My son, initially was in an inpatient facility and insurance denied the claim so we had to quickly get him moved to a different type of outpatient treatment. This is when I found Launch. I spoke with Clint in admissions and he was extremely kind and helpful as well as compassionate. He was able to seamlessly get my son moved out of the inpatient program and into php/iop and sober living within just a couple of days. He also spoke with my son and counseled him on important things to look for in a recovery center. My son was in a dark place when he started here and now 3 months later, he is so much better. I truly think everyone at launch was exactly what he needed. His therapist Jake seemed to really care about and get my son, which is so appreciated. The other staff were also fantastic. I would recommend this center to any young adult struggling with depression and or addiction issues. Grateful!!!

I remember the day of my first phone call, I had so little hope that things could improve for me and was skeptical if program was even worth it. But I did my intake with Clint and he was so personable, made me feel welcome and seen in a time I needed to be, and set the tone as to what my time at Launch would be like. It felt so aligned, so I swallowed my pride and he was the reason I took the leap and chance at this program even though I was hesitant before. I completed it and it's been several months since, and I'm well-regulated now, working full-time, and made lifelong friends I still talk to every day. Enthusiastic, always available when I'm at the program, super helpful, thanks to that day I chose to show up I know my life has changed much for the better and I'm a stronger person than I felt possible in the moment, I can manage through my bipolar symptoms with greater clarity and ease of functioning than before, and have gratitude to express towards the staff.

I spent three months at Launch, and it was a great experience. I’d been to other IOPs before, but Launch really stood out for how well it helped clients rebuild. Beyond standard therapy, Launch was hands-on and practical - focused on helping people build structure, improve routines, and take real steps toward school or employment. Kami, their on-staff educational consultant, helped me organize my transcripts and get back into school which made a huge difference. My parents also found the family sessions very helpful. The groups were well-run and clinically effective, and the staff genuinely cared about everyone’s progress.

I’d like to start off by saying that if it wasn’t for Alta Centers, I’d either be in jail or worse. I definitely wouldn’t be honored with an opportunity to leave this review. Alta Centers and its professional Staff literally save my life. They didn’t turn their back on me when I showed up in a drunken blackout. Not once but four times within a span of one week. Apparently I kept leaving and have little to no memory of these events. Today I admit to my inappropriate behavior because the person that was broken and in a dark place the day I showed up is not the sober person that’s leaving this review. The Staff literally cared and showed me love throughout my stay there because I didn’t have it for myself. Everyone played a VITAL role in my Recovery, Shannon, my Case Manager pulling me aside several times during my stay and helped me come up with a solid plan for my discharge, and after Care, Lee, Alta Center’s Chef by convincing me to return to Alta Centers during my drunken binge and providing top-notch meals on a daily, Ana, the owner for showing compassion and Care for me and allowed space for any concerns that me or the other clients needed. Ilya, my Therapist, who really provided a safe place for me to vent, keeping me engaged in my concerns or problems and providing me with useful feedback, Jordan Jackson, T, Carboni, Jolyon, for feedback when I was questioning things about myself, or my progress. Keely for her world of knowledge and insight to my situation. Jade for providing me with ideas on how to approach my issues pertaining to my relationship with my daughter. Deanne for providing an ear for me to vent and giving me no BS kinda feedback. Maxine for helping me see hope when I couldn’t see or feel it for myself. Silvia, Alta Centers nurse for not only caring for me, but being present if I’d needed to vent. Other Staff members who moved on to bigger and better things in their respective lives, Eden, Lee, Jennie, page Alex and others who left a huge imprint in my life. I could write so much more but the blessings provided to me by this place. If you’ve read this far, thank you for your time, patience and I’m guessing you get the point that I’m trying to make. Alta Centers wasn’t just a rehab for me. It became my home away from home and inherited lifelong friendships. I don’t say it lightly when I tell you this place is and it’s Prifessional Staff literally save my life and probably kept me away from a prison sentence. If you know you know and you know who you are lol. Thank you for not letting me drive that day. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to each and everyone of you. I will forever be indebted to you guys/gals for giving me my life back and loving me when I couldn’t love myself, let alone look at myself in the mirror. Lastly, if you want to sober up and need professional Staff who really do care and don’t shoot their wounded, then Alta Centers is the place you need to go to. Be forewarned, the desperation and work needs to come from you. If you are like me, you have been tirelessly researching online or calling various sober living facilities - feeling heartbroken, lost, desperate, and confused - all while facing a decision which would directly impact the livelihood of a loved one. No pressure, right? My family member had just completed rehab outside of Los Angeles and needed a sober living facility with good and honest people to help them adjust back to “real life.” All I knew at this point in my search is what I wanted for them. I was looking for a sober living facility where they would have focus on the program, be given the direction and guidance of counselors with care, be introduced to meetings around LA, all leading up to the goal of steering them back to a healthy and positive life. The real (and scary) answer is these places are hard to come by. I unfortunately saw that first-hand. Now to get to why I NEEDED to write this review. Nexus. 5 letters that make up a word I want to shout from the rooftops with such profound gratitude. Yes, my family member chose to do the work, take it seriously, make it a priority in their life, but it is also about who you surround yourself with. Nexus gave my family member a community bringing people into our lives which have changed it for the better. Nexus gave my family member counseling which has opened them up to realizing their true potential without the need of drugs or alcohol – they are just grateful to be walking in their shoes sober. And one of the most important attributes of Nexus you may ask? Those that run the program. Halim, Johnnie, Rob, and Dano. I will never forget the first night I talked to Halim. And I say “talked” as if it was only one time. We spoke at least 10 times and he was a savior. He picked my family member up from somewhere where they were drowning and brought them to the Playa house. I was in a different state and was powerless but Halim was there. How could I have been more fortunate? I am forever indebted to the people that work at the Playa house (house manager, supervisors, techs, case managers, drivers) and the program Nexus has brought to our lives. Nothing is more important to me then family, and Nexus gave me my family back.

