Wow, were to start. Casco Bay saved my life literally! I was at my lowest of lows when I called for info. It was the scariest calls I have ever made. The staff was so welcoming and understanding of my situation. From the day I showed up to the day I left all the staff were totally incredible. I instantly felt comfortable and truly trusted these people that I just met. I felt safer with the staff than any other person including my best friends. There hole mission was to help me and in the first time in my life I felt Like I belong and feel safe. I have never in my 56 years have ever felt peace like that and I still feel that way. They have given me not my old life back but a much better one. One that I never knew I could have. I can't say enough about the sober living provided by Casco Bay too. The house managers played a huge role in my recovery. From having coffee every morning to after dinner and going to meetings they were great. Everybody including the owners and managers are all in recovery. That being said, they are not just giving you the textbook knowledge. They lived it. They know what it's like to be in your shoes. They are proof that their program works. I did a lot of research before I committed and am verry glad to pick Casco Bay. After living in the Portland area for a while I realized how the whole community respects Casco Bay. Clients from all over and from other facilities all said Casco Bay is the best. This is coming from clients that have been to places all across the country. Not one single person said they found a better place to rehab. I'm not a salesperson or marketer. I am a real person with real issues the Casco Bay helped. I have 3 mor days of a 15-week program and I'm happier than I ever have been! I have regained my family, career, and my sole back. I have been going to HCRC in peabody almost a year. The staff is truly amazing . I worried about being judged or looked down on. Thats never the case. These people are sincerely trying to help the patients .. From Ashley and Steph at the desk , all the nurses and of course Andy ( the sheriff) amd his infectious big smile I feel good when I leave the building. Positive energy is contagious. Liberty Bay is an experience I've never had before and I have been to many rehab centers, the staff has been in the position we are in and it makes all the difference in the world, and they really care. It is a very 12-step based program which I really appreciate and so should anybody looking for a good program. The Portland location is a coed program. Two girls to a room with a good amount of space, there is a gym the females have their own day room as well as the males. We have a bean bag room with a TV a smoking area where you can have Vapes and or cigarettes as you choose. A Big cafeteria with good food! If you are looking for a good detox and comfortable detox and a great program look no further than Liberty Bay.

Got my life together here some people just don’t understand life is not a choice and it’s not guaranteed If u get opportunities in life it can be a hit or miss and they offer a lot of benefits that’s most shelters don’t have and half the kids in there don’t want anything good they just want a spoon in there mouth the whole way I for one learned my first month there how people come and go and typically spend 2 years tops if They can’t find someone to stay with here and there. Overall good service food showers clothing towels basic things any human would need.

Went to the Salvation Army right after receiving a calling from the Lord to follow Him while incarcerated. God used the Portland ARC to shepherd and led me deeper into my faith. Once a man lost in opiate, meth, and sexual immorality. I never thought I would escape this cyclical pattern of incarceration illegal activity and addiction now redeemed and a Servant Leader (mentor) at a neighboring Ministry. God desires to move in your life, you just need to desire to stop living for your own selfish desires. Matthew 16:25 "For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it." God is the divine creator not a cosmic killjoy, he gave you your innermost desires because he wants to fulfill them, you just need to stop living for them and live for Him. On our own our once good desires become over-desires and we twist the light in them because it becomes "all about me" and there is no love in that. Start living for God and you will be amazed at what he does with your life.

My mom was in for a couple of weeks for a very leaky valve and blocked arteries. The amazing care that she received there. They were all so amazing from the cans, nurses, pas, drs, surgeons, house keeping, chaplin and the volunteers. They all really took the time to really explain everything and were very thorough with everything.

I’m giving MaineHealth five stars largely because of Jordan on the Bean Unit and the incredible nursing staff. During my three-night stay for severe stomach pain, Jordan and the nurses were compassionate, attentive, and went above and beyond to keep me comfortable. When the doctors couldn’t find anything conclusive on their tests, I felt like I was being pushed toward discharge even though I was still in significant pain and didn’t feel ready to leave. The nurses, especially Jordan, listened to me, took my concerns seriously, and advocated for me when I felt like I wasn’t being heard. Jordan and the entire nursing team are the reason I’m giving this hospital five stars. Their compassion and willingness to stand up for their patients made a very difficult experience much easier.

The closest thing I had to home, was at this place where I was able to grow and learn and open up and become the person I am. The love and commitment across-the-board is beyond remarkable and friendships to this day exist. If there’s something that they couldn’t achieve or help and were aware of that, they made sure to support and assist me in finding help for myself with drs and more. They help me learn basics, and supported me to go to college and not live like I was. They worked hard on communication and Trust with everyone being held accountable themselves.
