I have been with this program for over eight years. There are so many opportunities offered in the program now it is amazing! Patients learn tools through the comprehensive education of our core groups of drug education, relapse prevention, coping skills, dual diagnosis, life skills, mindfulness, etc. Patients also have the opportunities of learning how to use a computer, build their resumes, get tutoring for the GED, take the GED test, go to Driver's Education, take college courses and the list is building everyday. The staff is a great team of hardworking individuals that put their hearts and souls into what they do.

I had a great experience at Avenues Prince Frederick location. The Avenues staff were very respectful, and polite. I got to do a lot of self reflection, and meditation. They really work on the mental aspect of addiction. It was very calm clean atmosphere at Avenues in which they take pride in. I honestly would recommend everyone to find their way home at Avenues Recovery.

This place saved my life. Plain and simple. I just left in late October 2025.
And just like any AA / NA meeting, rehab requires action and work. RCA might not be a Malibu Passages (which rehab isn’t suppose to be some fantasy, sleep and get massages all day land) but they helped me crack the code in how not to give up, bc I wanted to and I was tired.
But the experience I had, leaning into it and embracing it? Yeah, I got so much from this place. Family. Friends. Knowing I’m not alone. It’s huge.
So thank you RCA.
And a massive shoutout to Pastor Ken. I could not have asked for a better therapist who just knew how to help me, I can’t explain it. I absolutely love the front desk girl and the physician I have along with my counselor... My problem is that why is it that I feel before I share my concern or future ply... It's ALREADY spoken on BEFORE I speak with my physician?. I also feel like I was spoken on BEFORE I entered the room with my PHYSICIAN. I don't feel comfortable with that 💯, ESPECIALLY because it's ALLEGEDLY SUPPOSED to be CONFIDENTIAL. What happened to this??. I have been going to Savida since 12/24 and it has been such a nice journey for my recovery. The office is always clean and stocked up with snacks. Donna-Fe is so sweet and very helpful. Appointments are always very well scheduled with little to no wait time to see the providers. Art is a great counselor. He listens so well to you, I wish the sessions were longer, that's how good of a counselor he is. Kyle Jones has been my Physician and he is very sweet, a good listener and always asks how one is doing besides just prescribing medications. I have also seen Stephanie Rutherford who has been injecting my Vivitrol shots. She is also very sweet and knows her stuff. I have come a long way with Savida and it has been such a great experience this time around in my recovery. This place definetly makes you feel welcomed and accepted.

I just started going here a couple months ago. Dr. Edmonds has been thorough and very helpful to me. Dr. Jordan was very helpful as well. The administrative staff, nurses, and techs have all been polite, professional and helpful. With phone calls, on site appointments, referrals, etc. I think these folks at the Southern PG county clinic are doing a great job helping veterans. Thanks everyone!

This hospital is very nice. I recoverd from my mental health problem. They wrote my mental health problem on my discharge paper. Then doctors are very nice. The caseworker is very nice. Everybody is good people because if the patients ruminating they hold by Patience. But I have a recommendation for them about visitors word that means they have to prepare translation Robot to listen visitors talking because some visitors talk to patient bad unnecessary word that is not good for patients. One day I was in the hospital at that place my Dad was visited me. When my dad visit me he talk some word that word causes anxiety upon me. I didn't want to talk to my doctor because I want to discharge from the hospital because all my friends discharge from the hospital so not to stay that hospital for more days. In general I advice for that hospital to prepare and put recorder that can speak the whole language in the world at visitors area. when visitors come in that area they have to turn on that recorder, so they can do their job easily. Not only for that mental hospital I advice the whole mental hospital in the USA and the whole mental health hospital in the world.

I’ve been to Mount Vernon Hospital this month three times due to my irresponsible neighbor not getting a rabies vaccine for there 120 lb Cane Corso, which means I have to go thru all the rabies shots required.
I was originally registered at check in by Monica, she was lovely and very kind, knowing I was extremely nervous she made me feel good .I then had my first interaction with RN Julie she admitted me , she was calm, caring and comforted me , and she was so thorough , sincere , and cared . After being admitted I was very fortunate Dr. Ladd was my Dr. wonderful bedside manners , gentle and caring and kind and could see and feel my anxiety. The nurse assisting her with my shot was Josh what a great nurse , he spoke with me with such caring ways I was scared , he was comforting , Dr. Ladd explained all about the first shot and it would hurt but her speaking with me assured me I was in great hands , she was very gentle .
My next visits I just had to check in and the nurses could administer the following shots . My second and third visit Dajavan registered me, wow Inova you are very lucky to have such a kind and caring gentleman registering one when checking in , his smile , caring ways makes one feel better , what was better yet he recognized me each and every visited and greeted me with his big smile , also always assuring I’ll be with you shortly , I watched him interact with others , what a nice young man , your very lucky in this day and age to have him, especially since he’s the first one You see coming in the door .
The nurses that gave me the next few shots and I still have one more to go was Veronica and Megan again so caring , gentle and comforting, and very concerned in what had happened to me, every nurse I came in contact was lovely , Megan especially recognized me and ordered the shot immediately, very proactive. I thanked each one of these folks when leaving the hospital but I’d like You to know what a great team of folks you have there, I was lucky to get them all , please again let them know they made a scary situation much easier .

