Tranquility Woods is an exceptional rehab facility that truly cares about their clients and wants to see them succeed. The staff are very friendly and the facility is beautiful. I am not sure if I was just lucky but the group of people that were also clients at the time of my stay have become close friends of mine after treatment and many, including myself, have remained sober. I know that all the counselors were generally well liked by the clients and almost everyone says that theirs was the best. But I would have to say mine was the best (thank you, Luke). He helped open my eyes to AA and I am well on my way to 90+ meetings in 90 days and having a lot of fun doing it. That is hard to believe given that a month and a half ago I was completely against the idea of going to AA for various reasons. Those reasons have since been debunked.
I also want to add that the food is excellent. The chefs know their stuff and are happy to share their knowledge with you.

The IAFF Center of Excellence Saved my life . The Staff, BHT's, Therapist, Doctors, Cooks, and even the cleaning crew are also nice. Everyone and I mean everyone is there to help you. I tell people I had to travel all the way to Maryland to find Brotherhood. I made so many friends and about six of us comunicate with each other every day . The center gave me my smile back. It had been missing for so many years and I went from (AJ) Angry Joe to (HJ)Happy Joe. I have also quit Drinking which I never thought I could do . and I have been sober over a year. My husband suffered PTSD for many years. It was left undiagnosed and mistreated for a long period of time. It took a lot of trials and tribulations for him and the loved ones involved, especially with me being I was the closest one to him and was susceptible to his symptoms. I also started picking up his symptoms, like I was suffering from it as well. Kinda like second-hand smoking. tHe went to a couple of recovery center which did not help him at all. But when he went to the IAFF COE, it was like a switch was turned on. It took a while for the treatment to really take effect or to see any results. But he made it through. I can't begin to express the gratefulness the family has. I wish I would have found a way for him to get there sooner and start his treatment. I was following the center since the beginning. But things happen a reason. When the day came that he was ready to feel alive again, you all helped him find his life again. I am now also finally starting my healing process.

My experience there was nothing short of life-changing. The staff and clinicians gave me the tools I needed to come back home and face my problems head-on. I learned how to communicate better in my relationships and handle challenges in a healthy way. The environment was supportive, understanding, and full of people who genuinely care about your well-being.

Program is better than what people tell you. You don’t realize how could you have it until you transfer to a different program. If you looking to get clean and get your life in order and become the best version of yourself. this is the place for you. Staff are down to earth and the counselors are very helpful and the program director is a reflection of the men in treatment. He been where we are at in life and fought like hell to become a better man. But don’t with him because he will call you on your shit. Only problem I have is the food. It’s not the greatest but it’s edible lol you’ll be fine

I never knew urgent medical care could be provided with so much caring empathy, and investment in the patient's wellbeing.
The last few days I've basically lived at the VHC. My mom had a quadruple bypass. During the procedure my dad had to go to the emergency room for severe chest pains. Every step, every nurse, every doctor, were incredibly invested in the health and well-being of my parents.

I will rate Chrysalis House based on when I was there and when it was being ran by different staff and Mrs Carisaa was there. Other than that I can not speak for the program after Mrs. Carissa left. When I was there it was tough but it is what i needed. I have never been to a program that actually cared and literally internally got to me dug up some buried issues and I worked on them. Mrs. MELVINA was my counselor, she was amazing. Most of the staff had went through addiction. Mrs Denise was amazzziiinnggg i never felt uncomfortable, leaving my son with them during the day. The whole staff at that time was amazing. Yes, it was very strict, but they did it in a loving way because they did not want us to die. I know countless women
That graduated the Chrysalis House and are still clean. I have ten fifteen, close lifelong friends that I had met at Chrysalis and that are still clean to this day. I have never went to a treatment that had this much success. Like I said, I cannot speak for the new staff, but it sounds like it is still a great program.While I was there and before I left, they were building on the new addition which was beautiful.It was finished before I left but was not open yet. A woman and children's program is needed and I hope that this one is ran as good as it was when I was there.I'm sure it is. I felt so safe with my children. I'll forever be grateful for Mrs. Carissa and all the staff.

I was someone who stayed here for so time almost a year. I know you can't please everyone but they did try to. Most of the residential staff was wonderful very attentive to the clients needs. The two that I felt that went beyond their job was Simone and Melissa I felt very safe and comfortable w them and they are some of the most compassionate, caring staff I have come across I truly believe they are at their job not only for a paycheck but to help. Thank you to all the residential staff. The clinical team here is beyond amazing I am actually lost for words how much the team does. Overall a worthwhile clinic for anyone living in the core of the city. The primary physicians are excellent; I've known four of them there. Staff is a mixed bag - one called me a "snitch" when I notified the desk that a patient was screaming at a physician. It's Baltimore, right? There are always two attentive security guards. The dental office and pharmacy are both good enough. The social workers make effort. I even tried the mental health floor, which did not help me much. Overall, I do recommend Chase Brexton at Charles & Chase streets.

Would HIGHLY recommend exploring treatment options with Kolmac if you’re ready to step into your recovery. ❤️🩹 I completed the 90(ish) day IOP program attending online group sessions three times a week for three hours in addition to individual medical appts/medication management and individual treatment plan planning. I had the incredible pleasure of working with Lisa S as my group counselor. She was professional, compassionate and understanding of the needs of her group members. She maintained a healthy and safe environment for us to all lean into the process at our own pace and found ways to relate to everyone regardless of situation. My medical/medication management was also all handled via telehealth. I felt heard when discussing my apprehension to some medications and was made to feel like the process to improve my health and the decisions being made around it were collaborative. Katelyn was my individual counselor and assisted me with developing my treatment plan. She is an absolute sweetheart and though early in her career was able to provide guidance and encouragement that felt beyond her years. I am actively transitioning to their continuing care program and look forward to seeing how far I can go with such a strong team behind me. 97 days!!!

There are opportunities for veterans to get help for those dealing with addition. They also help veterans who are looking for shelter on a temporary basis.
