This place is amazing, they were able to accommodate our family immediately and very last minute. Unfortunately this is my husband’s second time in rehab, but even hard moments are a blessing. Because of this I was able to distinguish the level of care and attention to his sobriety journey.. My husband came back a new man, he apologized for his behavior, open to family and couples therapy and a better husband and father ❤️‍🩹. This facility not only dealt with his addiction but also focused on the cause of it. His mental health is better than when I first met him. He has a great sobriety tribe from here as well. After leaving we continue to attend the weekly alumni meetings, and will be joining future alumni events.. Golden Road is now part of our lives. Thank you to all of the staff they were and still are amazing, and continue to stay in touch. Absolutely loved starbridge from the moment I got here , was supposed to do 30 days and volunteered to do 45 , all the workers took really good care of me and the other clients. We did a lot of outdoor activities including disc golf , pickleball and the golf driving range. Also went to see many movies at AMC topanga. I also want to give a special shoutout to Anna , Evan , Adrianna , Zach , pearl and Leslie for just being awesome staff and really making starbridge what it is. Thank you guys for helping me along this journey of sobriety much love to you all.

Can’t say enough great things about this facility. The staff the guest speakers everyone who facilitated meetings or top-notch plenty of amenities here was never bored. Never hungry and I went through major withdrawals and came out on the other side. If I can do it, anyone can do it. I would leave 10 stars if I could.

Dr. Roe saved my life literally. I overdosed twice in a ten month period. Approx. 6 months ago the ambulance took me to the hospital 90% dead from opiates/benzos/ alcohol etc. The hospital refused to give me detox medication, so after 7 days with out sleep, detoxing heavily from 15 years of all mentioned above, I was convinced I was not going to make it. I finally slept in a real bed, Josh cooked excellent food daily and they loved me back to feeling like I was a special person with a reason to live. Once my mind & body could talk and walk she started therapy, meetings gave me more attention than I deserved. Dr. C and her and staff put me back together medically, physically and emotionally. It took 6 weeks of her Professional patients to bring me back to life and I have realized how fortunate l am to have met her. If anyone is hesitating on "surrender" Dr. C. - Josh & the Staff will make you comfortable, rested, loved and detoxed ready to get your life back. I've been to a dozen detoxes/rehabilitations in the past, 56 years old. I've been lied to by intake, telemarketers, showed up, walked out, name it… I've seen it. She is the only professional that told the truth (no sales pitch) and honored her word to the end. She handled the highest level of care, experience, love and professional knowledge. She treated my Son like royalty when he came to visit. I now have approx. 6 months of clean time because I was gifted a true & valuable life lesson of how to live. This is the best treatment center I've ever been through. The staff is caring the programs legit and doesn't ask too much of you. The detox and the residential houses are super nice. Honestly I cant say enough good things about Avedis. If you or a loved one is struggling with addiction this is one of the best spots if not the best spot to start sobriety. The owner is a Stand-up Guy that's not in it for the money like other places. Trust the process and you or your loved one will do fantastic.

Go here! I know. I know. It’s suspicious when someone offers to fly you to LA ASAP. Trust me, this is the place to go. They will book your flights, pick you up at the airport, etc. Additionally, they handle all of the behind-the-scenes parts (i.e. contacting your workplace, paperwork, etc.). The facility for detox / residential is top notch. You get lunch and dinner catered. You can also make a grocery list for them to get for you. The staff is top notch. I was spoiled with how great my case manager was. The medical techs were also great. I had a mental breakdown and one of them brought me into her office to talk be back to sanity. Basically, how it works is you spend thirty days at the detox / residential facility. The first week-ish is your detox. The rest is going to group courses. Once you complete that, you have the option to do their PHP program (residential living). Much more freedom, fewer classes. If you are someone who has had a history with and have gotten out of religion, AA is pushed heavily on you. Thankfully, I was allowed to go another route for semi-daily meetings once I reached the PHP phase. Bring items comforting you. For me, it was definitely a different area than the Midwest. I certainly wish I had brought by blanket that was breathable in the warm climate. All in all, this was a great opportunity to meet new friends AND get out of whichever substance you have had an issue with.

Spending two months at Invigorate genuinely changed my life. When I first arrived, I was overwhelmed, scared, and honestly unsure what my future was going to look like. Over time, this place became so much more than just a rehab facility to me. The staff truly cared about me as a person, not just another client walking through the door. The support, structure, conversations, and friendships I built there gave me the foundation I needed to finally start over. I’m still sober today, and I constantly think about how different my life could look if I hadn’t made the decision to go to treatment. I speak highly of Invigorate all the time and have specifically referred people there because I genuinely believe in what they do. I’ll always be grateful for the role they played in helping me get my life back.

I must admit that I was a bit skeptical at first about going to a treatment living facility. This was due to my own perceptions and stigma on being open with total strangers on my addiction. I didn't realize that a communal atmosphere is just what I needed to open up and take care of well being. I stayed for 6 months at the Haven House in Long Beach. They had so many resources for me getting my life back on the right track. I found a setting of other guys who had been through so much and were there to listen and to encourage my progress. I honestly felt like staying resort for rehabilitating everything about myself. We did yoga to help the mind and body. We had movie nights to laugh and think and engage in life conversations. The best part was the proximity to the beach. We had a lot of outings and picnics along the Long Beach Shore. I very much recommend this establishment if you wish to progress through addiction and leave all the more better for society.

