We didn’t know what to do when we realized our teen needed help. It’s not an easy decision to send your child to a residential treatment program and there aren’t many to choose from. I will say that sending our teen to Stonewater has been one of the best parenting decisions we have ever made. From our first phone call to admissions and to the last day of treatment, I have nothing but good things to say about the people who work there. They really care about helping these kids get their lives back on track. Trust the process and know that your child is in a great place with awesome people. Our teen just came home and he is better than I could’ve imagined. He is happy, healthy, and sober with goals and hope for his future. Thank you for saving our child and our family.

Although my son was unable to attend Stonewater because our health insurance company refused to work with us, Bridget and Kyle went above and beyond to connect us with a facility that was “in-network”, closer to home, and will provide a comparable level of care. While I’m disappointed that my son could not attend Stonewater, I will be forever grateful for the time, energy, and care they afforded us in making sure that our son received the quality care he so desperately needs! Stonewater truly cares about the boys and families who participate in their recovery program. Dropping our son off, sight unseen, was the hardest thing to do in a dark time, but Stonewater staff supported us every step of the way and put our fears at ease. Communication was prompt, caring and informative, as we navigated residential treatment center operations. What appealed to me when making a decision was first- that it was family owned and operated by those in recovery or affected by addiction and or mental health needs, second- there are a max of 14 adolescent males at a time, third- it has a program ending duration of 90 days, fourth- it’s on 65 beautiful acres, fifth- staff were interested in my son’s specific needs and if he was a good fit, sixth- Stonewater’s emphasis on family participation is key throughout the entire process of healing and seventh- guidance for families to research and develop after care plans from the start to have a plan in place upon release. My son feels it’s one of the best facilities in the country, he’s not felt this healthy in years and says it changed his life.
