Key things that set Lake Place apart from the others:
1. Fishing/Outdoors: having access to the lake with paddle boats or fish houses 6 days a week. It's a great bass/northern/crappie lake! I caught many 4-5 lbs! They buy any bait you want!
2. 90 days program generally - but you can stay longer if you need to. Some stay almost a year.
3. Woodshop. Yup.
The owner is the most kind and generous man I've met. Dennis, who is still involved to my knowledge. He eats dinner with us and hosts a group once a week.
The counselors are all great. They are a lot of fun and very helpful.
If you like camp fires, s'mores, frisbee golf, hiking, or the woodshop this is the place.
My son recently had surgery at Fairview Range Medical Center and the care we received was exceptional. The staff was kind, attentive, and made us feel at ease every step of the way starting with Ms. Barb, Dr. Thomas and each Nurse (Ashley, Carol, Jamie & Brean) & staff member were professional, compassionate, and truly went above and beyond. We are so grateful for the amazing experience during a stressful time. Highly recommended! Thank you!!!

I intended a home birth for the second time but at 38 weeks ended up seeking out care through the OBGYN department. My experience in the past was so damaged from a prior hospital birth (not at this place) I was very fearful of having one again. After explaining the situation that brought me back to the hospital I was immediately given an appointment with Dr. Meyer. He was so attentive and patient to answer all of my questions and accommodate my birth plan. I was given a very thorough tour of the labor and delivery unit and able to meet the nurses. They are all so fantastic! The really make you feel seen and heard and respected. We had a few false alarms before active labor started but each time I felt safe and reassured. It worked out that the day I delivered the on call dr was filling in, Dr Lyerly. This was the best thing I didn't know I needed! She was absolutely amazing. She followed my birth plan to a T, there was so much respect, and informed consent and patience to me the birth I envisioned. If I have the option to have her present for delivery again I would immediately in a heartbeat. I also wanted to mention that l&d nurse Taylor was a God send. She went above and beyond any expectation I could have ever had. The labor and delivery floor pediatrician Dr. Buenger was also so respectful of my choices or declines and truly all these amazing women on this unit restored my faith in hospital birth and I fully intend to take this route the next time and not even go down the homebirth route again. If you're contemplating where to have a baby forget Grand Itasca, they are no where comparable. This is where you will feel heard empowered and seen in your most vulnerable time. Great job! And thank you again!

Suffering from intense pain, blood in urine, Fearing my kidneys might be shutting down as a side affect of a med I'd taken earlier that week, I called an ambulance. They were wonderful - I had severe vomiting during the ride -they stepped it up. The hospital staff surrounded me, and care was immediate and thorough. During the next 3 hours they were pleasant, friendly, supportive and attentive, answering all of my questions and being reassuring. I felt safe, and should another emergency happen to me (live alone senior citizen) I'm so glad we have a local area hospital of such high caliber. Thank you all. :) <3
I really liked North home really fun but it does not help with getting better at all,all they teach is the same stuff everyday,the staff lied alot on the reports as well

I've had a great experience with all the staff that I have had the privilege to meet and speak with. There is Always a friendly face at the front desk. I am extremely grateful for all the help I have received from all of the staff here i owe you all a great deal of gratitude. Thank you all so very much.
Five stars in cold empty environment. The staff still introduce themselves as if I’m a stranger and it’s my first visit. I transferred my excellent care at the St. Cloud VA to this pretty VA that cost a lot of money money but the care behind the walls is impersonal, unconcerned, and blown off. They don’t take me seriously and if I had to volunteer to drive any veteran to any other VA I would. They should be ashamed of themselves but their skill is dealing with male veterans. I have to sit in the parking lot for an hour just to walk into an appointment at this disgraceful VA.
I wonder how kind my next blood draw will be after leaving this identifying review? I don’t care I’ll leave another one if it helps them step up their game for the next veteran. Hey distaff you new title is “ Giver”. There is NO CARE there

I would like to start by saying I never leave reviews. This NEW VA Outpatient clinic is a brand new facility. I was told it opened approximately two months ago. When you walk in to the clinic you have a very large reception/sitting area with nice furniture and large screen televisions mounted on the walls. All the staff I encountered were very polite and professional. I would highly recommend using this VA facility. I have been using the MPLS VA Regional Hospital for the last fiveteen years for all my medical care. Now, unless I need to see one of my specialist doctors, I will use the Hibbing Outpatient Clinic for all my medical needs.

