The road to finding a top notch Recovery Center for our loved one finally landed us at TARC after four different and unsuccessful experiences in four different recommended centers throughout the country. One thing that I still remember from our initial calls with Christine are the words, “We will not give up on your son.” They have been true to their word and more- the transformation we have seen in our son is truly amazing and I thank the wonderful staff for their knowledge, commitment and compassion throughout the recovery process. I feel as though the staff goes beyond what is required of them and believe that this is a key reason that TARC is so well respected among clients and their families. Staff is readily available for family members that have questions or just want an update on their loved one. The Family Weekends were amazing and packed with informative sessions as well as time for relaxation with family and the other clients and their families. TARC is a smaller recovery center which provides our son with individual attention and counseling as well as group sessions which promote unity and support among the clients themselves. We love that they provide a continuum of services after the initial three months of inpatient, transitioning clients to Cornerstone and then Sober Living all on their same property allowing for continuing services with the same wonderful staff that has supported them throughout their recovery! The bonds that form among clients, staff, and within the community have helped tremendously in supporting a long term recovery for our son. I want to personally thank the entire staff at TARC because each and every one of them played an important part in giving us our son back but a special shout out to his case manager Scott whose knowledge, patience and compassion got us all through some very difficult times. My brother was in a few rehabs before my mother and I found TARC and nothing else could compare. The way the entire staff truly cared about the recovery of the guys there and their families is extraordinary. My brothers case manager, Ryan, always stayed in constant contact with both my mother and I. He was always a phone call away if we had any questions or concerns. He also reached out to us at minimum, on a weekly basis to keep us updated on my brothers progress. He always showed genuine care, compassion and concern. No other facility he was in ever did that! They also offer weekly family support group meetings which have been so helpful. After visiting during one of their family weekends, I could see the positive community and its impact on my brother. They really focus on a healthy lifestyle, behaviors and routines which my brother has continued after leaving TARC. I met him on my first day at the clinic — a day when I was sick, overwhelmed, and angry that I was even there…on my birthday, no less. I remember him saying to me that this was the best birthday present I could give myself. I didn’t believe him then, but now, over 2 years later, I can see that he was a 1000% right. I also remember how uncomfortable I was but Jack put me at ease immediately, he met me with kindness and compassion, and I feel so fortunate that on my first day, he was the first person I ran into. Throughout my first year of sobriety, Jack consistently went above and beyond. In the beginning, I remember connecting with him over cats- we were both cat-people. Through the first few months of my recovery, I was battling homelessness, & Jack always checked in with me and made sure my cat was ok and had food. That is above & beyond, genuinely kind, & exactly the traits you look for in a counselor. He always made himself available, provided honest and thoughtful guidance, and I appreciated when he asked me insightful questions that helped me understand my resilience, the circumstances of my recovery, and how I had the power to build a clear path forward. His approach is both realistic and deeply kind, and I always felt safe and supported in his care. And laughter! We were able to find humor in an otherwise complicated and dire situation. He always did everything he could to help me. I’ll never forget how supportive he was- you can tell he really cares. After I finished my therapy with Nicole, for the first time in my entire life , I no longer had intense suicidal urges and tendencies to self harm. Lakeview was amazing, it saved my life. It felt like a vacation, Its practically a health resort. It was so peaceful and serene. I felt I was cared about when cared for, I felt like they were actually invested in my recovery rather than feeling like a number. From the nurses to the blue-shirts, the therapists, the kitchen staff... everyone was so nice and supportive. The food was amazing, honestly. The pool was nice, gym was immaculate. Yoga instructors were awesome. We went for surfing lessons, went out to a horse farm to pet and feed some little horses. You have a massage therapist come in, and someone to come in for haircuts. Theres even a little zen meditation room. The lake on the men's side is full of life, little ducks and geese, big bass and turtles you can feed - although I don't think you're supposed to, anyways. The facility is nice, its got a real pretty view, good food, great staff. I cant imagine how they could go wrong. If I had to complain, the apartments, the PHP after the inpatient - the last period before you graduate... the apartments kind of sucked, but the comradery, the fellowship there.. it was a great place to transition back into the real world. And the girl at the window that took the cigarette and vape orders seemed like she was always having a bad day... but still. This place is amazing. I love Lakeview. I brag about my experience there. I was there during Lakeview's infancy, when there was only one building, a couple of picnic tables, a basketball hoop and a beat up volleyball net. The therapists were exceptional, and I credit them—along with other staff members—for my engagement and my desire to fully commit to and benefit from my time there. The programming was a major strength, especially the medical sessions led by doctors and nurses, as well as the psychotherapy sessions led by trained therapists. These were pivotal to my success. They also offer nightly 12‑step meetings, typically hosted by outside groups such as AA and NA, which added meaningful support. The living arrangements exceeded my expectations. The dorm room was comfortable (the beds were genuinely great), the food was very good with a wide variety of options every day, and there was a healthy balance of structured programming and downtime for reading, homework, movies, and rest. One thing that particularly impressed me was their weekly Town Hall, where patients can openly raise concerns, complaints, suggestions, and compliments directly with leadership, including the CEO, Clinical Director, Nursing, Maintenance, and BHTs. While the facility is clearly short‑staffed, I never once felt unsafe or discouraged from voicing my concerns. Some of the rules could be frustrating, but they are clearly in place for patient safety. I am 44 days sober today. When I arrived, I was angry at the world, ready to leave AMA, and intent on drinking myself to death. I left with a powerful desire to live and to continue doing the next right thing to stay grounded in my recovery. Stepping Stone—especially my individual therapist and the classes—saved my life. I have came and gone, I have had counselor after counselor. My counselor now is IRA. I have been close with a lot of my counselors before but he’s the first counselor I can honestly say I have been 100% honest with. No judgement. When I think I have accomplished something as small as a grain of sand he reminds me of the mountain I just moved. Today I broke down and he brought up things that hit the heart with me and made so much sense because he actually listens. Other counselors have pushed me to go to meetings when all I needed was one on one counseling and the counseling I received today was exactly what I needed. I just wanted to share how awesome IRA is and how much he is apppreciated. I am so thankful for this clinic because I don’t feel so alone anymore. First let me say thank God for The Augustine Recovery Center! The road to finding a top notch Recovery Center for our loved one finally landed us at TARC after four different and unsuccessful experiences in four different recommended centers throughout the country. One thing that I still remember from our initial calls with Christine are the words, “We will not give up on your son.” They have been true to their word and more- the transformation we have seen in our son is truly amazing and I thank the wonderful staff for their knowledge, commitment and compassion throughout the recovery process. I feel as though the staff goes beyond what is required of them and believe that this is a key reason that TARC is so well respected among clients and their families. Staff is readily available for family members that have questions or just want an update on their loved one. The Family Weekends were amazing and packed with informative sessions as well as time for relaxation with family and the other clients and their families. TARC is a smaller recovery center which provides our son with individual attention and counseling as well as group sessions which promote unity and support among the clients themselves. We love that they provide a continuum of services after the initial three months of inpatient, transitioning clients to Cornerstone and then Sober Living all on their same property allowing for continuing services with the same wonderful staff that has supported them throughout their recovery! The bonds that form among clients, staff, and within the community have helped tremendously in supporting a long term recovery for our son. I want to personally thank the entire staff at TARC because each and every one of them played an important part in giving us our son back but a special shout out to his case manager Scott whose knowledge, patience and compassion got us all through some very difficult times. We are all forever grateful to you!

