You’ll benefit from a flexible, comprehensive program with care from seasoned professionals. Whether you’re stepping down from residential care
I recently finished treatment at the Aviary. It changed my life. All of the counselars truly care about every single clients and are awesome helping you in anyway they can. The nurses are super awesome and friendly. The coaches care and run their butts off helping all the clients. The admin office will work their butts off helping in anyway they can(especially hounding your hr department at work to get your insurance info when they drag their feet getting the info sent off). The kitchen staff are awesome, they work so hard fixing good food and they deliver. Love ya Miss Debbie!!!! Nothing bad to say about the Aviary. Thank you so much for helping me. Much love to you all.

As a former client I have to say Aviary was a life changing experience. The staff really cared for us and was always willing to help. I learned so much from them. Addiction is a killer. I’m so happy and grateful for my experience there. I’m still sober and living my best life in recovery. I would recommend the Aviary to anyone.

Gateway showed me the way to save my life! I'm going to talk about the app. I love it. I have had struggles with having a daily routine my whole life. This app is something I use daily. Jan 2021: This place does not care about new clients. I reached out in February because I was feeling extremely su!c!dal and had to do two intakes, after which I was informed the therapist I had been set up with was resigning and I wouldn’t be seeing them after all. I was told someone would call me. No one ever did. I finally called them and they informed me that all their therapists were booked to august. When asked, they wouldn’t even refer me to anyone. I have been having a very difficult time just holding myself together hoping I can finally see a therapist. The person on the other end of the phone had such a fake sympathy and offered zero help at all. I will do not recommend this company. If you are su!c!dal, you’ll likely end up unalive before they will help you. Update: June 2024. I have since interned here and have also been back for various mental health issues and the therapist I had this time was nice and considerate. She had a lot of health issues but she was nice. However, when I requested a change because I was concerned her health would interfere with consistent therapy, they ghosted me. Fortunately a different employee me recommended a different therapist at a different company who recently opened her own practice. I could not be happier with my new therapist. Burrell is okay in a pinch and they are good for certain things but, I don’t think I’ll be returning there for my mental health.

I entered harris house on january first this year... i didnt know what to expect when i entered. had some anxiety. i was there for 3 weeks, everyone was so compationate about my recovery i was impressed by that. i really like the fact that most all the counselors were former addicts themselves, and they knew what we were going through. ginny was my counselor and i met with her once a week. i have had alot of grief in my family. i lost 3 brothers. one at 22, the other at 37, and my other brother at 63. here at harris house, they gave me some tools to deal with my loss..i started drinking at age 18, until i got married at 30. i was sober for 14 years while married to my wife. well after we divorced i began drinking pretty much every day...well long story short, i had had enough of the damn alcohol and decided to get help. i just am so glad for harris house and how you all helped me...so thanks to you and your staff, i can get my life together sober. thank you so much and please keep helping others.. oh and by the way, the food is great as well...thank you.. signed jeff vance

N.P Miles, Kaitlyn, and Dr. Cooper have been absolutely amazing from day 1. N.P. Miles listens, plans, and makes adjustments to meds when something is feeling off or if there's a crisis going on in my life (too many to count). She thoroughly explains my care plan in a way that I can understand. You can tell that they genuinely care about the patient's well-being in this office. It's definitely a rare find these days. I don't think that I would have gotten through my "getting shot crisis," or any other "crisis," for that matter, without the care that this office has given me. I could not recommend this office more!

I’ve been struggling with dependency for decades and started seeking treatment in 1997. I had basically given up hope that I could ever be free from until I met Dr Taca. His holistic approach on health goes deeper than the substances I used and helped to identify genetic traits I carried, that once addressed with simple vitamin supplements, made me feel more balanced and clear than I've ever felt in my life. The Bridge device is a brilliant and effective tool that helped greatly with my detox . I came to trust and respect his entire team > Jaime, Rick, Jordan & Hannah all helped me in different & needed ways. Ashley was with me from the first day to the last to guide and support me. This is a special group of people and I feel so lucky to have found them. I will never forget the miracle they performed on me. I urge anyone struggling to reach out to them. If you want to get clean, they can help you get there with the least amount of fear and suffering.

