This treatment center saved my life! The entire staff from therapists to peer support to techs were kind, helpful, and always ready to chat if things were going wrong. Stina and Michelle are some of the best most thorough therapists I've ever met and they actually truly care about everybody there. When the parenting and pregnant women program was cut Stina and the women over that program let us know immediately and jumped into action to help each woman figure out a plan. Maybe I could have quit fent without this place. The methadone is like a crutch for me. Some people need crutches to gain the ability to walk again. Addiction is my broken leg. I recommend this place for anyone trying to get on the road to recovery and just can't seem to get it. If you've been trying to get sober and can't do it alone, this might be your magic carpet ride. About 2 years ago the clinic I was attending was shutting down. So I decided to transfer to BHG Grand Bay facility. I was very concerned about if I would remain at my current level within the program because I've never transferred before. This facility was amazing and making it swift and easy, and told me I would not have to start over and could continue with where I left off at the previous clinic. I was worried about coming here due to the mixed reviews I have read and heard about this place, but am glad I came here instead of the other options.
I live an hour away, and staff is very understanding and hears me out when needed. They try and make sure everyone is treated equally and in and out as quick as possible. Hiccups do happen, but all in all it's a great place, and new positive changes are happening.
Carly the new Director is awesome, and very involved to ensure everyone is heard and knows she/they care. The nurses and pharmacist are great and Ingrid the front desk receptionist is on point. I can't speak for everyone, but as for me, my experience has been great, the staff treats me with respect and listens to any concerns, very laid back, but not to be mistaken that they are about their business and following the rules. As long as you do your part, they will do theirs to help. I would Definitely recommend this place if you are looking to start your recovery journey.
Big thanks and shout out to all the Staff at BHG Grand Bay, thanks for your dedication and all that you do to help make my life better!

This is a really good place if you are serious about wanting to recover. There is a lot of freedom In this program seeings you can leave everyday to work so I would say that this is not the best choice of program if you are coming straight off of the drugs you should pry go to a higher level of care first then here. He takes his time and genuinely seems to want to be there, helping his clients. We did 2 family sessions that really helped my husband and I improve our communication. Dr. Caudill is one of the best psychiatrists I’ve ever been treated by- his bedside manner is awesome. I learned a lot about myself in 9 weeks and became much more involved in the AA program thanks to Alchemy offering on site AA meetings weekly. The group sessions allow you to “check in”, learn a topic, and receive support if you’re needing to process something difficult. At the end of treatment you have the opportunity to share your personal story which was a big weight off my shoulders sharing where I’ve been and where I am now.