If you are looking for a long term rehab for your loved one, look no further. My brother was in a few rehabs before my mother and I found TARC and nothing else could compare. The way the entire staff truly cared about the recovery of the guys there and their families is extraordinary. My brothers case manager, Ryan, always stayed in constant contact with both my mother and I. He was always a phone call away if we had any questions or concerns. He also reached out to us at minimum, on a weekly basis to keep us updated on my brothers progress. He always showed genuine care, compassion and concern. No other facility he was in ever did that! They also offer weekly family support group meetings which have been so helpful. After visiting during one of their family weekends, I could see the positive community and its impact on my brother. They really focus on a healthy lifestyle, behaviors and routines which my brother has continued after leaving TARC. I am extremely grateful for all the staff at TARC and their role in my brothers recovery.

The family weekends are immersive, supportive, and meaningful. The treatment team was not just focused on my son; they were piecing together information about our family system in order to promote true healing. The commitment and support that we received was invaluable. Jon, our case manager and Karen, our therapist came together in every way possible to help my son and family. Jon was always one step ahead of me. He would listen and ask questions - often challenging my ideas and was always right in his approach. Karen, our therapist, always knew how to bring things back into balance. I truly appreciate the amount of time she spent to bring about the best outcomes in therapy. I have never witnessed such dedicated people interact with my son and be able to reach the depth of understanding the way they did. I was often in awe of them. I don't understand the bad reviews...my husband has had a hernia surgery and numerous cardiology tests in the last six months here, and in every instance the care has been outstanding! I spent my first night (a Saturday night at that) in the ER. Nights 2-4 in ICU and my 5th and final night in ICU Stepdown. All things considered, it was not an unpleasant experience. Everyone was extremely nice. Nurses, staff and Doctors were very attentive and on top of things. Labs and test results were available quickly. Even the food wasn't bad. They treated my family members well. Impressive service for a hospital.