I was stumbling around the barren wasteland of treatment centers desperate enough to buy the guise of empathetic adversaries stating they care for you promising water and nourishment only to be a mirage in the futile landscape (south Florida). So I showed up on a rainy day in Los Angeles and was greeted by great staff, met my therapist Melissa (amazing person and professional) and started group therapy. Delena, a group therapist at Nexus, is a god send and at this point I believe she might literally be an Earth Angel that brings light to all of the darkness that we think we believe when we get sober. I started to have hope for my future and felt like the impossible was now possible. Somewhere in the mix I met Kurt (another group therapist) I don’t know what exactly he does or how he does it... but he changed my life because I was always seeking answers to questions unattainable or that others never had the capacity to answer... but the best way to talk about Kurt is to not talk about Kurt and let people experience spirituality on THEIR terms! All the staff is wonderful shout out to UA Nick. Big Jeff will help you with all of your outside stuff legal, work ect but also knows what he is talking about in recovery and in spirituality. Halim Daniel is the go to guy for pretty much anything. He holds his staff just as accountable as the clients. Lastly, I’d recommend this place for anyone serious about recovery. The best testimony comes from clients and past members and what stands out to me is that a lot of past members are still sober or clean. We are all pretty close too. If you are fed up with the treatment industry I understand how you Feel. There is real solution and hope here and more than that to me is the amount of love ❤️

When my 19 year old son completed residential treatment I began the search for an outpatient program that could supplement his sober living. From the very first phone call to Nexus I knew we had found the right place. The initial contact was loving, warm, and encouraging which was exactly what I needed in those early days of his sobriety. Over the course of his seven months at Nexus those same traits from that first phone call grew and worked magic on my son. I can’t know what happened daily or even weekly at Nexus, but I know the changes I saw in my son. The young man he was destined to be was awakened and nurtured by Nexus. They kept me informed along the way and I was able to participate in a wonderful family program weekend. Today my son is in college and living a productive life. We both credit Nexus for providing him the space, support, insight and love he needed to move into this next chapter. I am forever grateful to the staff at Nexus.

This is a wonderful facility for detox and rehab. They are compassionate, accommodating, friendly, and professional. I felt truly cared for in a way that is very uncommon in the health care industry at large. I highly recommend them for your addiction and mental health needs! I would 100% go back if I ever needed to, but thanks to their hard work, I haven’t needed to! I’ll also add that their facilities are luxurious. We had every creature comfort the entire stay. A perfect place to hide away while you get your head back in order . They do a great job at discharge planning as well so that you aren’t just thrown out into the world without a solid transition plan.

Alcohol was destroying my life and I was afraid to admit that I needed help. I was at a jumping off point. From the moment I walked through their doors, I felt welcomed and supported. The staff is not only professional but also compassionate and incredibly understanding. The program is comprehensive, offering a mix of individual therapy, group sessions, and educational workshops that address both the physical and emotional aspects of addiction. The environment is clean, peaceful, and conducive to healing. The sense of community among the clients and staff is remarkable—it made me feel like I wasn’t alone on the journey.
