Our loved one has now moved on to a sober-living home in another state for career-related reasons. While we wish he had chosen to stay longer and then continue with TARC’s sober-living program, which we understand is also very strong, we remain deeply grateful for the foundation TARC helped him build.

This is the first time I've been in a treatment center. The faculty is outstanding, 5 star. They care. Always courteous. My favorite nurse is a lady named Toni. She just has what it takes to make my mind go somewhere else than on my problems of the day. She keeps a close eye on everything going on and the clients as they pass her station. She recognizes symptoms and actually stops me to see if I need anything to help at that moment. She's a great listener and I will miss her so much after I leave to start my new life of freedom from drugs and alcohol and my daily overall mental health. I want to thank the people of Spencer's recovery for the fine work they do morning, noon and night to keep everyone comfortable and in good spirits. I was in the worst stage of my life I was evicted from my home in Augusta ga and my wife passed away and facing homelessness with my two elderly dogs and was ready to give up I was lost in addiction, substance abuse combat related ptsd but here I found that I had a desire to not use or drink I know now I can trust again I was definitely lost in life but now I feel a I got a fresh start a new beginning a new chapter thanks to Dr. Pauls by the sea recovery the staff were amazing The people I met, Paul had the same desire to get better and thanks to Dr. Paul he was covering I was able to obtain four months recovery and looking forward to moving on to a healthier life. I have been a client for over 7 years in St Augustine. I would like to thank the staff, they do the best job they can considering the amount of turnovers with Directors, and always being understaffed. Kathy, has hung in there and has always had my back. It's unfortunate that the Corporate office, does not appreciate the fact, that the few employees they have working for them are hard working, dedicated, and give 110% to make sure clients are treated with the utmost care. I came to Recovery Keys via a referral from the lead detox physician at the University of Florida. At that point, I was unable to even drive. My main addiction was alcohol. The program I entered into takes a three hundred sixty degree approach to the treatment alcohol and drug addiction. They use a complete approach, under the direction of physicians and addictionologists. Early on, I was not the easiest, most cooperative patient. As time went on, and with a great amount of patience and encouragement, I made substantial progress in controlling my addiction and actually understanding the root causes in order to carve out a new life. Around me I saw amazing progress among the other patients. The amount of knowledge, patience and caring at this facility is incredible. I am getting my life back and cannot express my gratitude enough to do justice to the program and all of those involved. Thank you.

I had my visit lab work, 01/09/2020 and my first doctor visit 01/10/2020, the reception, respect and care almost brought to tears. This is the first time since being enrolled in VA since 1985 that I was made to feel my service and sacrifices were truly appreciated. I needed a specific therapy called EMDR due to traumatic incidents. I had difficulty finding a therapist with the licensing to perform EMDR at a reasonable price. However here at SMA my therapist Miss Nicole was able to do exactly that, and thankfully they offered a sliding fee scale, so it was affordable. After I finished my therapy with Nicole, for the first time in my entire life , I no longer had intense suicidal urges and tendencies to self harm. If it wasn’t for SMA I wouldn’t have been able to get the help I desperately needed. I will forever be so grateful towards everyone here at SMA, you all truly helped save my life.

So I’m hoping this is my last treatment center. Tides gave me what I needed when I needed it. I initially thought after 9 days I’d go home. As we do I thought that would be enough. The staff was smart and let me decide and gently pushed me in the direction of staying longer. I ended up doing 21 days but had planned to stay for 28. Unfortunately my insurance said it wasn’t medically necessary to stay past 21 days. The group sessions at the detox part of tides were good I really liked my counselor. When/if you go to the other tides which is a lower level of care that’s when the more intensive therapy starts. I think this is perhaps a unique approach when we first arrive in treatment we dont necessarily need to be thrust into deep therapy conversations were more than likely detoxing and need to heal more than anything. The reason why it’s 4 stars and not 5 is cause of the food. Some of my meals weren’t even edible. They cater them in and they really are mostly bad. You won’t starve I did find other options for me but just would’ve been better if the food wasn’t so bad. Either way we find something to get a resentment at and it really just takes one resentment to justify leaving early so I tried to be conscious aware of that. I truly appreciate everyone I came into contact with at tides from the staff to the clients and again I plan on this being my last treatment center but that will only happen if I remember that I just gotta stay sober for today.

So anyone who needs help and wants sobriety I highly recommend Beaches Recovery. Chris Colcord is truly an angel and the staff at Tides, Mike, Lindsay, Celeste..my counselor Matt! Absolutely amazing team there. And then when you move over to Beaches, Elizabeth is the best therapist, constantly advocating and fighting for us..and the house techs Jennifer, Dawn and Sydney truly care and help with any and all that you need. I could never thank them all enough for everything and being apart of my journey in sobriety. I will forever be thankful. I was in great need of help for depression when I found 5 Palms in Ormond Beach, FL. I completed their 28-day program last month. During my voluntary stay, I gained knowledge of CBT and DBT and many skills for returning myself to a mentally balanced state of mind. With these skills, I am now able to stop my depression and related anxiety from "taking over" my thoughts and I have longer, more frequent periods of clear productive thought which have significantly improved my life. I was also very impressed with the professionalism of all levels of the staff and I felt safe and well cared for at a very sensitive time.

Promises 5 Palms was absolutely amazing! The people the community fabulous! Let me say I was very nervous to go to rehab a facility whatever you want to call it. Once I was there the positive energy ran through. I felt comfortable with all the staff as well as the other clients. They help you through anything that comes up. All you need to do is ask. I was so amazed with Promises! I would recommend to anyone that needs help with either mental health and or drug addiction recovery. Dom saved me more than once love him!Dom is AWESOME!! The nurse's were a huge help to me. Never talked or looked down on me, he was just a huge help!
The food was great, the people were awesome. The people I have met there are wonderful I WILL have friendships 💓 forever. Promises ROCKS! WHAT A GREAT EXPERIENCE. This place absolutely saved my life. I was a complete mess the staff is very compassionate and understanding and very easy to talk to. They help me realize there's so much more to life than that stagnant position I was sitting in that horrible Rabbit Hole I was going down thank you stepping stones for being there for me and pulling me up and far away from that rabbit hole!!!

Counselor Jamie is amazing!!! She is soooo down to earth and caring and compationate that without her wisdom and passion about the tools needed to stay focused and sober i would not have been able to manage my sobriety ..i would reccomend talking to Miss Jamie if you want to get sober or stay sober!!! As a relative of Silas, a client of Ms. Regina. Ms. Regina is excellent in her unique energy . My relative sees her as blessed to be compassionate, proactive, nurturing, and good listening skills. Close to perfection of a human being. If I was a client, I hope and desire the same treatment as she did my family member. 5 stars does not provide enough justice in ratings.
