Really good care, got all my meds adjusted, I was in south 2 and I felt very safe. A lot of groups and the staff is amazing. [Jeff from south 2 was my biggest support he deserves praise for what hes done for me.]I learned i love to color and do sticker by number. Thank you Pembroke hospital ❤️

The team at Branches is incredible. I had no idea that programs like this existed and it has been a blessing for my family and I. I began the program as a shell and within a few weeks, Nia, Suzanne, Conrad, Allie, Jenna and the entire team provided me with the knowledge and tools to find myself again. I left the program as a more confident, self assured person. I am eternally grateful for this program and recommend that everyone participate and come into this safe and supported environment with this incredible team.

I was a patient on South 1 over the summer, and for it being one of my lowest points my experience there was amazing. The environment there is very comforting and I created friendships that I am still in close contact with. Snacks were easily accessible with great options and you could also get brought some from home. Fresh air was great there was access to direct sun and grass. inside and even just the general experience It honestly felt more like a mental health summer camp then a scary hospital environment. Every single MHA is caring and attentive, always there to talk and assist you. They also do not treat you like you crazy and come from an understanding view point. When your treatment team isnt there on weekends they ensure that its low stress and they usually do fun activities like making slime or making a mud cup. My caseworker and Nurse practitioner worked very diligently me and helped as much as they could with the situation with my parents. The unit manager Nikki was not as great; She was rude and not very friendly. One of the patients was about to get discharged and started sobbing on the floor saying she was going to (off herself) if she went home and i understand the treatment team had already filled out her discharge but they seriously couldn't have done anything to help her, me and a few other patients ended up standing up for her as we couldn't bear to see her like that all the people around her protecting her were crying aswell. They then called a code and had all the strong scary men staff come surround us. Nikki then came in and told us she needed to assess the patient to see if she was a risk she took her in a private room and told her that they were going to got to the a different room to meet with her mom to figure something out. She lied, the cops were outside waiting for the patient and she got banned from the hospital. They are very attentive here when it comes to medicating mental illness but they have almost no therapy. The only therepy we would recieve was group and it would usually just be a game or arts and crafts. This is an amazing hospital if you need a break from the outside world or if your a danger to yourself or others, or need a more laid back environment rather then a strict hospital but if your looking for genuine treatment and structure this isn't for you. My last concerning comment would be that i was in a very bad spot mentally and with my parents and i was not at all ready to go home i was smashing stuff and having a panic attack the morning i had to go home but they had to discharge me because of insurance , not sure they could do much about that but i wish they could have worked on a plan. Overall though i love this hospital and Really all the staff on S1 excluding Nikki