This is the first time I've been in a treatment center. The faculty is outstanding, 5 star. They care. Always courteous. My favorite nurse is a lady named Toni. She just has what it takes to make my mind go somewhere else than on my problems of the day. She keeps a close eye on everything going on and the clients as they pass her station. She recognizes symptoms and actually stops me to see if I need anything to help at that moment. She's a great listener and I will miss her so much after I leave to start my new life of freedom from drugs and alcohol and my daily overall mental health. Jack is an outstanding counselor whose support has been instrumental in my recovery. I met him on my first day at the clinic — a day when I was sick, overwhelmed, and angry that I was even there…on my birthday, no less. I remember him saying to me that this was the best birthday present I could give myself. I didn’t believe him then, but now, over 2 years later, I can see that he was a 1000% right. I also remember how uncomfortable I was but Jack put me at ease immediately, he met me with kindness and compassion, and I feel so fortunate that on my first day, he was the first person I ran into. Throughout my first year of sobriety, Jack consistently went above and beyond. In the beginning, I remember connecting with him over cats- we were both cat-people. Through the first few months of my recovery, I was battling homelessness, & Jack always checked in with me and made sure my cat was ok and had food. That is above & beyond, genuinely kind, & exactly the traits you look for in a counselor. He always made himself available, provided honest and thoughtful guidance, and I appreciated when he asked me insightful questions that helped me understand my resilience, the circumstances of my recovery, and how I had the power to build a clear path forward. His approach is both realistic and deeply kind, and I always felt safe and supported in his care. And laughter! We were able to find humor in an otherwise complicated and dire situation. He always did everything he could to help me. I’ll never forget how supportive he was- you can tell he really cares. I still check in with him today, and he continues to be supportive and encouraging. I truly believe I’m sober today in large part because of his help, guidance, & support. I couldn’t recommend him more highly.

I had my visit lab work, 01/09/2020 and my first doctor visit 01/10/2020, the reception, respect and care almost brought to tears. This is the first time since being enrolled in VA since 1985 that I was made to feel my service and sacrifices were truly appreciated. The reception received from Deborah Lincoln who checked me in, to LPN Paige Smith who took my vitals and recorded my medical history and my doctor, Dr. Deepali Agralwal was the finest and best ever received. My gratitude and thanks to them and all the care providers, technicians and staff, my undying gratitude from a very grateful Vietnam Veteran.

I needed a specific therapy called EMDR due to traumatic incidents. I had difficulty finding a therapist with the licensing to perform EMDR at a reasonable price. However here at SMA my therapist Miss Nicole was able to do exactly that, and thankfully they offered a sliding fee scale, so it was affordable. After I finished my therapy with Nicole, for the first time in my entire life , I no longer had intense suicidal urges and tendencies to self harm. If it wasn’t for SMA I wouldn’t have been able to get the help I desperately needed. I will forever be so grateful towards everyone here at SMA, you all truly helped save my life.

I came to Recovery Keys via a referral from the lead detox physician at the University of Florida. At that point, I was unable to even drive. My main addiction was alcohol. The program I entered into takes a three hundred sixty degree approach to the treatment alcohol and drug addiction. They use a complete approach, under the direction of physicians and addictionologists. Early on, I was not the easiest, most cooperative patient. As time went on, and with a great amount of patience and encouragement, I made substantial progress in controlling my addiction and actually understanding the root causes in order to carve out a new life. Around me I saw amazing progress among the other patients. The amount of knowledge, patience and caring at this facility is incredible. I am getting my life back and cannot express my gratitude enough to do justice to the program and all of those involved. Thank you.

I wanted to change/update a prior review. I had a minor miss understanding and lack of communication initially, but a manager called me and was very kind and helpful. Although I didn't ultimately end up going (I was able to safely take care of my health issue and feel a lot better now), that manager that called me really made a difference. She's not obligated to call me on her free time. But she did, because she wanted to know I was doing okay. That's something unusual these days... getting decent customer service. I wish anyone all the best if they are going through any health or personal issues.

