The experience was good all in all. Just like any place there could be some adjustments made here and there but it's a pretty good rehab. Upon arrival I was welcomed by Melissa with open arms and a huge smile that made me want to stay instead of run away like most. Most Techs are great even knowing they are 1/2 my age. The ones that stand out most as super stars are Jeff N, Terrance. Darrell and Matt. Therapist super stars are Jamie. Alexis and Matt. I am extremely happy with my choice and am sober and loving life. I came in with a positive mindset, open to any and everything they had to offer and was able to really take advantage of it all. One thing I am most grateful for is the environment and community that grew my positive energy. Everyone from my APN, Dee, my therapist, Michael who I have learned so much from. Jose, my case manager who has always went above and beyond to facilitate any other needs I had. And for Melvin who always was a leader and ready with a smile and positivity. I always felt comfortable and connected. It was always easy for everyone and myself yo be able to engage in group settings and that is a credit to the vibe and energy of each one of the therapists who ran each session. If this is your first time coming to treatment, Footprints gets an A++ from me. Its always tough to take that first step, but they do an amazing job of walking with you the rest of the way. I had no idea what to expect starting my recovery journey and I was so broken down and feeling helpless. All of the staff at Pinelands help me feel comfortable, encouraged, and supported. The meetings were so helpful and introduced me to the AA Program which I had no familiarity with beforehand. Now I’m close to 9 months sober and owe it all to Pinelands. When I walked through those doors, I never thought recovery was possible for me. I was broken, scared, and convinced I couldn’t change. But from the moment I arrived, I was surrounded by the most caring, compassionate, and supportive team I’ve ever met. I got hit with the “welcome to the Ritz!” 🤣 IYKYK The staff at Pinelands didn’t just treat me like a patient, they treated me like a person. Once you tell people you’re an addict, people never look at you the same but every single person went above and beyond to help me heal, rebuild, and believe in myself again. The facility was spotless and peaceful, and the food was really really good (seriously, better than I ever expected!). Everyone I spoke with there said that this is the best facility they’ve ever been to. It’s nice! I’m serious!! I hid my disease from absolutely everybody, my family, friends and fiancé. I honestly feel like I got so lucky finding this place. Pinelands gave me something I never thought I’d have - a real second chance at life. Today, I’m almost 9 months sober. I also just got married a few weeks back and can honestly cry tears of pure happiness (actually happened this morning) because I’m living the life I once thought was impossible. I was not planning on continuing treatment in New Jersey, but the director of the program came and talked to me in detox and explained the benefits and calmed my anxiety about the whole process. He told me about the women's house manager, Val, and he said there is no one else he would recommend to take care of his clients. He said that if he could send everyone to live under Val, he would. I am happy to say that even that was an understatement for Val. Big personality, big passion for recovery and so much love for her girls. From the day I stepped onto Val's doorstep, I felt welcomed, valued and truly cared for. From the beginning she displayed confidence in me and a real desire for me to be there. Val is the reason that house is a home, and for a woman like me, who literally lost everything this year, that made a world of difference. The unity and sisterhood I experienced at sobriety solutions sober living reminded me that connection is the antidote to addiction. Thank you Val, and Mike, and all of sobriety solutions staff! You carried me through a very difficult time, away from my family and in a delicate emotional state. Not only from the staff but the other patients as well. I felt a great deal of camaraderie with everyone. Great food & great facility. All of the staff were so friendly and compassionate as well as my fellow clients and built an awesome rapport with many there. Facility was very sanitary, organized, and run efficiently. Food was phenomenal. Resources were plentiful. Any issues I had I could report to any staff member and it was resolved promptly. I wish I could have stayed for residential instead of just detox but couldn't for personal reasons. In the short 7 days I was there I was able to begin coming out of my shell and found what I felt to be something of a home and family in a way. The chef made incredible food for every meal and stocked the fridge every day with fresh food that we could eat at anytime as well. They also kept the freezer stocked with ice cream and water ice. The facility is cozy and kept very clean. There is a smart tv in every room as well as in the lounge/common area which is set up like a living room. I found the groups helpful. There are 3 hour long groups you can attend but don’t have to and either an AA or NA speakers that comes every night for an hour long meeting. I liked that Sunrise is a smaller facility, having room for about 20 patients. This made it easier to open up and share. You are able to go outside for fresh air or to smoke anytime except during group time. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about Sunrise Detox. Thank you to all the staff! You all are amazing!! Megan McGovern 9 months ago I went to sunrise 6/7 for the first time ever and I don’t regret a single thing about. Never been to detox before but the people who work there actually care about you and want you to get better. It only works if you are ready though. The food was amazing everyday, the counselors are there to help you, and the doctors/nurses want what’s best for you. I will 100% be going back there one day to speak to the patients to show them that recovery is possible. They also help you with finding resources after being discharged. It is a very peaceful setting they have wild geese goats bunnies and it helps so much, gives me a lot of peace and that makes the hard days still great. The womens house is up to 12 women which I love because I recieve more help one on one. The bond us clients and staff have is unforgettable. I will miss this place when my stay is over. The food is great for it being a rehab even the lunch staff are so pleasant and caring. Its only been 2 weeks and I love it here soo much. My counselor Kenneth (Ken) is the best counselor I ever had, no joke! He has worked with me more than any other counselor. He also has daily groups that I miss on the weekends and its a high in my day, so is the H&I Meetings. We do alot of activities & crafts, I didnt even know I enjoy. I am learning so much here. It is worth it and if you want to AFA/AMA there is plenty of support so you don't. If you want to receive help whether your in active addiction, coming from somewhere else or messed up like me after having clean time its helping get grounded again in my journey. For some reason I just happened to be thinking about it, I am now 58 years old and live in Florida. I had a wonderful experience coming here after juvenile detention. I was Court committed and spent six months here. I had a great counselor, I met great friends and stay sober for many years after and it was a great beginning for me and foundation for life. I was a scared 16 year old with issues of abandonment and not knowing my real parents I'm getting mixed up with alcohol and some drugs. Even though it was a difficult time I was very fortunate to come here and got a lot of help and support and helped me through my teenage years.
