This place was amazing, Rita was my psychology nurse practitioner, and was extremely thorough, understanding, and helpful, she gave me a plan for care, and gave me back up plans if what we decided upon together for the original plan did not work out for me. I walked in slightly skeptical because of my one and only interaction with psychology before this, and left feeling so relieved, and feel excited to follow up with her, and am confident my mental health will only improve as long as I stick with our plan. Stillwater has been a great blessing to me. I first went to Stillwater to help us navigate a family issue. After the family issue was resolved I stayed and Smita Nagpal helped me learn how to compassionately navigate many of the habitual beliefs and negative habits that were my comfort zone. Helping me to not repeat the past but mindfully being able to approach the future. Stillwater has informative public information sessions and I've taken many of the Meditation Workshops run by Smita over a course of 6 weeks and they have been not only fun but provided me a real understanding of why and how to meditate, along with the practice to actually incorporate meditation into my real day to day routine. The Nurtured Heart Parenting Approach run by Bridget Young was frankly beautiful. The care Bridget puts into the class is apparent. That same care is apparent from everyone I've met at Stillwater. Can't recommend enough.

This place was a pivotal part of my recovery journey. I was here twice, once in September 2019 and once in March 2023 (which was my last time in rehab). I ve been to several different rehabs all over the state and I ll say this:Brighton isn t the nicest facility, they don t have the best food, but Brighton has THE BEST therapy, therapist, and THERE is where you get some of the most one-on-one time with your therapist. They give you real thoughtful work to do on your own and hold you accountable to change and doing the work if you say you really want it. Their IOP is Amazing and the sessions lead by Mo changed my life. Dudes awesome Anyway, never a fun experience but 100% would recommend.

I Was a patient here 5 years ago I started drinking at the age of 14 and got into other stuff at 19. I didn't know how to live life without a buffer Brighton gave me the tools to begin the recovery process I am still clean and sober after a horrible detox from barbiturates and Suboxone, I am thankful and grateful everyday that I made the decision to call and ask Brighton for help. Best experience for recovery in the state in my opinion. Food is great, plenty of activities, outside time, basketball and other enjoyable options. The classes were amazingly enjoyable and informative. The staff and cooks were always helpful , kind. They offer AA or NA meetings. If you re struggling with any substance abuse you owe it to yourself to at least check them out. Don t hesitate to start your journey to sobriety. You ll thank yourself later.

Hopefully you don t have to go to the ER on Sunday, not because it s busy but apparently they forget to staff the hospitals on Sundays. Brought my dad in around 10:45 am, they ran 3 tests and said they are going to admit him to give him the urgent treatment he needs. As I type this it s 10:30pm still waiting to be admitted this is stupid. The ER had a few other patients for most the day. Staff has been friendly and professional but watching someone sit in a bed and suffer for 12 hours knowing we are at the place that is designed to help is kind of ridiculous.Edited this the next Sunday because my father is still here:I changed it from 1 to 4 stars. Once admitted the staff at the hospital was amazing. The nurses, nurses assistants and the doctors were all amazing. Nobody was rushed and they took amazing care of him.

I ll try not to use any specific names in my review All the folks I have met here are friendly, VERY knowledgeable & welcoming. Plus, they really care about their clients. You don t get this at every recovery place. (Sadly, been to quite a few).Like all these programs, you get what you put into it. They point that out to ya.And let s face it. With the success rate of us clients staying clean, the majority of us being court ordered, in conjunction with the sad fact that a small percentage of us fail by dying, the folks that work here have a really hard job.To end on an up-beat note:- I posted pictures of the lobby because Tracy would probably yell at me in our next session if I took a picture elsewhere. They have a nice drinking fountain in the lobby, not saying I ever had to wait long er anything.- And my one complaint (so 4.9 stars) is that they don t have snow days, like we had school. We live in Michigan ya know. I complained once and got a response back from Nate. He said something to the effect of ; Recovery doesn t have snow days. He is always so wise (and witty).

I have been going to AACTC for MAT for 8 years of almost the whole time I've had the same amazing counselor Named Dr Harrison Igwe PHDI've been with him over 7 years he has worked here. We had 2 awesome Drs that left idk why. But they were great I hear our new Dr is wonderful but I normally see Amanda the PA as she is in on my day I come once every 28 days. I have remained Clean thru this tough time of moving here, personal mental issues CPTSD GAD depression and ya know normal alphabet soup you get diagnosed with. Only difference is mine is all mostly from prior to starting IV Heroin at 26. I am from deep Eastside detroit up to State Fair between Schoeneer & Gratiot. Started at French & Gratiot. Now I have battle grade CPTSD on top.of the PTSD/Trauma from childhood. It's rough. Taking a medicine to keep your disease properly controlled is NOT wrong. Wish I'd have learned that 4 yrs before I have in and tried the Detroit clinics which are a WHOLE NOTHER ANIMAL compared to AACTC. They respect you if you respect them which is all anyone.wants in life. Please come join us and live!!!! It does work if you do the program right and not just as a back up if you're dope sick or your dudes out. Work the counseling you'll never stop til you're ready. Not for anyone or thing. I am alive because the Grace and mercy of Jesus. Also MAT therapy. A nurse named Mrs Jamie today was going over a paper list layed down by the computer and she even checked to make sure she had enough methadone I her bottle before she started and she had more than enough. All the sudden she stopped and said hold on she noticed without measuring it that two of my bottles were short in like two seconds. If she wasn't watching as good as that no one wouldn't have believed me. I have painful multiple Sclerosis and she is really good. This place saves our family in so many ways too. Mrs Terry, Mr. Ryan, the doctor she is amazing. I've never been treated so good and respectful at a clinic

