I ve had a very good experience with Valhalla Place in Woodbury. One time the building had water damage and I had to wait like 2-3 hours at another clinic to get dosed. But that was a freak thing.Valhalla has saved my life. I ve never had an issue there that wasn t my own doing.Been coming for like 12 years and I just do not see any of the negatives that people have listed. The staff is amazing and only wants to help in any way they can. The facility itself is well kept, very clean with a peaceful environment, comfortable and serene. This is the best place for recovery if you are an addict in the LGBT community, they help people who want to work towards a better life. i go to iop here, every single day i wake up and im looking forward to going. the staff are so friendly and make the place very welcoming. i love coming here and sharing my experiences with my peers and counselor, everyone listens and gives feedback (if wanted) and it s nice to know im not alone in my struggles. the building its self if very calming and doesn t get me overwhelmed or overstimulated. if i do get upset about something i can go to the iop program manager and talk to her in her office, where she listens to me if i don t feel comfortable sharing in a medium environment. all of the counselors understand we are going through a hard time and have our own struggles, they put their every bit of attention onto the patients and make sure if they have needs, they are met. this program accepts adolescents and adults who are struggling, i know so many people who have had success in their sobriety due to this program. i love this place and i would 1000% recommend trying it out.

My experience at Vinland was inspiring to me. It helped me with a lot of time to reflect on myself. It let me get back into practicing routine. Participating in groups and meetings. Started to eat healthier. I got back into shape by exercising. Including running again after years of not. Having the opportunity to appreciate nature again. This facility and their program is amazing and saved my life. I have been in this program 4 times I believe. This is not because the program was ineffective but because I was battling a lifetime of issues. The staff is like family to me, they genuinely care and they played a huge role in changing my life. I also participated in their aftercare programs PHP/ partial hospitalization program and the step down program from that was the AMHOP/ adult mental health outpatient program. These were also very effective and a key factor in my rehabilitation. After care is so important, although this was stressed when I was completing my treatment plan I did not take advantage of these services the first few times I completed the inpatient program. However after completing both after care programs, I understood the importance and have been able to maintain my mental health and sobriety. Most everyone dealing with addiction knows 9.8/10, we are self medicating dealing with severe underlying mental health issues. So addressing both issues at the same time was definitely what the missing piece to the puzzle. I highly recommend Mercy Hospital Unity Campus! Oh I didn’t mention the food and beds, way better than any other facility I have been to! I could go on and on about the many positive attributes, but I won’t. The staff is so warm and welcoming, you will feel right at home! I could go on and on about the many positive attributes, but I won’t. Definitely worth investing your time, you will NOT regret your decision to give it a try!

I had my first visit yesterday. The doctor was extremely thorough with the exam, asking questions about things I have long forgotten. He and the rest of the staff were very polite and patient. They even had a bit of a sense of humor. I've had some unpleasant experiences at other VA clinics/hospitals in the past so I was very pleased with them.

Been to 7 inpatients and countless outpatient treatments. And metro hope has worked for me. Faith based Christ centered. Just graduated 4 days ago. Now I'm currently a house manager and driver here. Would totally recommend this place to anyone that is willing to take the next step forward. Being obedient to Christ and last but not least listen to staff. God created authority. All authority comes from God anyone that rebels/disobeys authority is disobeying God. It's not the program that will change you it's you allowing God to transform you while you're in the program. If you're not ready to stop doing what isn't working you won't be ready to start doing what is working. Be blessed
