you have to to know what you’re getting into in order to get the most out of this program. It’s long, but I knew that going in and it was something I was personally ready for after years of struggling with addiction. The individual therapy, group therapy, psychiatry, and case work are all mediocre and unhelpful. I can see how this place would maybe help if you were born into an extremely well off family and only had extremely mild problems and didn't have a job, but for anyone working class or with a hard life it's completely pointless.

Some pictures of this establishment is fake. As a veteran that suffers from ptsd this place could not have been any worse. That I signed myself out before 30 days to leave. There was nothing that I promised.
1- No facility gym. They have to drive you lile 24 minutes away from where you stay. And the only way your going to the gym 5 times a week by asking and making a deal out of it and even that it seems like your asking for a bridge to be build.
2- the lunch they serve at the clinic esp tuesdays and wensday are greesey pepperoni and 3 pieces of greesy fried chicken so if you on a clean diet or a follower of no pork religion don’t come here.
3- if you are a self referred like myself and came on you own insurance and need Fmla or documents filled out for work this place is the worse they took almost 3 weeks for my provider to fill out her portion and at the end come to find out they don’t back track for the weekend so don’t get picked up on the weekend or drive to this place on the weekend thinking my job well be safe because they won’t back track Saturday or Sunday. After lunch is coloring and or learning how to make a bracelet the cheapest ways to quote on quote relax the patient mind. Which to me just didn’t do it because I’m not going to sit there and color for 2,3 hours a day every day. And lastly poor staff problem solving skills and they get sassy. There’s so much more I can think of but all I can say again based on my experience as a veteran that served this country I don’t recommend coming here.

Program is better than what people tell you. You don’t realize how could you have it until you transfer to a different program. If you looking to get clean and get your life in order and become the best version of yourself. this is the place for you. Staff are down to earth and the counselors are very helpful and the program director is a reflection of the men in treatment. My name is Reginald Howard I have to say that Gaudenzia help save my life. Understand at the time I was admitted I wasn't in the best space when it came to mind set. I was newly released from jail and I knew in my mind that I had to do something different and I had been court ordered to at least attend a treatment facility. I called and was greeted by a lady that I like to refer as Miss Also Brooks she skillfully navigated me through the process of admission. Additionally I met the staff began the process and was able to work with them as they began supporting me through the recovery process. After observing them I realize that they were sincere about the recovery process and I began to draw from that experience all that I could so my life could be better. Additionally their zeal for life became contagious and my desire to help others was reawaken so I took some advice especially from my counselor who had recognize that I could assist others going through the same ordeal as I. After having a conversation with Mr Guy I was put on a path to further my education and began seeking opportunities in the field. I thank Gaudenzia for opening their doors and helping me help myself.

CAM has by far been the best program I’ve been on. I was at another program (Cherryhill) for years & that place Hod change your whole energy. I would go in happy, come out in a horrible mood! There were a few good people there like Mrs. Hope & Nurse Michelle & a few good counselors, but at CAM, everyone has been amazing! From the beautiful woman at the front to the nurses & counselors, I am grateful for each one of them. I’ve been clean for 14 years & continue to be clean because of CAM.

Would HIGHLY recommend exploring treatment options with Kolmac if you’re ready to step into your recovery. ❤️🩹 I completed the 90(ish) day IOP program attending online group sessions three times a week for three hours in addition to individual medical appts/medication management and individual treatment plan planning. I had the incredible pleasure of working with Lisa S as my group counselor. She was professional, compassionate and understanding of the needs of her group members. She maintained a healthy and safe environment for us to all lean into the process at our own pace and found ways to relate to everyone regardless of situation. My medical/medication management was also all handled via telehealth. I felt heard when discussing my apprehension to some medications and was made to feel like the process to improve my health and the decisions being made around it were collaborative. Katelyn was my individual counselor and assisted me with developing my treatment plan. She is an absolute sweetheart and though early in her career was able to provide guidance and encouragement that felt beyond her years. I am actively transitioning to their continuing care program and look forward to seeing how far I can go with such a strong team behind me. 97 days!!!