I went to the farm and stayed for a little over 3 months. The treatment duration is determined by the therapists. The shortest duration I saw was 2 1/2 months. Longest I saw was 4 months but most do around 90 days. I had moments I really loved the farm, and others where I felt like I hated it. Their rules are really strict and you re there for a while. However, it did work for me. It was a long journey. I got yelled at for breaking rules, for sleeping in, and absolutely resented waking up early every morning to do work duties. Definitely cried a few times. By day 50 I was like get me the heck out of here but had months to go. But every time I got upset, I d sleep on it and always decided to stay. Now I m much better. I can wake up for an actual job early without a problem. I have more self control, more friends, more support, I try to follow the rules in real life situations, try to be a good person, and have a much more rewarding life overall. The Farm is really challenging but it does actually work if you listen to them and do what they tell you to do and don t fight it. It s hard to follow their schedule and rules every day for so long, but it just might change your life.

We really want to thank everyone at this clinic for taking care of patients and their families in the best way possible. Current times especially have been tough and you guys are doing great.On that note, we would also like to share that our most recent experience with the doctor was not the best. We noticed some impatience as if she had to leave. And sarcasm in answering our questions rather than appropriateness in making sure we have a good understanding. I grew up in Livonia on the edge of Westland and Garden City. My family has been to all the hospitals in the area for various reasons and we all choose St Marys over the others.My son came in with severe abdominal pain (appendicitis) and they got him back right away! Our daughter at 8 months pregnant was rushed to St. Mary's in Livonia (Now Trinity Health) for an emergency C-Section. I can not say enough about the staff in the Birthing Center in their ability to get her into the operating room promptly and successfully perform the C-Section giving us a beautiful 5lb baby girl. The personal touch and attention especially the after care the four days they were in the hospital was second to none. They see I am prescribed Suboxone (have been for 5 plus years) and try to take me off of my psych meds I've been on for five years or longer.yes, one is a controlled substance but ive heard so many reasons why they won't or can't continue me on my medicine that I know works because I've been told multiple times completely different stories.it took years to find the right cocktail that works for me.only by the prescribing doctors do I ever have anything to complain about.i don't usually leave reviews for anything unless it's something I love or it's a genuine problem.i know plenty of people who are prescribed incredibly unnecessary amounts of drugs, or people with the same or similar combination I am on and don't have the problem i am having. opioid crisis I get it but not everyone taking them is abusing them.is the only way I'm going to get the same meds I've always been on by going to a shrink where I have to pay? I've seen plenty of doctors who weren't psych doctors but would still give me my psych meds with my Suboxone, yes things are different now more strict, but over the last two and a half years of trying to find a shrink to get my stuff from the right doctor , I haven't had a psych prescribe my psych meds to me In almost three years. My PCP and my Suboxone doctor help me by writing them as long as I show them I am trying to get in somewhere. So if it's perfectly fine for the doctors who really shouldn't be giving benzos scripts to me (psych meds were originally started from actual psychiatrist in the beginning) why in the EFF will absolutely no one help me?!?

Recently having completed treatment at the Residential Program I can say that the staff go the extra mile to help people Recover from their addiction. I had the pleasure of recieving services from Coty, Darren and Heather and are forever greatful to have experienced their professional demeaner and the respect they bestowed upon me. I also want to acknowledge the support staff that assist them, Marie, Stephanie, Cole, Tracie, Germaine, Jamie, Carson and Tom all helped me see the wonders of living a life in recovery and I appreciate the whole month of September that I spent there learning more about myself and my addiction. For a long 5 years I have searched for treatment for my only child/adult. When the system hears drugs they do little for them. Like police don't want to bother. I wish I knew about this place years ago! What a blessing the place is for people with a mental health crisis.It is completely voluntary and honestly hard to believe things COULD have been so EASY!You have to be referred but once you are, you can agree to go and get the rest you need while your body/mind adjusts to pharmaceutical drug changes, while being monitored by a medical team.You can use the computer and desk phone and have some books available to read as well as boardgames, if you make friends while there! You are free to do as you please but there is a schedule for meals and therapeutic activities. I was only there a day or so but I got what I needed and was able to sign myself out.Please note, your phone gets locked up. However there is access to it when you need something (like a text code for website verification, or phone numbers) You CAN have your smoke/vape breaks unlike how it is at summer camp aka the looney bin.

The best recovery center your gonna get using state insurance. Food was good. Program was good. The staff was pretty good for the most part. And the doctor really cares, Atleast Michelle really cared for her patients. If your using state insurance DO NOT GO TO ANY OTHER PLACE TRUST ME YOULL REGRET IT.

I came here around 2 weeks ago because of an injury at basketball practice which was a dislocation in my finger because the urgent care couldn t do anything about it . When I came here I was treated kindly by nurses and Orthopedic surgeon which told told me his plan step by step to get my finger back in to place his team was gentle and understanding of the pain overall 10/10 I recommend . Best team , Best staff .

My mother was transfered to U of M and they ended up saving her life. I was so scared but they took care of her and years later I still have her in my life.
