The nutritionist there is HORRIBLE. I personally am lactose intolerant and when I was admitted my liver was bad, so I needed a diet tailored to helping me recover. She told me if I can’t find anything to just eat from the salad bar. I stood my ground and she let the kitchen staff know I was lactose intolerant and couldn’t eat fried stuff but that is ridiculous I should not have to argue with her. Then my roommate had ARFID so she needed dietary help, and the nutritionist told her to eat bread. That’s a sad and pathetic excuse for a nutritionist. Staffs great but they should certainly fire her.

With any institution trying to implement a broad program for individuals, there are bound to be issues. With that being said, my time at HBF Plymouth was invaluable. I especially want to mention Mary the psychologist & counselors Sara and Cozi on the Pioneer Unit. Advocacy is a huge part of individual recovery, and I was especially encouraged by these three to ask for what I need when I need it. It works if you work it!

I went here back in 2023 I believe in the beginning of July. I delayed my go and staff was saying you’ll wish you went sooner I did! I loved it this place has been a huge part of my sobriety I wish I could’ve stayed longer than a month! Which they will allow you to stay longer! They do help you find scholarships so you can get in! Do no hesitate just call! I still struggle with addiction but I have slowed down a lot because of this place! They do offer help after just call and make the change here!

So far my experience with Anne Marie has been TERRIBLE!!!! Early in recovery dealing with disconnection notices and getting back into the work force relying on public transportation in rural Minnesota and trying to find housing is NOT EASY and neither it is an excuse, but I am not sure how she can be kicked out of group after 1 group absence and individual. It is frustrating to work with a provider who calls their clients names during sessions and communicates in a condescending manner. Is this place not trauma informed? I’m so confused as to how I was discharged without being able to speak for myself or to Anne Marie’s supervisor. UPDATE: Club recovery was ready to listen to my concerns and was quick to offer an efficient solution. I am highly satisfied with the care that I've received at Club Recovery, but amazed at their proficient customer service.

I've gone to inpatient in Shakopee and outpatient with lodging in Chaska. Both locations the staff is great. Counselors, techs, peer recovery specialists, medical staff, even kitchen staff. All of them truly care about our recovery, and will do everything they can for you. Northstar also has sober housing if you need it after treatment.

My journey in recovery began just over 10 yrs ago. When I went to my first treatment center, I wasn't even old enough to legally drink. I have been to 4x different rehabs on 6x occasions. I have both years long periods of sobriety and of relapse. Vinland is the most complete program I have ever been able to experience. It is exactly what I needed. I do believe that one's environment can influence their experience, eg the qualities of a treatment facility; it's staff, programming, and faculty etc, but perhaps more important of a factor when it comes to success is the attitude one brings into that environment. Vinland provided me with what I needed to heal. In my daily groups, I was exposed to a variety of treatment models/lenses: cbt, dbt, AA, NA, fitness, nutrition, literary analysis and sports psych., faith, science, games, discussion, etc and even riddles (s/o Angie 2.) Ie various philosophies both modern and ancient. This team goes out of their way to support your unique needs whether you are ready to believe in yourself or not. I have found that those willing to recover and change often do so more than those who do not believe change to be worthwhile, ie the only thing in your way is you, and even then they have your back... so imo it is clinically foolish to suggest otherwise in most instances. Each of my 52 days, I was met with various individuals willing to go out of their way to make sure I felt seen and cared for, which necessarily included being held accountable and challenged. No environment or attitude is perfect. Improvement can always be made. I do however believe it is ridiculous to portray Vinland as an obstacle to recovery. I think those people who blame Vinland for their negative experience are confusing it with what is likely more of an internal shortcoming, ie most if not all claims of neglect, indifference, incompetence etc average out as irrational. I found nearly all staff at Vinland to be exceptionally caring and competent. I was also blessed to be surrounded by incredible peers. I found strength here and I will forever be grateful for these connections. Thank you in particular to Molly, Murph (Human), Lauren, Hannah, Austin, Janina, Jeff, Allana, Elle, Kayla, Mary, Sherri, Erin, Mick, Connie, Amanda & even Bernie's unruly ass too, B.D. I used for 20 some yrs i went to the dr and they told my mom straight out i was going to end up dieing from my addiction i went to a 12 step program in st cloud 12 times somehow by the grace of god we found vinland i would of lost my family if it wasn't for vinland ive been sober over 17 yrs now even now I still call the overnight staff till this day i dont get to talk to them very often but they do there checks and they might not be in the office this place is great