I went to The Retreat at Sheppard Pratt experiencing severe depression, anxiety and OCD. I'd been to other facilities and had to wait in line for up to an hour or more for meds that were dolled out without any consideration for the patient. I also had psychiatrist's who would schedule virtually once a week. This was NOT the case at The Retreat. The staff there were awesome! Absolutely ALL of the staff there, especially the doctors and nursing staff, were extremely attentive and knowledgeable. It HONESTLY felt like they cared.
I literally cannot say enough great things about the OCD team, led by Jon Hershfield. They were tremendous! I met with Jon or one of his staff nearly every day I was there. Absolute pros! Thank you, guys!
The Retreat is a clean, friendly, attentive and professional place to go if you are experiencing mental health problems. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!

I spent 4 weeks at the Retreat at Sheppard Pratt last summer. I came in with horrible panic attacks and anxiety, especially around being in cars and transportation. When I arrived, I literally couldn’t be in a car for more than 10 minutes without the help of medication.
I was ultimately diagnosed with OCD and very very lucky to be treated by Jon Hershfield and his team including Melissa Mondich. I started exposure therapy the 2nd week. My exposures were around the triggers to my panic attacks like motion sickness. We drove in circles in the car with the music on loud, and the heat up way too high, while I read from my phone. At first I was exhausted and it was tough but it is pretty amazing how quickly this produced results and I saw myself growing stronger. I had so much support and encouragement by the staff and my peers in the program. This program was very well rounded. I also had yoga sessions with Leonora, Acupuncture with Trina, and training with Terry, all of which I miss very very much.
I went into the program being scared about driving 10 minutes away to a target and left the program and went to Greece to enjoy my regularly scheduled summer vacation and did not need any anxiety medication at all. I really can not recommend this experience enough. Also a massive thank you to Dr. Amara, my psychiatrist who oversaw my whole treatment and to the nursing staff especially Susan, Kate, and Talila!

Amatus Health as a company and organization is top notch in my experience. My personal story began at ADC(Atlanta Detox Center) where I was greeted by friendly faces and warm welcomes-I was treated like a human being and comforted through my detox. Then I went on to GATC(Georgia Addiction Treatment Center) for my next level of care-where the same warm welcome was extended.
I always felt safe and cared for. Groups helped me develop insight and awareness. The clinical staff remained vigilant and available for my recovery planning and stayed willing to help.
I am now 9 months clean and I owe a huge part of my new life to Amatus Health-ADC&GATC.

I go here, I have since December so it's been 6 months now. And while I like it here and everyone is so nice and kind. Everything moves slow. I understand they have other people and other paperwork being pushed through, I've just personally never been to a clinic that is this slow with process paperwork. Like every 30 days you're eligible for phasing up if you're doing good and everything looks good clean urines etc I've had clean Urines for almost 2 1/2 years and been here 6 months and STILL coming in twice a week. The last clinic I was at I had already gotten 2 weeks take homes by the time I was going on my 3rd month! So if paperwork could get processed faster this place would be great! So for that reason I'm only giving 4 starts!

I've been a client here for awhile....I just read some of the reviews left by former clients & employees... most if not all of the problems they listed either have been dealt with.... or did not occur in suite 201....now suite 101....I don't go there so I can't say... but wait times have improved significantly upstairs, I'm very happy with my current counselor, Ms Betty...and hope things stay this way.

Well- very good methadone program. You are assigned a counselor. You attend groups to help keep you sober. They do drug test with surprise drug test weekly monthly depending on how long you have been with the program and if your urine are clean. They understand relapses happen. My favorite part is if you give clean urines-see your counselor-go to groups-report to recalls- you do earn take homes. You start out coming to medmark 6 days a week. But you can earn take homes after a few months and only have to come in every 2 weeks or once a month. Best decision of my life.
