This place is amazing. I am in disbelief that a place like this exists and that it was available to me. Coming here was the best thing I ve ever done for myself. The staff from housekeeping, maintenance, kitchen, and clinical/ medical are not just employees. They care and are passionate about you and your journey.When I got here I was broken, ashamed, exhausted. My life was falling apart and I couldn t get out of my own way. They take you apart and help you examine yourself piece by piece. They are very good at what they do.I will forever be grateful for the ways that the CoE helped me, and grateful to myself for making the very difficult decision to come here.If you have questions, please reach out.

Where do I begin? When I came through the gate, I was broken (or as I've learned -- bruised). I was immediately let out of my car and met by two of my peers who whooshed me to admissions. From that point on, all I felt was acceptance, belonging, and that I was in a judgement-free zone.In my mind, I was broken, unrepairable, and had issues that no one could fix. Boy was I wrong. Whether it was in individual sessions with Remi (My Clinician), or group therapy with Dan, Pat, Ashley, Tiffany, Alanna, Kourtney, Kimberly, and others -- I was given the tools, grace, and ability to begin to fix myself.Plus, the clinicians aren't here to just get a paycheck. They genuinely CARE about the patients, you can literally feel that in the sessions.At my clinician's suggestion, I underwent EMDR treatment and literally felt chains being removed, and childhood trauma no longer had the power that it did on me before coming here.Insofar as the facilities, the station houses are comfy, the supporting staff are incredible, and the Fire every evening is the perfect place to unwind, and listen to your peers share their journey to what led them here to the COE.I could go on and on about how magical this place is, but Google doesn't have the bandwidth for me to sing my praises. I feel like every single person in the fire service would benefit from coming here.ONWARD!

The best recovery center hands down staff and counselors genuinely care about you and your sobriety and it's a very comfortable place to be for your recovery I know a lot of people say that but I truly do mean it from the bottom of my heart thank you so much avenues for the tools you have given me for success

I had a great time at avenues I stayed 60 days and graduated it was well needed

This is a good program that helped me alot. I was able to find sober living for after my 60 days to continue my recovery. Big shout out to the counselors Brandi & Sarah.

I spent so much time talking to an amazing employee named Jade. She seemed like a therapist because she was so good at her job. She literally explained everything patiently. She literally Helped me in so many ways personally that I didn't expect. I'm excited and motivated about being a new patient at this facility. I was referred by a good.

Great group therapy and learned a lot of good applicable strategies to improve my ways of thinking.

I had a phenomenal experience at the Sandstone care alumni event. LeJeffrey Monica was a phenomenal program co-ordinator. She made some insightful remarks. She was really sweet and understanding. She, even, stayed with me while I waited for my ride to come, which I thought was really sweet and i really appreciated it. I had alot of fun doing Pearlers while chit-chatting with other alumni. Sandstone care was a a huge part of my healing journey. I was so enthusiastic to be there again. It was nice to be surrounded by peers who understand mental health struggles as well as the challenges associated with navigating the pyschiatric healthcare system and balancing mental health treatment with school and/or a job. Loved the event! Will strongly recommend! Would love to see alumnis from my time there and catch up in future events!

The experience is absolutely incredible, and excellent. I had a blast and it was very welcoming.

This was my first time in treatment. Honestly, it completely changed my life. The bonds that I ve made in this place, the sober network I ve built, getting my psych meds right, the entire staff and facilitators- have all been such an extraordinary experience for me. I never understood the difference between just being sober/clean versus actually working a program/recovery. RU has helped me to understand that recovery goes beyond clean time- and it s about changing who you are for the better and continuing to progress as a person overall. I highly recommend this place to anyone who has even the slightest desire to change their life for the better. Gold star all around! AND THANK YOU FOR CHANGING MY LIFE!

Recovery Unplugged was an amazing experience for myself who had tried treatment a bunch of other places and routes, it was truly my last stop. Wonderful staff and very engaging groups! Would recommend to any friends or family looking to get clean or follow up on their sober journey to check them out!!

Rca provides you with the tools needed to enter the world of recovery. I often attend the Alumni meeting on Thursdays it s awesome! RCA is now apart of my extended family!

We had an amazing time with our Alumni community at the Bowling Alley in Waldorf, so good to see recovery in action. RCA is growing in our effort to save one person at a time.

RCA saved my life! They have a wonderful inpatient and outpatient program. Such a great continual support even after discharge. The staff is amazing and facilities are good too.

We recently had an experience at Virginia Hospital that I feel compelled to share, especially given the circumstances surrounding my 91-year-old father's procedure. From the very beginning, the staff demonstrated a level of care and understanding that was truly remarkable.The process started with our ability to check him in the night before the procedure, which eased a lot of our worries. The nurses on the 6th floor, particularly Annabelle and Shoriyah, provided exceptional care on the first day. Their kindness and attentiveness made a significant difference during a stressful time.On the second day, after my father's procedure, we found ourselves in the ICU, where the nurses, doctors, and staff continued to impress us with their professionalism and compassion. Thank you to Shelby and Michael to name a few. They genuinely understood the challenges that come with my father's dementia. Unlike our experiences at Inova Fairfax and Inova Fair Oaks, where we often felt that the medical staff lacked patience and understanding, Virginia Hospital truly gets it. They recognized his agitation and combative behavior as part of his condition and treated him with the dignity and respect he deserves.It's clear that the staff at Virginia Hospital understands that the way you treat a patient is crucial. They provided not just medical care, but emotional support that made us feel relieved and reassured that our father was in good hands.I can't express enough gratitude for the exceptional care we received. Virginia Hospital has set a standard that we hope other facilities will aspire to. Thank you to everyone who played a part in my father's care!