My daughter, who is a dancer and revealed she had an eating disorder, tried PHP but after 7 weeks was "recommended" to residential treatment. We heard about the Victory Program from someone who saw their presentation at a conference and felt it was our best chance for her. We sent her far away from where we live so she could try this program. The team she had a McCallum place and the Victory program seemed to turn a switch in her brain that readied her for recovery. The Victory program pushed her to understand not just her relationship to dance, but also to exercise. The program helped her untangle how her feelings, anxieties, thought processes, ect. shaped/fed her disorder. I am so grateful we found this program.

When my children were in high school, I noticed the kids today “party” much more than when I was a kid. For a while, I thought their actions were those of ‘normal’ teens, having fun, blowing off steam, etc..After all, they were teens, and mine were enrolled in a tough private school. I tried to justify the pressure not to rock the boat at home. Well, it started getting out of hand; failing grades, disrespect, lies, rudeness, and no concern for each other, and certainly not for my husband or myself. We tried a few licensed therapists whom my children had snowed. An education counselor strongly recommended a wilderness program in Utah for approximately 3 months only to follow up with a therapeutic boarding school for the following year. Parents will do anything for their child, especially when you feel helpless, don’t know where to turn, and you feel them slipping away emotionally. Wilderness may be great for some, but it was a very temporary band aid for mine barely scratching the surface. The so called therapeutic boarding school was the scariest place I had ever visited. I wasn’t one bit surprised when I realized my child regressed at that school, but my intention here isn’t to bash the schools as they may help with other issues, but they don’t address addiction. I’ll get to the point…Crossroads Recovery Program.. I made the call, and it was the best decision I have ever made. As a mother, I knew it was the perfect program for my daughter, and later, my son. My husband, however, took his time doing due his diligence. A week later, our daughter was enrolled, and months after that, our son joined the group. After my initial jitters, I found myself absolutely adoring this program and all it had to offer. I have to say I was weary of my kid hanging out with former addicts, and then I thought, ‘wait, these kids are now sober, no one is forcing them to be here, and helping the new kids in turn helps them. Crossroads is based on the twelve step program. It’s a strong, solid program, for addicts and non addicts. It strengthens relationships and enriches lives, and it can be incorporated in all areas of one’s life. Let me tell you just a few things I have learned from Crossroads; it’s not a short fix-meaning you don’t just go to a 30 day program and you’re miraculously cured! It takes your teen, or twenty something child to want to change his/her life, and it takes at least a couple of years before they are ready to move on from the program…after all, they are young! They have unbelievable second-to-none support from the peers in the group, counselors and group and graduates as well. They have a blast in this program, and come to realize sobriety is much more fun than their previous lifestyles. They have learned real life lessons, and I am still amazed at how grateful, kind, caring, and honest my children are because of Crossroads. Just in the past three plus years we have been involved, several grads are now in college, working, or both, and two that I know of headed off to med school. I am very grateful to have gotten to know the participants in Crossroads; they are the sweetest, most caring, non judgmental and fun group of teens/twenties I have ever known. For the first several months I was involved with the parent meetings because I would do anything to support my children. Over time I have come to realize that those meetings are for me & for my own healing, after all, addiction is a family disease. I am continually learning from the parent education meetings. It’s an unexpected bonus that I feel that I have grown as a person as well, (always a work in progress). These counselors give their time and talents more than any other. A big part of the success of Crossroads is because the counselors have all been there, and the kids can totally relate to them. They get it, and they are totally dedicated. Is it perfect? I would have to say no but I don’t know what I would change! I do know there is no better support out there, I can’t say enough good things about Crossroads. Forever grateful.

