They have good doctors to help you. Doctors really care a lot about their patients and they really help you out Through whatever you’re going through in life, they definitely will take care of you. I recommend them. Jimmy A 7 months ago I normally wouldn't have written a review but it was comical to read some of the reviews here and felt like I should leave a comment as well. If you spend any amount of time attending group or individual therapy at Clinton Counseling Center, you will quickly find out that this place seems to be the only and last hope for people that have hit rock bottom in life, whether it is with chronic unemployment, broken relationships, abandonment from loved ones, homelessness relying on the generosity of Macomb County funding and the staff here will go above and beyond to act like the middle person to get you the resources you need, advocate for you, communicate with probation officers or psychiatrists or aiming to connect you with a primary care physician or anything to help you through your journey to recovery. If the client makes an effort, you will find good support from the team at Clinton Counseling Center which is honestly a very bare bones operation but a very critical and needed service that isn't drawing in money like most other larger organizations are. Take advantage of this gem if you need it and don't be swayed by those that have had "bad" experiences that often was not caused nor exacerbated by anyone at the counseling center. They are genuinely empathetic and will figure out any way possible to support you in receiving the funding you need for housing, transportation, medical and psychiatric care that the government already has allocated. Clinton Counseling is under the banner of Comprehensive Youth Services that supports children, teenagers, young adults and older in providing counseling, therapy and life skills in life to thrive and overcome every challenge that they've experienced in the past! The majority of the employees there care about the residents. It's clean, they make sure your withdrawals are not too bad. When u 1st arrived you will be in detox 3 days or so then go over to the residents side for 29 days. The rooms have 2 to 3 people in it with its own shower/bath. Breakfast is 7, lunch 11, dinner 4 and a snack at 8. If you're too sick to go to the dining area they will bring it to your room. Mondays and Tuesday are your long days you're in meetings from 9am to 10pm. Group meetings are mandatory every day 9-11. Church is on Sunday and Bible Study on Wednesday. They will help u get on your feet so u can survive when u get out. Oh and the men monitors are cute too, i know one resident who has started messing around with one recently. But the majority of them are not like that. It's a spiritually grounded place where God is first. Oh and you get to keep your phone and smoke whenever you want to. Let's see what else , Oh the food is good now it wasn't when I 1st got there but we complained about it at our weekly meeting and it has improved, a lot! As far as I'm concerned it's one of the best around, but I've only been to one other Christian guidance center, i caught COVID there. I was only there for 2 weeks but they never took my vitals when I was there. And Harbor Light checks them every 4 hours when you're in detox. And once you have completed everything you will get a certificate and a coin. Oh and u have to drop weekly, Oh and they also have a medical mobile unit that comes every Thursday iu need blood work or whatever done. I love the doctor I seen (I don't remember his name, but he was really tall and he had brown hair and only comes in on Mondays) The lady at the front desk was so welcomed and nice I think her name is lila and Melissa is incredibly funny and helpful. I've been to other treatment centers but Nardin Park outclasses them all by leaps and bounds. The staff has a friendly but no nonsense attitude which I appreciate. They are professional and caring at the same time. For someone like me that is here for treatment and not a "Social Club", NPRC is the place to be!!! Well, it's 2023 and time for a life change. Thanks to NPRC I have been "clean" for over 2 years. I feel that I am ready to take the next step in my life. Time to detox out of the program. I am so ready to move on. Mondays and Tuesday are your long days you're in meetings from 9am to 10pm. Group meetings are mandatory every day 9-11. Church is on Sunday and Bible Study on Wednesday. They will help u get on your feet so u can survive when u get out. Oh and the men monitors are cute too, i know one resident who has started messing around with one recently. But the majority of them are not like that. It's a spiritually grounded place where God is first. Oh and you get to keep your phone and smoke whenever you want to. Let's see what else , Oh the food is good now it wasn't when I 1st got there but we complained about it at our weekly meeting and it has improved, a lot! As far as I'm concerned it's one of the best around, but I've only been to one other Christian guidance center, i caught COVID there. I was only there for 2 weeks but they never took my vitals when I was there. And Harbor Light checks them every 4 hours when you're in detox. And once you have completed everything you will get a certificate and a coin. Oh and u have to drop weekly, Oh and they also have a medical mobile unit that comes every Thursday iu need blood work or whatever done. It was too hard going up hill but a breeze coming back down to the bridge . Then I had to get off and push it up to the treatment center for women. I really enjoyed my time at this place. However all good times have to end and mine ended .