Our daughter was in desperate need of help. Her ED had gotten into a dangerous zone. Out patient therapy was just not enough to bridge the gap for us. We began looking for facilities and this one was semi close. Leaving your child can be very difficult and reading reviews I felt somewhat comfortable with this place.
Ilida was really easy to work with. When we arrived, she went through all of the initial paperwork with us and made sure we understood everything before signing. While there our daughter was able to gain weight and understand her relationship with her body image and understand how her eating disorder affected that. The staff was great and quickly developed relationships that were therapeutic with my daughter- helping her use her DBT skills when she would get upset. As a mom, it does your heart good to know that when your child is upset, there is someone there to comfort them when you can’t. She went in having withdrawn into herself, no longer enjoying activities she had previously enjoyed, and as previously mentioned, very sick. She discharged a healthy, happy kiddo! Enjoying activities she hadn’t enjoyed in a long time!
The only negative comments I have is that the house was in somewhat of a transition of staff upon our arrival. Our daughter was assigned a virtual therapist & virtual dietician. While both of these individuals were great, we would have much preferred in person facilitation. There were some lapses of communication a few times, but again, staff was/is in transition. When it’s brought to their attention, they are quick to rectify this.
At the end of the day, the good definitely outweighs the “bad” and if I had to do it all over again, I would send her there without hesitation. Actually at discharge, our daughter was in tears because while she wanted to come home, she was going to miss several of the staff!

Great place to be if you're homeless . Staff is great except one staff member. His name is red. He's short light skin with a bald head. He always ask the homeless for money so he can trick with the young girls. But other than that. It's a good place to be.

Walden has employees who are very dedicated & compassionate where adults in their care are concerned. Thru covid nightmares making a huge hindrance in allowing group meetings for some time, dedicated staff realized the importance of interaction with others who have walked the same nightmare. National shortage of trained help I am sure impacts their jobs, but I sincerely feel Walden's employees work there for the right reason..often saving a person's life. Their satisfaction at times when in the future seeing one of the 'flock' leading a normal, happy life when they run into them in public tells me they are there to make a viable difference. Thanks to all of Walden's angels in disguise for this!

Let's face it every program isn't gonna be 🌈 and ✨ we are there to get clean. Thts the primary purpose. So for me to complain about the food is ridiculous cuz I barely ate b4 I even went in there. And definitely disagree about them leaving u alone while you are in detox they do an assessment every 4 hrs. I couldn't get them to leave me alone all I wanted to do was sleep. But shout out to the nursing staff ⚕️ I loved all of you. My warmest hugs 🤗 to Kimmy Ms. Deb Jennifer Emma Ms. Lisa oh my my my I can't forget Toby and Kim y'all do a heck of a job cleaning us up. Renika do her thing with those dessert 🎂 and Ted those French toast, idk wht u do but keep on doing it and NeNe girl keep putting tht soul in it. Lol 🤣 I miss y'all already. In a nutshell the program gonna be what you put into it. You can have fun while getting clean or be miserable 😖 and still get clean. The choice is yours but it's not my place to blame it on a facility when I need to look at the behaviors I still carried with me. Thanks for having me. Ms. CeCe I'll be back for your I mean MY clothes 😂🥰 Oh yea by far my favorite counselor award goes to Nicole but Sheron u definitely pulled a lot out of me so u lost points for making me feel to much and crying lol. I’ve moved from PG county to Charles recently and let me just say, this is a step up. The only downside would be the lady sitting in the booth that’s in the middle of the lobby. I was literally standing there waiting for her to look up from the computer screen (she never did) until I noticed the sign of where I had to go.
The receptionist for WIC was another story. Very friendly and attentive.

Im nothing but gratful for the center for children!!! They are wonderful & so helpful w\all are needs, my granddaughter goes there & i. Have see a 75% change in the last 4 months she has been going!!! Her thearapist in absolutely a godsent to us!!! Im also learning things from them, & they will work w\your schedule!!!I highly recommend this place if your child, grandchild or even your self are in need of ccounsoling or info.