If you are like me, you have been tirelessly researching online or calling various sober living facilities - feeling heartbroken, lost, desperate, and confused - all while facing a decision which would directly impact the livelihood of a loved one. No pressure, right? My family member had just completed rehab outside of Los Angeles and needed a sober living facility with good and honest people to help them adjust back to “real life.” All I knew at this point in my search is what I wanted for them. I was looking for a sober living facility where they would have focus on the program, be given the direction and guidance of counselors with care, be introduced to meetings around LA, all leading up to the goal of steering them back to a healthy and positive life. The real (and scary) answer is these places are hard to come by. I unfortunately saw that first-hand. Now to get to why I NEEDED to write this review. Nexus. 5 letters that make up a word I want to shout from the rooftops with such profound gratitude. Yes, my family member chose to do the work, take it seriously, make it a priority in their life, but it is also about who you surround yourself with. Nexus gave my family member a community bringing people into our lives which have changed it for the better. Nexus gave my family member counseling which has opened them up to realizing their true potential without the need of drugs or alcohol – they are just grateful to be walking in their shoes sober. And one of the most important attributes of Nexus you may ask? Those that run the program. Halim, Johnnie, Rob, and Dano. I will never forget the first night I talked to Halim. And I say “talked” as if it was only one time. We spoke at least 10 times and he was a savior. He picked my family member up from somewhere where they were drowning and brought them to the Playa house. I was in a different state and was powerless but Halim was there. How could I have been more fortunate? I am forever indebted to the people that work at the Playa house (house manager, supervisors, techs, case managers, drivers) and the program Nexus has brought to our lives. Nothing is more important to me then family, and Nexus gave me my family back.

I was stumbling around the barren wasteland of treatment centers desperate enough to buy the guise of empathetic adversaries stating they care for you promising water and nourishment only to be a mirage in the futile landscape (south Florida). So I showed up on a rainy day in Los Angeles and was greeted by great staff, met my therapist Melissa (amazing person and professional) and started group therapy. Delena, a group therapist at Nexus, is a god send and at this point I believe she might literally be an Earth Angel that brings light to all of the darkness that we think we believe when we get sober. I started to have hope for my future and felt like the impossible was now possible. Somewhere in the mix I met Kurt (another group therapist) I don’t know what exactly he does or how he does it... but he changed my life because I was always seeking answers to questions unattainable or that others never had the capacity to answer... but the best way to talk about Kurt is to not talk about Kurt and let people experience spirituality on THEIR terms! All the staff is wonderful shout out to UA Nick. Big Jeff will help you with all of your outside stuff legal, work ect but also knows what he is talking about in recovery and in spirituality. Halim Daniel is the go to guy for pretty much anything. He holds his staff just as accountable as the clients. Lastly, I’d recommend this place for anyone serious about recovery. The best testimony comes from clients and past members and what stands out to me is that a lot of past members are still sober or clean. We are all pretty close too. If you are fed up with the treatment industry I understand how you Feel. There is real solution and hope here and more than that to me is the amount of love ❤️

When my 19 year old son completed residential treatment I began the search for an outpatient program that could supplement his sober living. From the very first phone call to Nexus I knew we had found the right place. The initial contact was loving, warm, and encouraging which was exactly what I needed in those early days of his sobriety. Over the course of his seven months at Nexus those same traits from that first phone call grew and worked magic on my son. I can’t know what happened daily or even weekly at Nexus, but I know the changes I saw in my son. The young man he was destined to be was awakened and nurtured by Nexus. They kept me informed along the way and I was able to participate in a wonderful family program weekend. Today my son is in college and living a productive life. We both credit Nexus for providing him the space, support, insight and love he needed to move into this next chapter. I am forever grateful to the staff at Nexus.

I had a pleasant experience here especially the first time. The second time I did over hear staff talking about me in the kitchen which was right next to my room. Also fare to say those staff members no longer work there. But I also I wasnt the most pleasant person either, but since this is a detox I'm allowed to be messy. However I was allowed to come back and make an amends to the staff. I would however recommend this place over others but the only reason I left 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the conversation that I overheard. But again this staff members are no longer there. This place can be informative in regards to the addiction process. I'd recommend coming here also.

Lafuente saved my life and I will forever be grateful for the opportunity to find myself with the support of such an understanding and caring staff. I flew from Florida on a chance to find community and a reason to get sober and I found that here and so much more. Thanks to the compassion and empathy of the staff, I found myself learning to have hope for a better future and a chance at a life I would be proud to live. West Wind Recovery helped me completely turn my life around and provided a soft place for me to land while I worked on myself. One of the most impactful parts of my treatment was weekly yoga classes. Venus is an amazing yoga instructor and helped me connect deeper with my body and mind. I have also grown a lot with the help of my therapist Toni. I had relapsed after getting over 900 days sober, and was not in a good place physically and emotionally. I was lost, not a lot of self worth and hating myself. This place changed that over the course of 4 weeks as an out patient. Perfect amount of care, discipline and accountability. If you don’t want to be held accountable and become motivated to achieve a better life this is not the place. Forward is a facility that will do literally anything to make recovery comfortable, and even fun. There is a strong emphasis on forgiveness and reducing shame. The old tech, Anton was a really cool guy, immediately providing a sense of comfort and calmness and Lonnie is the owner whose kindness and care are responsible for getting my foot in the door to begin the most challenging and rewarding journey of my life. Couldn’t be more thankful for the team at Forward. Greg stood out as someone who really cared about your sobriety and had a unique but thoughtful solution to being sober. The VA hospice staff has been incredible in the care they’ve provided for my brother. They truly take the time to get to know him as a person, not just a patient. Every staff member introduces themselves to guests as soon as they walk in, and you can feel the compassion and intention behind every word they speak. It makes such a difference during a difficult time. The environment itself is just as comforting—the grounds are peaceful, and the community garden with its stunning flowers adds a sense of beauty and calm. This place doesn’t feel like a hospital; it feels like a family.
