I went in for an outpatient procedure and it couldn't have been a more pleasant experience. From Surgeon Dr. Duininck, Anesthesiologist Dr. McGlinch, Radiogist Dr. Kroll, SDS Nurse Paige, OR Nurse Dylan, and Ultrasound Tech Katie, I was treated with respect. Everone excelled in showing care, compassion and concern about my well-being. I have had many surgical procedures, and this was the first time that the anesthesiologist visited with me before AND after the procedure. I wouldn't hesitate to have another surgical procedure at St. Joseph's.

This place changed my life! Without Karen Hutchins and Threase Meyer, I wouldn't be where I am today. I came in broken and left with a huge amount of healing in my life. Broke the downward spiral I was in, the unit I was in was probably the best part. All of us giving each other hope, it was a very nice way to grow. I can't say enough good things about Transformation House. My experience here was a night and day difference from my previous treatment center. My counselor was incredible – so empathetic and understanding, which made it easier to be honest and work through things. The entire staff genuinely cares about your well-being. It's clear they're not just going through the motions.
What I appreciated most was that they focused on helping me find the right path forward, even after I left. The outpatient program they connected me with was fantastic. Today, I'm proud to say I've graduated, I'm in college, I have a job, and most importantly, I have my kids back in my life.
My advice to anyone going to Transformation House is to be honest with yourself and your counselor, and truly commit to the process. Stop making excuses and put in the work – they will meet you where you are and provide the support you need. I also built some strong connections with the other women there. The staff creates a supportive environment, but ultimately, your willingness to change is key. Transformation House truly changed my life, and I'm incredibly grateful for how far I've come.

I made life-long friends, shared in many laughs and learned a lot about myself and addiction. One of the best things about Sobriety First is that they will bring clients to AA/NA events all over the state and even some outside Minnesota! Key things that set Lake Place apart from the others:
1. Fishing/Outdoors: having access to the lake with paddle boats or fish houses 6 days a week. It's a great bass/northern/crappie lake! I caught many 4-5 lbs! They buy any bait you want!
2. 90 days program generally - but you can stay longer if you need to. Some stay almost a year.
3. Woodshop. Yup.
The owner is the most kind and generous man I've met. Dennis, who is still involved to my knowledge. He eats dinner with us and hosts a group once a week.
The counselors are all great. They are a lot of fun and very helpful.
If you like camp fires, s'mores, frisbee golf, hiking, or the woodshop this is the place.

We were able to get a very clean room and beds for the night. They provide toiletries if you don't have any. There even is some breakfast items available as well. I’m a patient there now; 6/28/25-7/4/25 in room s424 for recovery from broken ribs/punctured lung. My care has been exceptional; nurses, therapists, dietician’s, etc. I was transferred in from another Centra Care location. Everyone shows concern & compassion. The food is the best hospital food I’ve ever had (7 other hospitals). I don’t leave many reviews for anything but this situation warrants it.

My son is currently on his second stay at the Adolescent treatment program. Although we aren't happy that he had to return for more help, I knew that he was returning to a safe and nurturing environment where the staff would be courteous and respectful of his needs. He has a lot of anger, and has been working it out with people who understand his mental illness and genuinely care about his recovery. I am very happy that they encourage a high level of family participation in his recovery, as we all need to make changes for things to get better. I feel completely confident that my son is getting the best care possible, and I am provided with updates whenever I ask for them. I trust this facility with my son's life, and I'm not sure that there is a higher level of respect than that. Not everything is perfect - of course - but that's because we are all human.

I went here when I was an adolescent I think when I was around 16, I’m 21 now. Growing up I didn’t go to a lot of humane treatment centers when I think back on my time here though it was awesome. The food was great I was never hungry we went on field trips and got outside often. It was so fun here it felt like summer camp but in a therapeutic way. I hope it’s the same since I went there. I was here September-December 2024 and I honestly don’t have one bad comment about the place. My counselor was Rachelle and she was genuinely the best. She truly wanted the best for all of the kids, if it wasn’t for her I don’t think I would’ve enjoyed my stay as much as I did. All of the staff were so amazing. They all put in the effort to make the kids’ lives easier & you can clearly tell that they truly care. I met some of the best people while I was there & I will continue to remember that place. This place is great saved my life. Recently they are short on nursing staff too dose you so the lines can be long and they get backed up. They are getting Alot more patients as well so that doesn't help the lines. Other then that u will earn takeouts which some places don't allow and counselors are nice and will work with you.

Amazing people that work here the nurses and other staff are always very nice making it a great place to go when you are already dealing with a stressful situation I was very unsure about coming here at all but I could not be happier that I did it has been a very pleasant experience I'd give it ten stars if I could.

Dr. Kyle Olson has been my doctor for over a decade and a half and no matter how far I have moved, I still drive to go see him. I'm so happy I found him and have stayed with him ever since. Not only is he an amazing doctor with incredible analytical skills and extensive experience who looks out for your best interest but he is also very genuine, kind, easy to talk to and get along with. He's been there for me through my highs and lows and has been my rock. He is the doctor you dream of finding which is also why he is so busy but definitely worth the wait for the best care for your health.

I like the Doctors here. I found one in 2019 that I really like but I changed DR's just to have a new handful of ailments since covid. I returned back to the original DR and I'm glad I did. He ordered up a bunch of labs and other things so we can figure out what is going on with my health.

I've been going to see Dr. Lubka for 10 years now. The first time I met him, my son had just passed and he spent over an hour with me... Unheard off now days. When I was diagnosed with advanced heart failure, he personally called me to check in with me. Every time I walk into the exam room, he takes his time to get a plan together. I literally trust my life in his hands. Never had a doctor like him, and as long as he is there, so will I. His nurses are very caring and speedy getting you prepped for you appointment.
