After having a horrible experience at Bolivar Medical I decided to drive up the road to NSMC and had a wonderful experience. Everybody who I came across was extremely sweet and compassionate from the moment I walked in. Dr Roberts in the ER took time to hear my concerns and was actually able to give me the correct medication to help me. Will only come here from now on.

I, haven't made a complete turnaround since receiving treatment due to the complications of my illness. However, my overall experience has been a delight since the first visit. My therapist is a great listener and gives solutions on how to overcome my illness. I was a broken, hopeless and suicidal junkie before I found the courage to admit myself to the Denton House. I completely surrendered to the program and it absolutely worked. I'm someone I can be proud of. I have gotten my children and wife back, I have found happiness in life, not a needle.

When I got to Denton House, I was not ready to get sober. I was doing it because I thought I could stop drinking for a month and magically be "cured" of alcoholism. The counselors at Denton house are for the most part, people who have been addicts or alcoholics themselves and have recovered. Therefore their experience has depth and weight that you won't find a many rehabs at ten times the price. If you are ready a willing to go to any lengths to get sober, then this rehab will give you a chance to do so. Don't expect to be pampered or not have to put in the work. Denton House is clean and is full of people who have hit bottom and are willing to help. I finally got sober a year and a half after I left Denton House. I owe them a debt of gratitude for helping to plant the seed that eventually got me sober.

DW helped transformed me into where I am today..I personally had a spiritual awakening on Dec 17th , 2025. I on my own free will admitted myself with the help of my support team to DW on Jan. 10th, 2026. Many things have changed since 4 years ago. But I will say that Shelley, the RN finally got my meds at 5 days and my suboxone got lost somehow, and I was definitely taken back at how operations have changed, but the texts were pretty good. If I could, I would check 10 out of 5 stars. Defining Wellness was not the first treatment center I had attended, it was the fourth; two IOPs and a residential treatment center prior. I can't fully put into words the difference in the quality of care I received at Defining Wellness. I thought the first treatment center I went to was great and I made it a little over two weeks before I relapsed. I went to an IOP shortly after and had my first large period of sobriety and then, relapse. I made it about two weeks after my second IOP before I made the decision that I needed a higher level of care and was referred to Defining Wellness. The facility was super nice. 5 star luxury accommodations? Close, but the facility far exceeded my expectations. What made the difference and very literally saved my life was that staff. These people pour their hearts and souls into ensuring their clients are taken care of to the best of their abilities. In the 48 days I was there between detox, residential and residential PHP I never had the same class. I never experienced boredom from being told the same thing over and over again. Counselors took their personal time to speak with me if I had questions or just to talk to me to see how I was doing. The classes we had daily were well thought out and conducted by people that obviously had an intense passion about bettering the lives of others. I am days away from beating my "record" of the longest period of sobriety I've ever had and I owe every single day to the faculty of Defining Wellness. I would recommend this facility to anyone who genuinely wants to learn that they may have to live with their disease for the rest of their life, but they can live it without using ever again. I have accepted and am comfortable with the fact that I never have to drink again. Thank you to everyone at Defining Wellness for saving my life and allowing me to start the process of finding myself after 25 years of redefining my rock bottom over and over again.

Our family will be forever grateful for Stonewater. Making the decision to send our son to treatment was the hardest thing we’ve ever done, but looking back, it was also one of the best decisions we could have made. From the moment he arrived, the staff genuinely cared about him—not just his recovery, but who he was as a person. Stonewater provided the structure, accountability, compassion, and support he needed to begin rebuilding his life. Recovery isn’t easy, but the team challenged him while encouraging him every step of the way. They also reminded us that healing is a family journey. Through family therapy and support, we grew alongside our son. Watching him graduate from both Stonewater and high school was something we once weren’t sure would be possible. Today, we have hope for his future, and we know Stonewater played a tremendous role in helping him get there. My nephew recently celebrated his 3 year sobriety anniversary. I am so proud of the young man he is becoming! Stonewater was the first part of his recovery and our family will forever be grateful for the tools and support he was given during that first 90 days. With Stonewater's structured program, removing distraction relearning to slow down and enjoy his surroundings. He started thinking more clearly and was able to realize that if he wanted to live a full life, he was going to have to put in the work to stay sober. And he certainly has. My sister was extremely scared when she first dropped him off at Stonewater and kept questioning if she had made the right decision. But very quickly I noticed a change in her and she began to relax and actually smile again. She was able to attend support groups and education workshops, and even be involved in therapy sessions all while living in a different state. So, not only did Stonewater help my nephew, but it helped my sister and our entire family. If you are looking for a treatment center for your teenage son, I would highly recommend that you give Stonewater great consideration. It is a decision that you will not live to regret!

The therapist at BTR are very professional and personal. They are helping me to understand and further develop the skills I need in my recovery.
