I came to Green Mountain simply expecting to become sober and work on my mental health. Not only did I accomplish this but I grew spiritually and emotionally, forming both lifelong friends who I consider to be some of my most trusted loved ones and a healthy relationship with my higher power. The staff at the mountain are incredibly understanding and empathetic, both sharing their stories of recovery and actively listening to and helping with my own story of recovery. I am without a doubt a better person because of the twelve steps and Green Mountain, and am so thankful for the tools given to me and the time invested in my sobriety. Every single twelve step coordinator has a special place in my heart, each for a different reason. This is because they truly care about me as a person and my sobriety. Great not for profit company thats 100% volunteer based company. They do a lot of great thing's in the community and for the community of York County. One of the amazing thing's they do is offer a Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Center free of charge to York County residents. They also offer a Men and Woman's Shelter in Alfred, ME. I cannot say enough good things about this place. They do an amazing job and I really hope they keep up the amazing job they do, do because they are truly the very BEST at all they do for the community and the people in York County. I'm happy to say I was once part of some of the things York County Shelter Program's do. They have forever changed my life for the very best and thats exactly what they aim to do is to better people and their lives. :)

I'm 40 years old..before crooked river I had no interest in getting clean..the last time before this when I was clean I was in the US army, 2004 was the year I finished,8 years then life hit me hard..that lasted bout 15 years of drug and mental abuse..so if it can work for me, it can work for anyone who wants to be clean .you have to want to.

This place quite literally saved my life. I struggled for many years with substance abuse. I tried for several years to get clean on my own but was never successful. I have nothing but great things to say about the Plymouth House if you are serious about wanting to heal yourself. Detox and Rehab are never an easy decision. You know that you want to better yourself but the process is never an easy one. The staff and clinicians at PH are very understanding non judgemental. Some have been in the trenches at times which makes the care and help they offer much easier. The food is great and they are truly genuine across the board not to mention you couldn't ask for a more tranquil environment to heal yourself. No better place to assist you on your journey to recovery

I would highly recommend AVENUES Recovery at New England!! They have great STAFF that you can always depend on if you need them for ANYTHING. I attended NFA 5 years ago. It was my first time getting sober at 22 years old. NFA is where I started my journey. Although I cant speak to how the facility is now, I can speak to what it once way. My case manager Andy was very helpful and he heard me out. The facility itself was very basic, lots of meetings, enough free time for smoke breaks and basketball. The food was pretty good from what I remember. I will say there was a lot of medication, (sometimes meds that I feel like we didn't need but was given anyways). I was in inpatient for 2 weeks and the last two weeks was a house off property where we got phone access and got to make our own meals, which was a great transition. Overall, I would say that my experience was pretty good. I am still sober today...5 years later. I think that to be successful in staying sober you need aftercare, no one stays sober after 30-45 days of inpatient. A sober house afterwards is a necessity. Hope this helps!

I am eternally grateful for Canterbury behavioral health, especially for Jenn Rocha. When I admitted, I was at the lowest point in my life, hopeless, scared, and vulnerable, I had nothing left to give and no hope for the future. Jenn Rocha literally saved my life. If it hadn't been for her holding hope for me when I had none, supporting me, encouraging me, coaching, advocating, cheering me on and pushing me in the ways I needed to be pushed, with love support and encouragement, I would not have stayed and gotten the help I so desperately needed. Everything that could go wrong did, and her support and guidance helped me find a glimmer of hope again. She loved me unconditionally at my lowest, without judgement, when I needed it the most. Her genuine desire to help, and her authenticity gave me the most beautiful gift of learning to trust again. She will be forever in my heart for everything she did for me, and there are no words that are powerful enough to express my gratitude for her and everything she did for me. Yes, the program works if you work it, but it works even better with the compassion of the staff that work at Canterbury. It is truly a blessing to finally have a residential program for mental health in NH. From the top down, the staff genuinely care and want to help, and it is an amazing program. I hope to never need it again, however if I ever do, this is where I will go.

I think Dr Daigle is awesome I've had three other neurologist for my MS she has been the one that has helped me the most I have been able to communicate with her the best in the most effective way and she has come up with the best treatment plan that has seem to have at least helped to slow down and almost stop the progression of my disease which was in a rapidly declining pace when I first met her if there was 10 Stars I would give her that

My son completed the Summit achievement program. He’s turned out to be an incredible young man. I can say 100% without a doubt that he and we as a family may not even exist today without the help of the Summit Achievement family. My wife and our therapist were pushing hard and I was skeptical at first. However, this program and the incredible team changed the trajectory of our lives together. I am confident when I say we could not have survived without this program. Don’t hesitate like I did! Eternally grateful to the Summit family!

I have been on the clinic 2015 & it has helped me on my road to recovery. I am addicted to opiates(pills) & have not abused them since I've been on clinic, I also gave up drinking alcohol when got on clinic. The "dosing" nurses are great nurses,. They're very friendly, care n have lots of patience to deal with addicts everyday. The receptionist(s),doctor & councilors are awesome too. I've had many councilors since been here & always been happy them. The hours are good during the week but during the wknd rhey should stay open longer(some of us come a long way & durning bad weather it hard to get there before 10am)

I Michael Gray wanted to thank all employees and staff members of hhrc for their help and riding along with me in my sobriety it thought it would be hard but boy was I wrong they make everything and bad situations into a positive way in your sobriety, I've been out for 2 weeks but sober for 3 years. Their morning smiles brighten your day expelly the greatest smile Olivia, keep doing what you do your great!!! Gonna miss you all but I'll stop in .ty all so very much from the bottom of my heart..

I see so much hate being projected on the reviews here. This place honestly saved my life, This place and people are the Reason why I am off of dope. There are a few things that could change though,One of the crappiest Things Are, When you Finally Make it to the clinic,Sometimes on Saturday there is a Enormous line out the door all the way around the building. Other than that it's an amazing safe place.
Well I forgot one thing. This is my 3rd counselor which I hope they don't keep leaving.
