence based treatment approaches, cognitive and dialectical behavior therapy, individualized treatment plans, a safe and supportive environment, a thorough intake process and the ability to address co-occurring conditions, different levels of care and substance abusive. Carlson was the right place at the right time for me to bring a friend of mine who had finally decided to detox and go into an aftercare program, from addiction. The place was well organized, seemed to be run well and plenty of patient supervision, from the point that my friend made it through the complete admission process, she was able to reach out to myself and her sister, and her mother, and then transition to the Hope house in Springfield. I strongly encourage anyone battling with addiction and / or dual diagnosis as well, to call Carlson for bed availability and go through the program. A lot has changed in this field over the past five years, but most notably over the past two years, and there is help and there is hope, if you know somebody who’s struggling out there, they are somebody’s daughter they are somebody’s son. They could also be somebody’s spouse and they could also be somebody’s parent as well, try to do what you can to help them as long as it’s within your cable tow. God bless.

I think the Carlson center was awesome. They medicate you so you are really comfortable. Their food is incredible and you can get seconds too which is helpful when you are starving and coming off alcohol. Every time I relapsed I went there because I knew they would give me another chance. You should go to groups but yes you can sleep if you’re tired. I remember the first time I went there. I was in serious alcohol withdrawal. I had the best sleep after being medicated. Their staff is great too. They saved my life. They wake you up for vitals early but you may need medication. They have punch in the tv room which I drank like no tomorrow. Snacks too. I’ve been there like 7 times and they always treat me great. I wish I could say my name but can’t. You will always get a second chance there

I was very happy to have learned of this establishment. Many insurances are accepted like Medicaid and Medicare, although certain counselors accept certain insurances. The scheduling coordinators are very friendly and work with you to receive the help you need. It is also worth noting that services are offered for kids and even toddlers, with referalls offered as well.

My mom has been seeing Dr Foreman for at least 10 years and she drives 30 minutes for him even though she's nervous driving. She's always said how nice all of the receptionists are. I left a message yesterday to get an initial appointment but haven't heard back. I'll be calling again tomorrow because I absolutely hate where I am currently. And my mom's the most critical person ever and for her to like this place for over 10 years and STILL have great things to say says A LOT!