I was just bragging about Lakeview and pointing a friend in this direction, and i was shocked to see even one negative review. Lakeview was amazing, it saved my life. It felt like a vacation, Its practically a health resort. It was so peaceful and serene. I felt I was cared about when cared for, I felt like they were actually invested in my recovery rather than feeling like a number. From the nurses to the blue-shirts, the therapists, the kitchen staff... everyone was so nice and supportive. The food was amazing, honestly. The pool was nice, gym was immaculate. Yoga instructors were awesome. We went for surfing lessons, went out to a horse farm to pet and feed some little horses. You have a massage therapist come in, and someone to come in for haircuts. Theres even a little zen meditation room. The lake on the men's side is full of life, little ducks and geese, big bass and turtles you can feed - although I don't think you're supposed to, anyways. The facility is nice, its got a real pretty view, good food, great staff. I cant imagine how they could go wrong. If I had to complain, the apartments, the PHP after the inpatient - the last period before you graduate... the apartments kind of sucked, but the comradery, the fellowship there.. it was a great place to transition back into the real world. And the girl at the window that took the cigarette and vape orders seemed like she was always having a bad day... but still. This place is amazing. I love Lakeview. I brag about my experience there. I highly recommend it.

I was a patient at Lakeview from October 20, 2002, to November 19, 2002. I was there during Lakeview's infancy, when there was only one building, a couple of picnic tables, a basketball hoop and a beat up volleyball net. I can tell you, with great conviction, their program works. Lakeview gave me the tools I needed to learn how to live a sober life. I still use those tools today, and I have been sober for just over 23 years now. I wish I could come down there and speak to the people currently residing there and tell them it's possible to turn theirs lives around. I am living proof of that, Thank you, Lakeview.

I didn’t always agree with how everything was run, but overall the program was truly worthwhile and helped me tremendously. The therapists were exceptional, and I credit them—along with other staff members—for my engagement and my desire to fully commit to and benefit from my time there. The programming was a major strength, especially the medical sessions led by doctors and nurses, as well as the psychotherapy sessions led by trained therapists. These were pivotal to my success. They also offer nightly 12‑step meetings, typically hosted by outside groups such as AA and NA, which added meaningful support. The living arrangements exceeded my expectations. The dorm room was comfortable (the beds were genuinely great), the food was very good with a wide variety of options every day, and there was a healthy balance of structured programming and downtime for reading, homework, movies, and rest. One thing that particularly impressed me was their weekly Town Hall, where patients can openly raise concerns, complaints, suggestions, and compliments directly with leadership, including the CEO, Clinical Director, Nursing, Maintenance, and BHTs. While the facility is clearly short‑staffed, I never once felt unsafe or discouraged from voicing my concerns. Some of the rules could be frustrating, but they are clearly in place for patient safety. I am 44 days sober today. When I arrived, I was angry at the world, ready to leave AMA, and intent on drinking myself to death. I left with a powerful desire to live and to continue doing the next right thing to stay grounded in my recovery. Stepping Stone—especially my individual therapist and the classes—saved my life. I will be forever grateful.

Mrs.lynn is so amazing I've stuck it out in groups for so long with her without a single relapse . This woman is such an amazing mentor. She is an amazing shoulder to cry on and offers amazing advice. I feel if I continue at this pace I’ll be free from my dependency. The staff at groups are wonderful and my meeting time is great. I have no issues whatsoever of Groups Recover Together. It was a blessing to hear about groups and joining was the best thing that has happened to me in the last few years..

Miss Vanetta is my counselor, and she is such an important part of now only my recovery, but I know all of my fellow peers/friends.. well actually everyone in my group feels like my family to me. I just wanted to share that I have been going to this clinic off and on since 2013. I have came and gone, I have had counselor after counselor. My counselor now is IRA. I have been close with a lot of my counselors before but he’s the first counselor I can honestly say I have been 100% honest with. No judgement. When I think I have accomplished something as small as a grain of sand he reminds me of the mountain I just moved. Today I broke down and he brought up things that hit the heart with me and made so much sense because he actually listens. Other counselors have pushed me to go to meetings when all I needed was one on one counseling and the counseling I received today was exactly what I needed. I just wanted to share how awesome IRA is and how much he is apppreciated. I am so thankful for this clinic because I don’t feel so alone anymore. If you’re thinking about starting I would recommend this clinic 1000 percent. I’ve gone to multiple clinics and this clinic is by far the best

I was a client at the TH in September of 2017. I was there as a doc client. I was treated like a person. The counselor I has was AMAZING.She help me learn how to love myself again. The Transition House is a great great program! All the counselors and all the behavioral techs care about every single person that walks through the door! Every group is informative and gives you the tools to exceed quality sobriety! This program is not for people who need it, but for people who want it! One of the greatest things I have learned in this program,is I had to change myself and my old behaviors (not just the ones I wanted)...but all of them! I have been here for 5months and I am truly not the same person that walked in the door on December 31! The administration, staff and clients have helped to make the man I am today! Thank you Transition House! I can truly say I love Christopher Stewart!!!
