I’m a past client of A Place of Hope. My experience was a personal, professional and personalized program. It literally brought me out of complete self-despair. For anyone who surfers from anxiety, depression, drug abuse, personal abuse, mental disorders, PTSD, suicidal remuneration, abandonment or divorce, this was me . I recommend you at least stop in and be evaluated and go through A Place of Hope’s interview process. Be prepared for an accountability, being treated with respect and challenged to look inward, with a support network to walk alongside of you, with compassion. For me personally, this helped reframe my thinking and within my 30 day program. I left with a feeling of respect for others, myself and a new understanding of self-worth. As an alumni, I recently reached out to the Center for some personal assistance with my own self-care. Within hours the staff accompanied my request, gave me a plethora of resources to assist me. Offered me a book to be sent to my home, that they said, “You may find it helpful”. They also reminded me that I have access to their weekly Zoom meetings, for peer support. I’m grateful for there support and for me it’s was this support that reminded me the Center is there still for me in a time of need. Life continues to happen and we never know when you may need to ask for help. It’s ok to ask for help. You don’t have to do it alone. I’ll close with this. The Center saved my life, and changed my life forever. I have never felt so cared for as I did here. The structure is just like it was in school— and the housing reminded me of dorms! And the housing is free, so it allows you the opportunity to start fresh. The sense of community paired with the support of the staff makes a difference. I was actually sad to leave! (Also, being 5 minutes from the ocean…so worth it haha) For those struggling with addiction (EDs, Alcohol, etc) this is the place to go.

North Point delivered an exceptional rehab experience. The culture among clients and staff provides a very therapeutic environment that made addressing my addiction easier. In addition, the food is catered and they offer activities such as 3 days a week at a CrossFit gym, yoga and breath work. Overall my experience at North Point was awesome!

Can’t say enough good things about Lakeside. Their treatment program is comprehensive and genuinely helpful, blending knowledge and education with a focus on building sober support networks and getting involved in healthy outside activities. The counselors have been great to work with and go a long way towards making people feel comfortable and welcome. Looking forward to continuing my treatment journey here.

Olalla was a life changing experience and gave me the tools I needed to get and stay sober. Kevin, my counselor, is an amazing and compassionate person who guided me through the recovery process. The Olalla staff are kind and patient and were always willing to give me the help I absolutely needed. The treatment center is located on was a hilltop forest overlooking Puget Sound, which is incredibly beautiful and the perfect environment for recovery. Walking the trail surrounding the property every morning was awesome. The food is wonderful and there is lots of it. I would recommend this treatment center to anyone who is serious about getting sober!!

I was at Ollala back in March of 2024 for a 28 days inpatient stay. It was the best decision of my life., and credit this experience and all I learned about addiction and myself for my continued sobriety today.The entire experience here at Ollala was incredible. The staff and counselors are so accepting and compassionate, they truly make you feel important. I would recommend Ollala Recovery Centers to anyone!!

I recently had the opportunity to speak at Newport Academy and share my recovery story with the residents, and it was a truly rewarding experience. Trevor, one of the program directors, was wonderful to work with and clearly passionate about helping the young women in the program. I was also impressed by how seriously the staff takes recovery and resident well-being. Before we shared our stories, the girls were asked for their consent to participate, which reflected the respect and care the team has for each resident. While I can't speak to what it's like to be a resident at Newport Academy, the environment appeared supportive and welcoming. The girls seemed comfortable, engaged, and willing to be vulnerable as my friend and I shared our experiences in recovery. Their openness, honesty, and courage left a lasting impression on me. I am rooting for each and every one of these girls. They inspire me, remind me why recovery matters, and give me a sense of purpose when sharing my story. Thank you to Trevor and the entire team for the warm welcome. I'm grateful for the opportunity and would be honored to return in the future and be of service to this amazing facility again.

I was in newport for a little over a month and it changed my life, it was hard being away from loved ones but it gave me an opportunity to focus on myself. My meds were changed and monitored so my treatment team could find the perfect fit. I went in there lost and came out a new person

My stay was a little rough in the beginning due to the pod that I was staying in due to self harming infront of me a lot of substance talk that the clients where talking about which was a little triggering due to me going there to stop substances and trying to focus on myself due to that it was a little hard and the clients wanting to start drama with me when I was there to focus on myself but once I got to talk to the main person she was very sweet and let me move to another pod immediately and my stay became completely different I was surrounded by very sweet people had a lot of support and was able to focus on myself and was happy in that pod unlike the other one and recovered easily once I got into that pod overall yes my stay was a little rough but I learned so much that I never thought I would be able to learn and probably wouldn’t hear about all the healthy coping skills there if it wasn’t for Newport some of the staff had changed my life and will never forget it just because your stay in the beginning is rough dosent mean it always will be there support team is very strong and all of the therapist are all so sweet and still wish I could talk to them