Man northland recovery cntr rocks! The councilers are amazing! Actually all the staff ones ive come contact with and got to know even a ittle bit; i want to thank them all especiallyThersa Hatchy,Aftin,mark, matt, john, joey boss lady who did my DA, the secretaries people/ladies in the front offices ,even detox whom I've dealt with late hours on phone..I can't say enough how greatful I am! I could have graduated weeks ago but I asked for extension.they help me in so many ways improve my life! They really care! Your not just a number I share! Don't try to fake your way you'll get caught smart people there good people! I will never forget how much theve helped me!!

Was my low intensity outpatient treatment, I liked it , good transition for me getting back into the real world
I went through there when Iris was running it there !! Don’t know if she’s sill around ?! Prob not cuz this was almost 20 years ago . But this place was the best halfway house ever ! Away from the twin cities and so serine !! People up there to were always amazing !!

Have had a few bad experiences here many many years ago but in recent times they have become my hero’s! Awesome staff! Easy to work with and it seems to me like they actually care which is very rare to find at least in my opinion.

The people here actually care about you and how your recovery is going. Always very attentive. I just think that they need to improve the way to make appointments.
Range Treatment Center is definitely the place to go to on the Iron Range for inpatient treatment! I am even extremely impressed with how well they immediately accommodated my food allergies! Being able to eat properly definitely makes a difference in how much someone recovers after addiction! The staff here is amazing & the facility being nonprofit makes it obvious to how they do everything that they can to help each & every person who comes in! Being a smaller facility it's easier for them to be more focused on each person's plan for successful rehabilitation! I am very pleased with this place & absolutely recommend it to anyone that is in need of this kind of assistance to help make life better for themselves! I originally went to another place but ended up transferring to Range. THANK YOU VERY MUCH TO THE STAFF & COUNSELORS HERE! I APPRECIATE EVERYTHING! I definitely look forward to continuing with outpatient programming & the future I have ahead of me because of your time & effort!

Wonderful therapists! Some people have problems but once you get in, your set!
I was cutting tree limb at about 12' on a ladder. the limb was another 12-14' above head I was using a pole saw. the limb approximately 30 ' long and 10" in diameter broke off perfectly as far as placement away from the house it was over and between the vehicles parked adjacent. I failed to see the possibility that none of its branches would break. they did not. so it never settled out to the ground. the end went straight down like it folded in half. and then the placement of the cut above me, up and to the right. fell directly the angle I had positioned myself on the ladder. I didn't notice it as I was watching the end fall. I moved last second when I realized it was upon me. about took my ear off. knocked me unconscious and freefall off the ladder. the force found me landing right arm initiating contact and then side of my head . as I was rotating like a cartwheel. I was found 15 -20 ' from the ladder which was secured and tied off. I landed on the cement sidewalk. I was unconscious for up to 20minutes. I don't recall anything until after the ambulance ride and at my towns local hospital. awesome job by first responders, the couple that found me and called it in. and Wheaton Minnesota hospital. my surgeon at Sanford is a wizard! the wrist was so dislocated and shattered the X-rays look like a mouth with most teeth gone and no recognizable lips or structural consistency resembling a mouth. just had my 2nd surgery to remove plate and pins and I honestly am working and am confident I can return to the oilfield anytime. and I am supposed to have 3 plus months of physical therapy. and the injury has a year long healing timetable. this was July 5.. I had a little bleeding on my brain and was checked by a neurologist to get approved before surgery. I check in on line show up early and am often done within 10 minutes of my scheduled start time. every single person I encounter there is awesome. efficient, professional and helpful. I have had a significant amount of injuries and they have never been this hassle free. so thankful! very impressed. shout out the unbelievably talented Dr. Erpleding!

I am grateful for CMS and it's employees. The ladies their are down to earth and straight forward. This is the first place I've been that I haven't felt judge or treated differently.
