I have been going to this clinic on and off for over a decade( like a decade and a half to be honest.) I of course could say some pretty Horrible Things about some of the treatment i revived there in the past. (( half my fault half their fault to be fair lol)) I Also can say that i wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for this place!! I mean. I still don't like all the staff, but you're not going to every place you go. But for what's actually available in lansing this place Deserves more credit than it gets. Yeah, it might be a little understaffed at times, And with such an influx of people going there now. Sometimes there is it pretty annoying wait to dose but really we all know things could be way worse. By no means, am I saying that it's perfect, but i am saying that if u want it to work they will do everything to support you along the way. ◇Shout out◇ to ☆nurse-nikki☆ it really meant alot to me that u brought up doin the cows and told me my next up date..... Ive really been going through it lately and it was just the right amount of kindness and support i needed to hear the other day so thank you!!please dont stop hasling me about goin up and having my stupid box!!! Anywho ...I hope if you think ur to the point of needing help to quit doin dope you give this place a try b4 giving up.

This place saved my life. If you’re ready to really get clean, this is the place to go. They won’t accept the excuses and BS and will call you out. Which is exactly what I needed. I just celebrated 9 years off my DOC. Vesna my therapist has helped me so much over the last 9 years. i truly don’t know where I would be without her help! Nurse Sheryl is awesome and I enjoy our interactions. Melissa at the front desk, is always there with a smile and soothing voice. I appreciate everyone at the clinic because I can imagine it’s a very high stress job! Thank you!

I completed 8 days at their outpatient program back in March. The psychiatrist, Doctor McFarren, was absolutely amazing and I wish I could bring her into the outside world with me. She listened to how I was feeling and didn’t resort to putting me on some hard core addictive pill right away. The program was nice as well, they had different classes you could choose from so if something didn’t apply to you, you didn’t have to attend. They also had activity classes which were really nice. Group therapy was great and it was nice to be with other people who understood what you were going through. Micah (my group leader), was absolutely amazing. I’m so thankful for them and how comfortable they made group. The only complaint I have which I put on my outtake form was that the group leader Rachel, really should not be leading classes. She might do better with 1-1 or something like that but every class I had that she led, she was not interactive and acted like it was an inconvenience to be there. I even tried to walk out of one of the classes once I realized she was the instructor. One day when Micah was out, Rachel filled our class and we had multiple new people in group and multiple of them said that they were not coming back the next day. A couple girls and I talked to them and explained Rachel was not our normal counselor and Micah was great so they should come back the next day. Thankfully they did, but when I mentioned how much I was struggling with Rachel, over half of my group agreed and said they didn’t not want to take any of her classes and that they wished they knew who the instructor was before we signed up. Maybe for the future- adding the instructors names to the list would be helpful so we can choose accordingly :) Derrick at the front desk was absolutely amazing as well!! And so is Ethan!! So thankful for most of the team there that made a difficult time in my life, seem not so difficult. I made life time friends from this program and I will forever be thankful for that.

Amazing place with people who care about you and care about your life. Dashika is amazing and I absolutely adore her. I've been going for almost 6 years. I haven't taken a pain pill or 15 at a time in the 6 years I have been here. The staff for the most part is great and I never feel looked down upon. A family member was treated here. I went and visited during visitation hours. The staff I met were very kind. He had said the same. He got help not only with present recovery but tools to help him stay sober. They also helped him with his next steps like getting into a sober living. They inspired him to one day become a sponsor himself. He enjoys most of the company he had there. I enjoyed that Monday through Friday he would get his own personal phone for twenty minutes to make calls and texts from. It allowed me to send him photos to keep him involved. When I couldn't make a visitation they tried their best to accommodate and do a brief video visit instead. All around they greatly cared for him presently and his future. They even helped with transportation to the sober living. The only negatives were that sometimes you don't always get a very good roommate and theft happens. Plus the food wasn't always great he said, but you can't please everyone all the time with every meal when you get that many people together. I would suggest having more options during meal times though, possibly a microwave and some ramen or something for those who don't like whatever is served. Overall this place really helped him grow. I can't wait to see what the rest of his future brings for him and our family.

Where do I even begin?! One of the good things is they have very late hours which is hard to find. The therapist that I saw, and I’m not being facetious in any way, has some sort of cognitive issues. Not only could the person not remember anything from the previous sessions (ok, they see many clients, I get that), I was asked the same questions over and over, 4-6 times in a single session! It happened every time. To point where, trying not to be rude, I would have to say “you’ve asked me that 3 times today”. Then told me I wasn’t bipolar when that wasn’t even in question. I was there for something else entirely! The therapist is of a certain age and it’s apparent. Very nice person though. Then I overheard another therapist gossiping about another client while they were in the office and I was in the waiting room. Talking terribly about them and how they are just after disability, and I was RIGHT THERE! If they’re doing it about others, they’re doing it to you. I didn’t get much out of the experience anyway. No tools at all. Just repeating the same thing over and over. I would look elsewhere.

Our family had a big scare this week when my 21 month old daughter had come in contact with and had possibly been bitten by a bat, I was fortunate enough to capture the bat. I contacted the Barry-Eaton health department and they were extremely helpful, I was able to deliver the bat to Gail within the hour and she personally transported the bat to the lab, she made no promises but said she would do what she could to expedite the process considering the circumstances...about 24 hours later Jen from the lab called to report that the test was negative.