The Crossroads program has been such a gift in our family’s life! Thank goodness for this transformative program. There was no better program for our child and family while we were dealing with substance use disorder. In order to help our child we had gone to three hospital programs, an art therapist, family therapist, several individual therapists, a month-long program all in St. Louis. Nothing made a difference that really stuck. We then tried out of state for wilderness camp and therapeutic boarding school. Our child was fine in these programs, yet once home, back to the same self-destructive behavior. Once a young adult we had no way to help or impact behavior. Then we found the Crossroads program. The peer-to-peer support makes all the difference. The counsellors are trained and licensed, yet they also have lived experience so our child couldn’t fool them, get pity, cause shock, or pretend. The counsellors and the youth in the program all can see through the tricks and still come from a place of love, support, honesty, and fun. Recovery stuck. The lessons learned still impact our child in positive ways today. My husband and I were also changed for the better. We learned to let go of anger, fear, and to detach with true love and respect that life on life’s terms is the best teacher for our child. Now our child is happily married with a child on the way. We are all very close, have fun together, and have healthy boundaries. Thank goodness for this amazing program that meets young people with substance abuse issues where they are on their terms. It creates long-term transformation that helps youth learn to thrive and parents learn healthy ways to parent with love and healthy boundaries.

I am absolutely infuriated with the sheer incompetence of this office. My SO needs her medication through this horrid place and they continue to reschedule her appointments without telling her therefore resulting in her not getting her meds. This is causing a horrible effect on her mental health and is ruining any progress she had ever made. She drives a long way to get there and even showed up one time and told her "welp your therapist is not here, we rescheduled you". This most recent time, they rescheduled her TWICE WITHOUT TELLING HER. I am amazed this place is even in existence due to the absolute lack of care they offer. My SO is just trying to do her best without her medication now and she cannot get them because of this office. It is extremely difficult to try and live normal when you don't get treated for your problems and this office is effecting my SO life negatively because they can't do their job. I'd give this place a zero if I could. If you're going to reschedule a patient, CALL THEM AND TELL THEM, AND GET THEM THEIR MEDS AT THE LEAST. This office needs to be shut down. Do better.

I had a great experience here! Almost everything was done in one day—from labs to X-rays—which saved me so much time. The doctor was excellent: professional, knowledgeable, and truly caring. The assistant was also very helpful and made the process smooth. I’m very satisfied with the service I received. Highly recommend!

The news that they are closing makes me so sad. Call for Help helped me and my 16 year old daughter during a time when we were homeless Not only did they help us they gave us resources for furniture and paid our rent for 18 months through Rapid Rehousing Our duplex was Beautiful in a nice area (I found it and they paid for it) I will never forget the generosity shown to us through the United Way via Call for Help; my daughter and I were broken It was domestic violence I found that I didn’t need a man over me and my child to make me Happy, I was Happier without him It would take the courage of walking out for me to discover it; Greatness Reached over Oppression through Wisdom Because of this organization, I was able to continue to GROW I will spend the rest of my life Paying it Forward; even if it takes every dime I have💯, Giving to others as the United Way gave to me, to Lift the World to GROW God Bless all the wonderful people who worked there and their future endeavors! When I had given Up on humanity, they showed me I was wrong, they showed me and my daughter humanity; a Place to live and recover from the trauma we had just endured; after the horrors of a horrible toxic marriage, of what was indeed pure evil I was given a new lease on life Thank you Call for Help and the United Way You put me on a Path to A Better Way; I am forever Grateful! God help us God Bless us as We GROW💫💞

I take my son to the belleville location, he sees a counselor there and sees one of the psychiatrist for his medication needs. We haven't had any issues since coming there. My son really enjoys going to see his counselor, especially on the days the weather is nice and they go walk and tall outside. The ladies at the front desk have always been nice and helpful. And since seeing his psychiatrist there has been a huge improvement with his moods and behavior at home and at school. As of right now I'm a happy mom seeing where he's at now versus a year ago.
