6 months sober and yall were right life truly does get better :) I came all the way from St. Louis and I felt nothing but love as soon as I walked in the doors. My first time in rehab and 4 hours from home the anxiety was real. Justin, Madison & Alexander truly gave me so many words of encouragement and life advice I will forever hold close to my heart. When I wanted to turn around and walk out those doors and they reminded me it was important to be comfortable in uncomfortable situations because that’s how I would grow. My counselor Angela was also amazing. She made me feel like she was my best friend and connected with me and made sure I truly felt seen. she didn’t seem to try to hard to do that either, it was just naturally done of her. All the workers there made sobriety look so cool. I will forever thank rosecrance for giving me my life back :)

In all honesty people may talk down on greendale staff and the place that gave them a place to lay there head because they don't like rules which if they can't handle the rules and feed back that would help them out in life then that's on them and I wasn't too crazy about coming here seven months ago and I'm going on my 8th month and wanted to leave on my 2nd month but if you give the staff a chance to talk to them and interact with them then you would think twice about listening to others how horrible it is here which it isn't at all. I actually learned a lot here. I learned patience which I had none at all well very little when I got here now I can stand in line at a gas station for a hour and don't mind but what I'm trying to say is greendale helped me a lot and the staff does listen to your needs and concerns and everyone handles things differently in a positive way of course. Also they made me look at everyone isn't all bad people and everyone does things differently it's just that you want to change or be stuck at the bottom and they honestly opened my eyes and made me see the glass is always full and ever half full anywhere u go there's going to be that person who doesn't like something or someone well guess what that's life and if you want to change and I was very stubborn person words goes in one ear out the other and as time went on isnt like that for me anymore here not to kiss butt well put this if you want the help and want to stay clean and sober greendale and greendale staff is here 24/7 for who ever also the residents is pretty cool too.

It's all in the name "Recovery home". . Rosecrance recovery home is one of the smartest decisions I've ever made. Woodstock is one of the cleanest buildings I've ever been in. If staying sober is your goal, this place is second to none. There may be a lot of rules but nothing out of control. The rules are quite simple by comparison to having a lifestyle that was out of control. Everybody here is very helpful as far as the staff goes. Not to mention the intelligence of some of the staff is amazing. Life skills are very important. Rosecrance recovery home put you on a healthy path for everyday living. Woodstock recovery home is run by caring attentive staff. The homes are beautiful and kept nice and clean. Anyone looking to establish a network of good people in the sober community should consider this program. I have seen some pretty nasty things written here about remedies and just want to clear some things up most of these poor reviews are from those under the influence of addiction and are angry because they won’t follow rules, firstly I know quite a few people who have been there long term (years) with no issues, including myself after years I was sent away one day for being 10 mins late it sucked but I was ok and didn’t oversleep again I learned a lesson, they treat everyone fairly but you have to do what your expected to do being fresh at sobriety is hard and their no pajamas and being there before 9am rules seems to be a big issue for most if you can’t be responsible for your basics how can you keep yourself clean? They will help but won’t make you do anything you won’t cooperate with! This is a rehabilitation center not a place to make friends so stay clean, keep away from others and mind the rules these simple things will take you far…..

This is a decent facility that includes professional amenities. Has a good kitchen. At least three meals a day available, activities including a gym, disc golf course, basketball court and a WALK course. Other activities include a TV room, computer lab, therpy sessions and consumers. Staff is promt with dealing with issuess. Overall this place is a safe zone while some clients cant meet the grade. I recommend this place

I am understanding a bit more context that they don't bring forth immediately, but it is something that I sense. The facility needs more funding so they can grow and provide better support for people. It's not the people that work at the facilities fault it really isn't but rather they really need funding. Please be patient with the staff and emphasize with them. I implore people who attend there to be patient and understand their perspective They will not openly address it because of professional reasons... They are trying. Please be mindful of their needs as well. It's going to be difficult for everyone. 🖤

Staff are dedicated and professional. The Ben Gordon Center "living room" is a highly-accessible safe space. It is a refuge from societal turmoil and uncertainty. These respite services are provided free of charge. Highly reccomend.