Best service and best people working around!

I have been very happy with the care my 89 year old mother received. We had one small mishap - not serious- but did delay surgery. The hospital made it so right. I can't say enough about the entire staff of Arlington Hospital. Dr. Petersen is a very trusting surgeon. Lucky and blessed to get him. Would highly recommend this health care and hospital.

Hi.My name is gary and I would like to share my experience at hopehouse. On the 12th of January, I will have been successfully sober for 6 years. Jeff, who no longer works there was my counselor, but he was just one of many counselors that really help get you through this difficult moment in your life. If you really have made the decision you want to become sober, then hope house is your answer. Please get some help. But don't go there unless you intend to finish the program and become the person that you know you should be for your family for your friends for yourself. I love hope. I probably would not be here anymore if i had not gone there for treatment. I'd be laying byehind 711 drunk if I had not made that choice. I hope Mr. STERLING is still there. And if you tell him Gary ,who he probably doesn't remember ,but I did play the piano and told jokes a lot. So maybe he will remember me. But tell him I said hello, and God bless his soul.

I just celebrated 3 years sober thank you Hope House , I went to the Laurel location good to see this place still around. Shout out to Mr.Jim doubt he still remembers me.

Came to the site to do a tour of the facility. Met the clinical director for the tour, would have given 5 stars but the front desk area was very messy and had a strange odor. This should be addressed soon since it is the first thing you see as you enter.

Embark provides top-notch, exquisite service beginning at receptionist, the enrollee director, and entire staff. Very warm, caring and friendly staff providing great, quality and professional services to youth and families! Thank you, Embark for making a difference in the lives of our youth and families!!!

This is a greatClinic. Very clean, neat and orderly. The staff is very hospitable and welcomes you with open arms. They re easy to talk to and very friendly and make you feel like you re talking to one of your closest friend(s) that you can share anything with. I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone that has Teenagers that s going through any kind of mental issues and need someone to talk to. If there were some kind of way to give them a 10 star rating I would.

This place saved my life awesome staff

My son has been here before. He is no longer a younger man, n has been to many rehabs. He states this is the best in state of Md. The staff is respectful of the patients needs. Although I can't contact him for encouragement, his counselor makes sure he gets a chance to call home.

This place helped save my life. I was there for 30 days and received so much help. I highly recommend this place.

I stayed inpatient here back in 2018 and the people who worked here helped shape my recovery story today. I didn't realize it then because I was fresh off the street and detoxing but today I can say with much gratitude that its the people who care and work tirelessly to help the patients that make Hope House what it is.

Excellent!!!I could not have been in a better recovery treatment facility.With apprehension upon admission, that feeling left as soon as I walked in the door.The really take their time with you, and help you through every lesson.I met the most amazing staff members, who treat you with dignity, and compassion.I completed my recovery and went on to the next phase.Thanks for everything!

This place is full of love, compassion and dedication to helping patients become their best selves. The Jude House has creative outlets for the patients like open mics where they can sing, play drums, guitar and share their songs and poetry. There is always a lot of laughter and support. They are investing even more into The Jude House now offering trauma informed yoga, music and art.

The Judehouse helped me grow in many ways. I learned how to cope with triggers and stressful situations. I was also taught how to manage anger and deal with my emotions. I definitely left there a new man ready to return to society.

I have been with this program for over eight years. There are so many opportunities offered in the program now it is amazing! Patients learn tools through the comprehensive education of our core groups of drug education, relapse prevention, coping skills, dual diagnosis, life skills, mindfulness, etc. Patients also have the opportunities of learning how to use a computer, build their resumes, get tutoring for the GED, take the GED test, go to Driver's Education, take college courses and the list is building everyday. The staff is a great team of hardworking individuals that put their hearts and souls into what they do.

CFD residential gave me the strong foundation I needed to go on to complete the PHP and IOP programs at CFD Alexandria. The director, physician, therapists, nurses, and counselors cared for me like a family member would. I'm confident in my recovery going forward and that's because of CFD. This place helped me more than I would have ever imagined. They have incredible staff and an incredible treatment team. I discharged months ago and am still in strong recovery and I wouldn't have been able to do it without their support at the beginning.Update: It is over a year later and I am now fully recovered and I am a published author which I wrote some of the pieces at McLean. This place impacted me like no other and I am so happy I landed here after struggling at so many other places. They really do care here and are so compassionate,

I had to go to Medstar Washington Hospital Center because of severe pain in my arm. I was examined and referred for A MRI. both times I was respected and the competent level was high. I was even contacted by the hospital to set up other appointments that I needed after that. I like this hospital so much until I'm getting ready to see if it's a dental department that I can go to. Let's hope so.

I had a great experience at Medstar washington hospital center which was my first time going there, from the reception to the health care providers, everyone was very kind, I am very grateful for the care I received.
