This place was AWFUL. You were expected to sit and stay in one of two rooms when the other wasn't locked and watch tv all day.No stimulation.Some patients were favored and could go lay in there rooms while the rest were locked out there rooms all day until after 9. Treated like a child. Horrible place!

Saint James was very helpful getting me back to my old self. The group therapy, the social workers, psychiatrist and the physician assistantand the nurses and techs we all very kind and helpful thru out my stay. I would choose the hospital again if I ever found myself needing to get help again.

Woodlake helped me realize I was worthy and capable of living a happy joyful sober life. They were there side by side with me showing me how to use healthy tools to work out past traumas as well as laying down a healthy foundation for a new me. All I needed to do was take the suggestions and work an honest program. My life today reflects all my hard work and determination. I am forever grateful for Woodlake, as today I consider them family...Thank you so much

Great rehab

Flexible hours for IOP and really good counselors. They will help you with EVERYTHING. This is more like a family. They offer treatment plans, one on one counseling, transitional living, and more. If you are in recovery this is where you need to be at.

Dr. Monette is a great psychiatrist. I've been seeing him for about 11 years & he has helped me tremendously. He is very caring & genuinely listens. I hope he never leaves. The staff is friendly also. The counselors are a different story from my experience.

Staff are good, beds are alright but need improvement, and over all the place is fine but I think the staff deserve better pay since I saw what they have to handle there and I know how medical facilities pay their staff sometimes and the things the staff have to deal with here warrants a increase in their pay for what they deal with

Bunkie General Hospital

Brought my daughter on January 19. The nurse, radiology, and physician were great!

Bunkie General helped my family when we had a Christmas day ankle sprain emergency. The staff were helpful, prompt and thorough. The hospital also provides an excellent Heart Health Center where I can use the gym which has excellent fitness equipment, cardio machines and weights. The hours are very flexible and there are many patients including some of my friends and family who are members and work through their doctor and physical therapist after surgery for heart and health rehab. These services are essential and well managed. I highly recommend Johnathon the fitness trainer at the Hospital, he has quickly helped me achieve some of my personal health goals.

We have a family member needing help the last 4 months and has finally been put in a hospital that wants to help. Third hospital and we finally have a diagnosis (thanks to St James) and a team of professionals that are dedicated to making sure patients receive the best care possible. We can finally sleep at night knowing our loved one is where she needs to be and the staff there is working hard to give her her life back. She will never be the same but that’s a good thing, her mind was torturing her and the staff there is teaching her how to live with her disease and prescribing the medicine that will help stabilize her. St James is the best place if you have any mental health issues, the absolute best.

The lady who was so sweet and helpful her name was Brandy.

All the staff are extremely kind and took extra good care of my daughter. The lady, I think her name is Breanna, that helped me get my daughter's belongings to my truck is very sweet!

Great facility focused on youth improvement and changes!

My grandson is there and I was scared at first I didn't even know what the property looks like or anything but it's pretty much way out in the boondocks seen plenty of corn fields and it's located down a long gravel road I was like oh my God there's not even blacktop roads but we got there and it's like a couple separate buildings and my grandson was so happy he didn't act like he wanted to go home or juvie LOL the staff was very nice it's way more than I expected I had told my grandson that I would like to try to maybe donate some stuff for them to do you know games and stuff like that but he said no mamaw we have plenty of stuff to do I get to choose my chores and I chose to cut grass what she likes because his papa never lets him we're about an hour and a half for longer away from there but it's really nice as we were there they was cooking them po'boys french fries and I'm trying to think something else but he said he's eating very good there and you know they pretty much mentor them and cancel them and they don't see race the one man that works the board is you know the one that told me that and he was so kind to us he seemed like he really cared about my grandson

Had a great time can’t wait to come back I’m so ready for my son to come home

Great place to get clean and sober. Marla truly cares about anyone that comes through her door. If you take her suggestions, you can awaken to a new life. She was my counselor and I now have 9 years. Keep on keeping on.

Marla is nothing short of amazing to work with. The whole process was life changing.

First off I have been with SCLHSA for almost 2 decades now. Don't expect to see a doctor or counselor on the first visit or after the first phone. I see a doctor, Dr Brice who is amazing and reads patient files and a counselor once a month. They can be overbooked and understaffed but do try to accommodate everyone. Yes I do have telehealth visits at the clinic as doctors are spread thin. I have never had any problems except for parking, which is no longer an issue, and people coming in thinking they can get seen right then and there with no consideration of others and yell at the workers who also have to worry about their own mental health.

I used to be a caretaker and my clients were so respected and catered to. Now that I'm a patient here myself I feel so loved and cared for, myself. Beautiful staff and kind hearts

I am having the best experience here. I've found the staff to be professional, attentive and friendly. This place is on par with other facilities I've gone to.

I write this review after having a horrific experience at Oceans’s Behavioral Health in Hammond in July of 2023. (I encourage you to read my review for them before allowing your dementia family member go there!) When my dad was sent again to geriatric psych at Lakeview, I was scared we were about to experience the same thing again, especially after seeing the reviews on here! However, our experience at Lakeview was completely different. My dad spent 4 weeks at Lakeview over the Christmas holidays and beyond. I was able to visit him between 3:30 and 4:30 everyday. The facility was very clean and simply resembled a hospital setting. I was escorted to his room each day but was able to puts eyes on other patients, the group room, the nursing station, etc. while there. The doors to patient rooms were open and I never saw anything disturbing or anyone tied to a bed as one lady who left a review wondered about. I never heard any shouting or yelling by staff or patients. It simply just reminded me of a normal hospital setting. I visited my dad almost every single day during his four weeks there. In those visits, I often checked my dad’s body for marks and gauged how he felt about the staff that often dropped in to say hello when I was there. My dad seemed clean, generally content, awake and aware, chatty and friendly with the staff. Everyone who interacted with he and I were very kind. Kianti (Tay) who escorted me daily was the sweetest gentleman and my dad really enjoyed him. Overall, I was pleased with the care he received. As a caregiver to a Dementia patient with behavioral issues it’s tough to be their advocate and protect them. I would allow my dad to go back to Lakeview if the need arises. I hope this review helps someone else.

Wonderful Facility, Wonderful Staff! All private rooms. I would recommend Lakeview Behavioral Health in Covington LA to anyone who needs treatment. The Staff respected me.
