My experience with CMHC varies. Thankfully, most of it was positive. I been going here since 2020 or earlier. My therapist, at the time, was very helpful but eventually quit. This led to me meeting my new therapist. Very kind, sweet, and goes up and beyond for my mental health. However, that cannot be said about my previous psychiatrist. She kept on booking up her appointments to the point she could barely see me or anyone, leaving voicemails doesn't do anything, and I even went to the hospital after I told her I needed different medicine and she "couldn't be seen" despite it being an emergency. Don't get me wrong, my psychiatrist was intelligent, but incredibly and sadly unavailable. I believe she has quit working there or has very limited patients now. When trying to find ANOTHER psychiatrist from CMHC, they were all booked up constantly. So I just found an online psychiatrist and went from there. TLDR: I'm glad I got the help I needed and still do, but I understand everyone's bad experiences here too. It does not surprise me. However, I would give this place a chance if it meant my mental health was on the line.

I went through Prospect House as a client in 2012, and it was the first place where I was able to begin connecting the dots about what was going on inside of me. That experience became foundational — not just for my recovery, but for the direction my life ultimately took. I later built a career in behavioral health, and I often say I learned more during my time at Prospect House than in all my years of schooling. That’s not meant to diminish my education — it was valuable in its own right — but the insight and growth I gained there were unmatched. I've been a prospector for a long time, it's something special that works in this house, I don't know if it's the residence the staff the structure of the program, it's full of care and love it's spiritual and it forces you to change. I can’t say enough about CAT! The simple facts are that this place and all of the kind souls who make it operate have helped me through the darkest times of my life. With a host of resources I was not only able to work on my recovery, court services worked by my side every step of the way to resolve my legal obligations as well. Talbert House has truly helped me. The staff there are amazing, and always try their best to help us. There are staff who will spend their money and make us breakfast some mornings. Christmas, although sad, was truly fun. One of the clinical staff came in and played some games with us. Although the program can be hard, I believe it can truly help you. The program can be stressful at times, but the staff are there to try and help you. My favorite staff, Ms. Beth, always had the newest shoes on. She, along with all the staff, truly helped me. I received prompt and attentive care for a medical emergency. During my hospital stay my nurses, Anita and Josh, were great and did their best to make me comfortable. The team of doctors saw me multiple times a day, starting promptly every morning, and took the time to call and communicate daily with my wife at home. I went into the emergency room mental health center at the VA in Georgia I told them the truth about what I was feeling. I had suicidal thoughts it was like I wanted to give up. The VA and the therapist have helped me focus on the present not the pass trauma like I was doing every day. Focusing on today and the present moment is important and what you give your attention too is also vital in this process. I know the VA ain’t perfect but this score goes to my team of doctors and everyone at VA Ft.Thomas. I appreciate the help. I’m still waiting for a disability rating but until then I’ll keep in touch with my team.

I was in this program in 2013 and even though it was not an immediate cure the people there gave you a wonderful start for healing. They were very caring and providing in every aspect.. Even at this late date, not cured but so much better off and grateful for having been there in that program.

This is the best Methadone clinic that I have ever been to and I highly recommend going to Covedale instead of other clients. The staff here is really great and they care about their patients and they offer a whole lot more of care than other clinics. Going to the clinic is one of the best decisions I have ever made cause, the Methadone keeps me from craving for opioids, and I have not felt any need in using opioids, but it doesn't take care of other drugs, such as benzodiazepines, stimulants,etc., only opioids,but it is up to the patient if they are willing to stay clean and sober. Drug addiction cannot be cured only treated and it's up to the patient if they really want to stay clean or not.

I've been to several northkeys I'll say here they have always been nice at front desk . My son has seen Shelby for a while now but today was told it's her last day . I'm very sad , shes always went above and beyond her job to help my boy who deals with schizophrenia/ bipolar . He doesn't care for most therapist / counselors but he really likes her . He feels safe talking to her . Since we have been going there I see a huge difference in my son . She actually listens to what his father and I have to say. She genuinely cares for her patients .. I'm not sure that we will continue going to Northkey because she was the main reason we stayed I'm also not sure why she's leaving but I hope Northkey didn't let one of the better ones go . You can't fake empathy . She's a kind soul and she'll be missed . Five stars for Shelby

Amazing place, you will be treated by a small staff that is friendly and you are treated like a person. In the short time I have been here I feel like family. Doctor and staff are all super laid back and nice and you are not labeled an addict like other places you are labeled by your name and treat same if not better than your family doctor. Please keep doing what your doing, you have helped me so much after an awful experience at st Elizabeth Journeys’; that place is a joke to mental health.