Are you happy there? Just shut out another perspective patient and maybe that will give you some relief, and ease your day. I don't like one bit the way I was completely avoided for several years, when it came to my deteriorating neck. Now, more nerve pain and instability. Is there at least any kind of moral justification the Puget sound VA health care system follows so a person can get the care they need? The Seattle VA saved my 80 year old Dad a Vietnam Vet's life! The care he received was amazing! His doctors and nurses are awesome! And his case managers and support staff helped him get everything he needed to get him home! He is doing great and we owe it to all staff at the Seattle VA!! Thank you for saving my Dad! ❤️

Waypoint helped save my life, they helped me detox and get the right meds that I needed, helped me with therapy and helped me get more treatment.

My name is Jo and i have to tell you, Hotel California gave me my life back. i was so lost in my addiction to alcohol and marijuana, i lost my self as a mother, a partner, and my own self identity. Hotel helped me rediscover me again, they helped me to build a routine and to fill the time i was using, numbing, with meetings, new connections, and purpose. I found Jo again! The staff is wonderful, I got frustrated at times, mostly when I wasn't wanting to listen or accept change. If you truly work the program, you will come back on top of your life, plus the chef makes some KILLER food! And there is ALWAYS coffee at the AA meetings! The outings are fun too, this last week they took us to the mall and i spent all of my time at the arcade, while others shopped, we just had to meet back up at the set time! If you choose hotel, and stay all the way through, the feeling of accomplishment will amaze you, and being sober freaking rocks by the way! I was afraid I would never have fun again, now i find myself enjoying life again, without substance. If you think youve hit rock bottom, or youre almost there, let Hotel save you, its worth it!

I have been going to the Kent Comprehensive treatment Center for a little over a year now. I did have a small break after only being a client for 3 months or so. But came back because I was ready to use the program for what its intended for. I've made some friends at the clinic. I credit the in person art group for helping me rediscover my love for coloring/drawing. The staff are always super friendly. And the counselors are all here for us when we need the help. If you've contemplated going to a methadone clinic, I will always recommend doing it. Cause it saved my life as well as my girlfriends. And I will always be grateful for that

Im on my second week this week and I truly love it the two girls in reception are total sweethearts and my counselor Amy i knew her 5 seconds before I knew I was in good hands I instantly felt comfortable and that I could tell her anything and I new she actually cares and isn't there just for a paycheck ! And idk why I didn't listen to people sooner about getting on the program it's working and I'm slowly but surely getting better

Staff cares about clients, they wan't you to get clean & stay clean.

I have been a patient at 6 different clinics over the last decade. The counsellor Alan Hauber is by far the best counselor I have ever met in my life. He has gone above and beyond to help my husband and I be successful in our recovery and is one of the most kind-hearted people on Earth. My husband and I both can not say enough good things about this man. He is phenomenal! ☺️ The PA-C (doctor) Lilly is awesome. The dosing nurses are all very kind and understanding (but I gotta say Charlie is my favorite 😊). Kristi at the front desk has been amazing to us as well!

I'm changing my post again because theyre are some really good people that work here that are trying to help. Thanks THS shoreline for everything you do. I would definitely recommend Alan the counselor he's great Melissa I think she's the one that runs everything she's really good and I'm not sure what her name is but the lady that works at the front desk Krista is awesome she will help you

It works if you work it. I transferred to MAT here after completing the CUPWS program at Swedish Ballard. The counselors and team here are supportive and thoughtful. A few made lasting impressions that I will forever be grateful for. Proud to say I have over 5 years of recovery, and almost 4 years off of MAT. Thank you, THS for helping me start my journey to becoming a thriving, driven, and respectable member of society.

I believe in this clinic more than i could have ever believed getting off of heroin was possible. They are such gracious, understanding, considerate, patient, and the upmost helpful people I have ever come across. This place helped save my life. The CUPWS program and the doctors associated with it are nothing short of amazing. I received the best care here and through the OB Outreach Clinic. I am now going strong, with over 5 years of recovery and a happy healthy 5 year old girl. Recovery is possible, thank you Dr. Rudolf, Dr. Walsh, and everyone who supported me on my journey along the way. Proud to say that I have changed my life, and currently in Nursing School so I can provide the compassion and care that was once so freely given to me through this program and the beginning of my recovery. It IS possible, and addicts are as much deserving as anyone else.

