You’re always going to get your complainers but I can’t even begin to explain how this clinic has gone above and beyond for me in every way possible. If there is a clinic someone should go to, it’s definitely CMS. Even the hospital staff was amazed with how fast CMS took care of business. They especially loved Tiffany. Amazing group of women. They went to war for me, I hope one day I can return the favor. Gabriel McDowell 2 weeks ago I'd like to make a special shout out to the ladies Tiffani, Tanya, Lisa, Dominique and Dr Nick for their absolutely outstanding service, bed side manner and overall experience. I came in as a complicated emergency detox patient with severe underlying auto immune disease and AFIB. Am well known among the medical practitioner groups as a unique medical anomaly from the various health conditions i suffer from ontop of a severe chronic opioid dependacy. Safe to say I'm very seasoned with medical lingo, treatment plans/strategies, the struggles of new patients and many other patient woes. So, I, as the patient came overwhelmingly prepared with meticulously documented list of my systems, substances I suffer from and anything else to help the team. Tiffani was my first point of contact. What a total sweetheart and professional. Absolutely love how she gets down to business on your care without time being wasted. Being in the severe medical state I was in, my intake was very quick, smooth and within minutes was on a tele health call with Dr Nick-this is where things really took off for me. First and foremost, Dr Nick might just be one of my all time favorite practitioners out of the 40yrs+ experience with medical staff due to his impeccable listening, understanding, level of care, and the overall efforts to genuinely offer patients relief of their nightmares. Truly owe my life to this God send as he literally saved me while in the middle of a severe reaction shortly after my first ever dose. Mind you, my case is very complicated, aggressive and being unique. I've found that being forthcoming transparency in the purest way is what will save your life. It's the only method I take due to the constant hurdles and obstacles I face during treatment plans. Wholeheartedly believe, can firmly say that had I of been at any other clinic outside of CMS, my life would have been lost. Dr Nick's heroism was among a top highlight in life for me and will be something to remember for as long as I life. My genuine thanks to a fantastic person who really not only loves helping patients but enjoys medicine. This is a rare and epic experience! In closing, the staff, service facilities and overall care here are nothing short of extraordinary. This shop and the angels who show up daily truly have a gift of not only helping people but are miracle workers for those at the end of their rope. Nothing but my sincerest gratitude, appreciation and thanks to CMS for handling my uniquely difficult case. The majority of the employees there care about the residents. It's clean, they make sure your withdrawals are not too bad. When u 1st arrived you will be in detox 3 days or so then go over to the residents side for 29 days. The rooms have 2 to 3 people in it with its own shower/bath. Breakfast is 7, lunch 11, dinner 4 and a snack at 8. If you're too sick to go to the dining area they will bring it to your room. Mondays and Tuesday are your long days you're in meetings from 9am to 10pm. Group meetings are mandatory every day 9-11. Church is on Sunday and Bible Study on Wednesday. They will help u get on your feet so u can survive when u get out. Oh and the men monitors are cute too, i know one resident who has started messing around with one recently. But the majority of them are not like that. It's a spiritually grounded place where God is first. Oh and you get to keep your phone and smoke whenever you want to. Let's see what else , Oh the food is good now it wasn't when I 1st got there but we complained about it at our weekly meeting and it has improved, a lot! As far as I'm concerned it's one of the best around, but I've only been to one other Christian guidance center, i caught COVID there. I was only there for 2 weeks but they never took my vitals when I was there. And Harbor Light checks them every 4 hours when you're in detox. And once you have completed everything you will get a certificate and a coin. Oh and u have to drop weekly, Oh and they also have a medical mobile unit that comes every Thursday iu need blood work or whatever done. But I can say with total confidence that Easterseals has done an amazing job helping my daughters and myself cope and adapt in a healthy way to live successfully in todays world. I can’t imagine being a teenager now a days, and as a parent, I would do anything to help my girls get through these tough years. Colleen has done a wonderful job helping us communicate even if it’s uncomfortable for both of us. She helped save my beautiful daughter from going into a very dark place. I see some do not share the same experiences we have with Easterseals, but I’ve been in and out with my girls over the years, and between the staff, docs, and therapists, they have all done an amazing job, considering what they too, have to deal with day in and day out. At times my girls had to change therapists in the middle of treatment, but they did an alright job matching them with someone similar. And if they are ready and willing to change, and it’s explained that stuff like this happens, we got through it. It’s hard to keep constant staff on hand all the time, so I understood. I have never had any issues with any of the staff, doctors, or therapists. We’re always treated well. If you’re looking for pediatric/ adolescent care I highly recommend Dr. Greer. My own experience at Easterseals has only been since early June 2025, but I must express that they do have some wonderful staff here and they've been mostly pleasant and quite helpful in addressing my needs and concerns. My caseworker's been very positive and actually quite responsive when it comes to communication, which truly makes all the difference for me, personally. I feel she genuinely cares. My psychiatrist and therapist also have been great in similar ways. I can't say enough good things about these amazing women! Sure, front end staff seem off or a bit grumpy or just burned out sometimes, but, honestly I can't blame them - I wouldn't be able to deal with the job well myself! It'd annoy the hell out of me dealing with so many people all day. We all get tired of work at times, we're all only human ya know. (I only mentioned this because of the negatory comments I read regarding the initial staff). Lastly, their transportation guys are also awesome! I think what it all comes down to is your own personal attitude, tolerance, and the ability to have compassion and understanding from other perspectives in these type of places when it comes to staff interactions and services in general. I use the Genoa pharmacy there as well, and they've always been great. You get what you give in life or what you put into things folks. It's also good to remember we can't truly control anything outside of ourselves, only what's within us. But, I digress - to each their own. I have had a lot of case managers, and they have all been great. One case manager that stands out and goes beyond is Treazure Wright. I don't live Pontiac and the drive is very long. It was too hard going up hill but a breeze coming back down to the bridge . Then I had to get off and push it up to the treatment center for women. I really enjoyed my time at this place. However all good times have to end and mine ended .