I’ve been going to the Shakopee VA for over three years, and it has consistently been the best medical care I’ve received anywhere. From the moment you walk in, the front desk staff are kind, helpful, and quick to respond. They make you feel welcome and supported right away. The psychologists and physical therapists here are also excellent. They do their best to schedule appointments quickly, they listen, and they work with you to address your needs in a real and meaningful way. Most of all, I want to recognize Dr. Reddy. She provides care at a personal level that’s hard to find. She makes sure medications, scans, and bloodwork are handled promptly, and she responds to messages and appointment requests almost immediately. I was run off the road had women and men in my life nowhere to go and they gave me a place to stay. In a little bit of a future going forward but I just didn't know where to go bewildered because no matter what I do I was dead but at least there I get a little chance of a little life that was full to some extent I should have grabbed them more but it didn't know what to do thanks for being there

The Pride Institute is a place of miracles. The healing and recovery that takes place here is life-changing. I cannot speak highly enough, of the dedication of the staff. From counselors to therapists, from the tech staff to the cooks who prepare our daily meal, they are all 100% dedicated to the clients. In addition, the sense of community that is fostered here allow each individual to shine. You find yourself among peers who often have the same struggles that you have had. You truly find yourself supported, and definitely not alone. If you are serious about getting sober, and have the opportunity to get to the Pride Institute, you should definitely consider this one of your best options.

I cannot speak for myself I can only speak for my son who has "chosen" To seek help there once again. It makes a huge difference if you are sentenced to be there Or if you go there by choice!! Next to teen challenge, this is the best place to go in Minnesota. No matter where we go, it's only gonna work for us if we really "want" the help

Dr. Stacy Hockett, I want you to know that when I got COVID and my physical health was deteriorating, and I was losing weight rapidly due to the post-COVID and COVID symptoms that I still currently have, no other doctor had ever helped me or offered their hand and service while I was struggling and feeling afraid that I would continue to deteriorate and my health would spiral downward, and I felt like I had no ability to control it. All other doctors and physicians outside of Fairview, such as Allina Health, failed me. But when I made the choice to see Dr. Stacy Hockett, I had never, ever made a better choice in my life. This doctor is absolutely amazing. Not only is he patient, kind, merciful, and humanistic, but he is also very good at solving problems. He has been with me through thick and thin, and I refuse to see another provider other than him for my most concerning health needs. He’s always been prompt with getting back to me, he is lightning-fast in his responses, and he makes me feel heard, protected, and safe. I’ve never really had the pleasure of saying this to a doctor while also admiring the passion that he puts into his work, the empathy that he has for people, and the hard work that he has done for me to make me feel whole, safe, and heard. He has never dismissed me; he’s always been nice, kind, and supportive. Never has he said no to me regarding my concerns and my grievances about my health. He has always opted to solve any condition that I have vigorously, not batting an eye when it comes to serving his patients. He is a great, admirable doctor. I would advise anyone who is struggling mentally or physically, especially with COVID symptoms, to seek help from Dr. Stacy Hockett. You will never regret this decision in your life. It’s been years that I’ve been seeing him, and I will never change primary care doctors. I trust in the integrity of his work, and he has made this place a wonderful place because of his work ethic, his honesty, and his respect for privacy. I’ve been tested for COVID-19 twice at this Mayo satellite clinic, once on fall 2020 and again today, late May 2021. The clinic was indeed overwhelmed by testing demand the first time. Cars lined the public road out front and the parking lot was full. In spite of this challenge the staff was able to administer my test within 15 minutes of the scheduled time. They were pleasant and very professional. I received my test results electronically (as their publicly available documentation stated I would if the test was negative). The results took approx 24hrs although I was told to expect results in 24-48hrs. Today I arrived 10 minutes early. The parking lot was only 20% full. When I walked up to the portal to scan the posted QR code as instructed the door opened and a Mayo staffer greeted me by name and invited me in for my test. I didn’t even need to scan the code. As before, the staff member who administered the test was pleasant and efficient. Expectations for test results are still 24-48hrs although I was told that results have been coming in more quickly now that demand for testing has fallen. My recommendation if you need COVID-19 testing, is to use the Mayo App on your phone or login to your Mayo account through the web portal on your PC. Follow the instructions and you’ll be fine. Please don’t bother the staff with phone calls asking for information about your test that you will receive electronically. Don’t waste their time. They have other patients to tend to. If you’re test results are positive I am told that they will call you with that result and to discuss your treatment options. I’m very happy with this clinic location.