It’s a drug detox facility it’s not supposed to be fun. The doctors are very attentive & genuinely care about the patients. I went there last year & got on the methadone program. They were extremely helpful w setting me up at the methadone clinic closest to my home location. They get a star taken way only because you can’t leave your small room unless it’s to walk the hallways. Fresh air & some sunshine would’ve made it a perfect 5 stars but you can’t leave your room really is the only negative thing I’d say about the place. Other than that, it’s an amazing place to detox at. They will do everything in their power to make it as easy & painless as possible

I went here 6 years ago for 60 days for adderall and prescribed medication addiction and it changed my life. I did Discover Recovery first for detox / stabilization and it was amazing and then they provided transportation to PHP at Bayview and it actually worked! Bayview is honest and ethical and treats their clients like humans with rights. I was never trapped or drugged against my will I had rights and my needs and my health were listened to. I had gone to many expensive places before Bayview where I was dehumanized, traumatized, trapped, lied to, manipulated and came out worse and medically drugged up and disabled than I was when I went in, Bayview was not that! Bayview cured me! Bayview got me back to my humaness, inner strength, and the ability to learn to live life without having to be on the high amounts of prescribed meds that I powerless over (ADD meds (over 1,000 mgs adderall a day with high dose SSRI’s, and eventually moderate sleeping pills/alcohol, main issue was Vyvanse and Adderall) that had taken over my life for more than a decade. It’s not the fanciest looking place, but it is the most honest and ethical place that respects clients and will actually give the opportunity to learn how to function in the world without substances and make it so you can function after leaving treatment. It was personalized and I was listened to and actually helped and the doctors/therapist/ owner actually got to know me and cared about what happened to me. I was believed as a human, not as an addict. I was not in a mill or a number. I also detoxed for 14 days at the place in Oregon called Discover Recovery before going to PHP and that was the most comfortable, comforting, and complete feeling of gratitude and relief detox experience ever. Thank you Discover Recovery for providing such a great experience where I felt safe and like I was going to be okay for the first time in a long time. I will be forever grateful. Bayview PHP and detox at Discover Recovery were both amazing and turned my life around. I also did sober living for 6 months afterwards at Seattle Sober Living which was excellent. I needed the extra help at Discover Recovery first for stabilization and detox and then they provide transportation to Bayview which helped me learn how to do adult things like going to the gym and cooking for myself for the first time in over 10 years without being on high amounts of pharmaceuticals that I never believed I could live without. It actually worked! Thank you so much for treating me like a human being in a system that often takes advantage of addicts and mentally ill people trying to get help. The staff provided clear informed consent and listened to me and treated me with respect and dignity and I had a voice if something felt off. I was always informed and active member of my care and had the ability to speak up on my needs and was listened to and believed. I should have written this review sooner I was there in January 2020 right before COVID. I do not know if it is the same staff now but I’m guessing the values and set up is similar. I thought “I was different” from other addicts because my addiction started from a doctor but this place worked when I had lost all hope anything ever could. I also was fortunate enough to find a beautiful nice sober living place afterwards , seattle sober living, that I did for 6 months afterwards which was also amazing. I had more rights at Bayview than the big corporate places I had tried before, which were advertised as fancy but in reality were lockdown inhumane money factory facilities that made me worse. Bayview wasnt always glamorous, but it was ethical and set me up for success, it did not set me up for a revolving door recovery trap like so many places do. I had choice, information, and rights in how I was treated and medicated in my recovery, and I learned to actually function again without drugs thanks to Bayview. Going to Discover Recovery first to stabilize and Seattle Sober Living afterwards so I had gradual increase in independence was excellent

The negative reviews are mostly people that push the limits of their program and try to game the system. Yes there is hope you have to jump through when you start and precovid there were a lot more of them. Now they have streamlined the system so aslong as you are stable and showing up when your supposed to it’s as simple as spending a few minutes at a time you choose between 6am-12pm waiting to get your meds and go once or twice a month. The dosing staff and doctors are doing their best to work with getting everyone in as few times as possible while making sure you are doing what you’re supposed to be doing the only real negative is the other clients can be a lot to handle when you are trying to get clean in the beginning if they aren’t. Front desk staff and councilor turn over is roughly every two years but that’s the average in the industry so bake that in to your plan. All the way around this is the high water mark for MAT clinics in the state and your alternative is to keep suffering day to day waiting on deadbest people that don’t care about you. SIGN UP TODAY you won’t regret it.

i’ve been to a few of these clinics in my life, This is a really good one. I got off to a slow start though. Hint: *make sure the doctor is in that day, if you want to get it done fast!. and if you’re trying to get on meds the same day, get there real early. Staff is friendly, patient, Doctor is amazing, Only good to say after three months.
