They definitely fixed up the place , no more beeping thermostat, no more wall paper pealings, feels less dark , the doctors room is the old waiting room and less cramped , it feels much more open, they got rid of the rugs and got nice bright colors, wood floor adds to welcomeness of the walls that were re painted, and though I do not know if it is permanent I hope it is great job fixing up the place :)

Dear Compass Faculty (And my rock-on therapist Mr. Husain 🤘), As an honest review, Compass Intervention Center and their staff—excluding the bitter bunch in which a large majority of these reviews are angry towards—have done things for me I would have never realized until it came into fruition, and when I had permissible moments to act on those teachings. I entered March of 2023, and got out August of the same year, and endured 1 month of intensive outpatient— it has been a journey since then. Let me remenisce, and give what I've learned. It is important to recognize that everybody's stay is unique not only to their treatment, but also under the inevitability of group therapy sessions and cramped spacing; there is always bound to be conflict. A large number of the teenagers complaining here are indubitably indignant and likely for good reasons, but none of them touch on what they could gather from it. Compass Intervention Center in the grand scheme of it's intention is a broad system of tough love, independent garnering, and isolation. Those three conditions can have drastic effects on mental health, positive and negative, dependent on one's susceptibility to information. One of the first things Compass teaches you is schedule, and importance of the present. Although people can take their resentment with a full convicted reason to be angry, a crucial piece that they also teach is mechanical indifference. Learning not to give in to pressure, and thus that is where we learn coping mechanisms that suit our needs and are socially permissable (I still have my stress ball on my shelf, thank you Mr. Husain 🙏). As well, isolation can be subjective but also literal in an abstract sense, as we become keenly aware that all that we know is now no longer within our grasp, but we focus on what isn't in our grasp anymore rather than what is within our reach. It's always easier to leave something broken than take the time to fix it. These skill sets are crucial, and a large portion of the patients focus purely on their surroundings rather than contemplating any of the therapy set in front of them, and those that finally decide to take their therapy seriously are those that walk out anew. It isn't prison, despite how rough it got in there; nearly all of the staff tried their best to keep us safe, and what is growth without external factors to temper it, and harden the growth to ensure we don't digress? Called twice and spoke with 2 different associates. No one followed up. Unresponsive and unprofessional. Came across as elitists on the phone, but don't know for sure, since they don't follow up.

Dr Meadows is far one of the most genuine and compassionate people I’ve ever had the honor to meet. He listened to me (without judgement) and began a new treatment plan for my severe insomnia! I thank the good Lord he is part of my care team now! Will be a lifetime friend and caretaker

I can’t say enough good things about this place. My son’s father came here at one of the lowest points in his life, and the care and support he received made all the difference. The staff treated him with respect, compassion, and honesty—something he hadn’t felt in a long time. They guided him through every step and created an environment where he could finally focus on getting healthy and rebuilding his life. Today he is clean, sober, and truly present for our son, and I’m incredibly grateful. This facility gave our family hope again. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a team that genuinely cares and shows up for their patients every single day.

For anyone who truly needs help, stay far away from this place, I went here a little over a decade ago an all they did from the very moment was swindle me out of 10,000$ along with promises, there were no license medical professionals who could prescribe meds if necessary or physiotherapist who u could consult with, an once u are there they will do everything to have u pay more money for an extra 90 days than more money for their halfways houses, they will also turn u into a salesman/predator to prey on the weak in order for them to generate more wealth...financial crimes?? Lips sealed. Go to a real rehabilitation program with professionals if needed.

Synergy Treatment Rockssss!!!!!! I didn't thought I was going to be able to recover and what they did made sure of that and also of me never relapsing. They changed my bad habits for good ones and now I am better than ever.

Ms. Kissy and Dr.Chin are hands down the best in Memphis when it comes to the recovery process! They are so respectful and frankly they understand everyday life for a person in recovery. I would highly recommend them to anybody that needs help and can’t take time for a residential program. I love them both they have treated me so well in my recovery journey!!!! Ms. Kissy is always so sweet and professional! I’ve been to a few different clinics and this is the only one I have never had any issues out of!! A special thank you to Ms. kissy and Dr. Chin!!

The receptionist is always very sweet and make you feel welcome and the Dr is really good,non judgemental (which is a huge thing to me considering my past with some other doctors) The prices are also the best around!

I’m using a fake name to protect my privacy from the staff here. This mental health facility is far from ideal — unfortunately, many of us don’t have many options to begin with. Back in 2020, I was misdiagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder after only a brief 15-minute consultation with a psychiatrist. At this time I was still a minor. Before that, I’d only had a handful of sessions with a therapist who was disengaged, barely communicative and didn’t know anything about my history. Instead of conducting a thorough evaluation, the psychiatrist essentially asked me to diagnose myself based on what I thought I might have. I shared what I knew about my own symptoms, and she chose one of my guesses which was BPD. The medication I was prescribed after that rushed misdiagnosis caused far more harm than good. It worsened my mental health, damaged my physical well-being, and triggered severe side effects that left me sicker than before. Thankfully, I later received a proper evaluation at a different facility — one I now travel out of state to access because the difference in care is that significant. In my experience, this facility operates more like a casual ‘talk session’ than comprehensive mental health care, despite claiming otherwise. If you’re feeling a bit stressed or just need someone to vent to occasionally, it might serve a purpose. But if, like me, you’re living with severe PTSD, deep trauma, or other serious conditions that require real expertise and long-term support, I can’t in good conscience recommend it. Others I know have shared similar stories: former classmates and friends have confided that their time here only worsened their struggles. People deserve true support systems, compassionate and qualified professionals, and treatment that’s based on careful, individualized evaluation — not quick diagnoses and profit-driven care. Everyone seeking help deserves better than this.”

The staff takes care of you and cares for you and your health. It shows that not only do they want the money you are willing to give, but they are also here to help you with whatever they can
