It feels dramatic to say Gosnold saved my life, but it helped me get started. I have been to many detoxes in the last year, and not one compared even remotely to Gosnold. My time there was efficient, I was respected and I had zero complaints. The staff were phenomenal and I couldn t have asked for a better experience. I feel so blessed to have made the trek from Boston to the cape to go to Gosnold, it made all there difference.

There is no right or wrong way to go through the 12 steps of Alcoholics Anonymous. But I can honestly say that the Brook Retreat has a revolutionary grasp on reaching the broken hearted. The level of care and accountability this program has for its clients is in-measurable from my past experiences. I had the pleasure of staying on an extra 6 months as a house manager at one of the phase down houses. Been on liquid handcuffs for 3+ years finally starting to decrease my dose, this place saved my life they re awesome and don t treat you like an addict. My only complaint is they should make it easier for take homes. I don t understand why they don t give everyone 1 weeks worth and if the patient messes up then take them off. I feel like if I git take homes right away I could have winged myself off. Because yes Dr s know a lot and a lot more than me but I know for a fact I know my body better than any doctor. Saved my life. Not your typical recovery house. Martha, the program director with her hand-picked staff identify with the residents because they know what we're going through. Most, if not more are graduates of the house themselves. They help you face addiction head on, accept it, cope with it so you can heal. There's something magical about the place and Gosnold would be wise to remember that. It's not uncommon for former graduates to request a visit to remember how Miller House helped them recover and stabilize their lives to become contributing members of society. This used to be Stepping Stone Inc House for females. It was referred to as the ivy league of halfway houses. All the staff members at WATC would recommend this house. It saved my life and many others. The graduate house used to be next door. I was here in 2015 and they were one of the best organizations around Steppingstone Inc. I am curious to know what it is now...I just know this was one of the best houses I had been to back then. This place is fabulous. If your serious about recovery then this is for you. The staff is phenomenal and caring. I had a truly awesome experience there. The food isn't the best but it fills your belly. I can't say enough good things about this place other than there needs to be more places like this. Thank you for taking care of me when I couldn't take care of myself. Eternally grateful to the staff. 10 stars from me!!!
