Stonewater was the first part of his recovery and our family will forever be grateful for the tools and support he was given during that first 90 days. With Stonewater's structured program, removing distraction relearning to slow down and enjoy his surroundings. He started thinking more clearly and was able to realize that if he wanted to live a full life, he was going to have to put in the work to stay sober. And he certainly has. My sister was extremely scared when she first dropped him off at Stonewater and kept questioning if she had made the right decision. But very quickly I noticed a change in her and she began to relax and actually smile again. She was able to attend support groups and education workshops, and even be involved in therapy sessions all while living in a different state. So, not only did Stonewater help my nephew, but it helped my sister and our entire family.
