My experience at Steps to Recovery has been great for the most part, the people and the environment are very welcoming and comforting. I have had some issues that have come up, but they usually get resolved. My only main gripe is with some of the other clients at the community living house fail to clean up after themselves, and some do not know self control. But, the staff here is very professional and easy to talk to. I find that the opportunities here for my recovery journey are pretty good, although I'd like access to more holistic therapy resources. I've actually personally facilitated a Dharma meeting and will facilitate more in the future. I appreciate my time here at STR and am excited for the future with them.

I don’t even know where to start. Pinelands Recover Center of Medford truly saved my life. When I walked through those doors, I never thought recovery was possible for me. I was broken, scared, and convinced I couldn’t change. But from the moment I arrived, I was surrounded by the most caring, compassionate, and supportive team I’ve ever met. I got hit with the “welcome to the Ritz!” 🤣 IYKYK
The staff at Pinelands didn’t just treat me like a patient, they treated me like a person. Once you tell people you’re an addict, people never look at you the same but every single person went above and beyond to help me heal, rebuild, and believe in myself again. The facility was spotless and peaceful, and the food was really really good (seriously, better than I ever expected!). Everyone I spoke with there said that this is the best facility they’ve ever been to. It’s nice! I’m serious!!
I hid my disease from absolutely everybody, my family, friends and fiancé. I honestly feel like I got so lucky finding this place. Pinelands gave me something I never thought I’d have - a real second chance at life. Today, I’m almost 9 months sober. I also just got married a few weeks back and can honestly cry tears of pure happiness (actually happened this morning) because I’m living the life I once thought was impossible.
I remember reading reviews for this place before entering, so hopefully my review can help someone else like me 🩵 If you’re struggling, please believe me when I say this: if I can do it, anyone can. Pinelands gave me hope, STRENGTH, bravery and freedom. They helped me become the person I was always meant to be.
I seriously freaking love you guys. You all will forever hold a special place in my heart. The job is NOT easy 🤣 you guys are the true unsung heroes!!!
Much respect & forever grateful!!

I make everything start at worst case scenario hoping it doesn't stay there but unfortunately it sometimes does. Im not going to give you a play by play or some incredible testimony because my story is still going strong but I've come a very long way and I 💯 give my counselor, Susan, alot of credit for sticking by me even bk in the beginning when I would be nasty and childish towards her and ill never forget when she told me that she was just waiting for me to be ready. * full disclosure im a garbage head and at the time I needed rehab terribly. And she was so patient and calm n it drove me nuts. Until one day, I walked into her office and said im ready. And from that chair in her office I left for rehab right away thanks to a combined effort of the staff, Will a former employee but mainly through her approach over months. I've had several wonderful things happen since then but most importantly I finally won my 3 year battle with CPS and gained joint custody of my son back. Now, don't get it twisted, I am far from a shiney happy person now. I've got major struggles right now but ever since that day she can't get rid of me off her caseload. Mainly because secretly im her favorite.😄 but i won't let them switch me because Susan really does care about her clients and I am sure of it for many reasons. If Susan isn't you're counselor you're missing out. And because of her this center gets a 5 star 🌟 rating from me. Which, btw, NEVER happens.

I have all good things to say about this program. I was not planning on continuing treatment in New Jersey, but the director of the program came and talked to me in detox and explained the benefits and calmed my anxiety about the whole process. He told me about the women's house manager, Val, and he said there is no one else he would recommend to take care of his clients. He said that if he could send everyone to live under Val, he would. I am happy to say that even that was an understatement for Val. Big personality, big passion for recovery and so much love for her girls. From the day I stepped onto Val's doorstep, I felt welcomed, valued and truly cared for. From the beginning she displayed confidence in me and a real desire for me to be there. Val is the reason that house is a home, and for a woman like me, who literally lost everything this year, that made a world of difference. The unity and sisterhood I experienced at sobriety solutions sober living reminded me that connection is the antidote to addiction. Thank you Val, and Mike, and all of sobriety solutions staff! You carried me through a very difficult time, away from my family and in a delicate emotional state. You continue to text and check on me, celebrating my wins and helping me through triggers and tough moments. I am proud to be an alumni of this program and would highly recommend it to anyone who is serious about getting sober and finding a new way to live.

I can’t say enough good things about our house manager, Val. She truly went above and beyond every single day to make sure we were cared for and supported. Her dedication, patience, and compassion never went unnoticed. She didn’t just do her job—she genuinely cared, and you could feel it in everything she did. Whether it was checking in on us individually, handling things behind the scenes, or just being there with a kind word or a listening ear, she made a real difference in our lives. I’m so grateful for everything she did and the love she showed us. She’s one of those people you don’t forget! Thank you Val!

Langhorne, PA | Banyan Treatment Centers – Philadelphia specializes in treating drug and alcohol addiction to help patients lead meaningful substance free lives. This addiction treatment center is found in Langhorne, Pennsylvania. The staff at this drug rehab center work alongside patients to give them the confidence they require to overcome addiction and achiev | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Of course every place has their flaws, however I've never met a staff that truly cared so much for the patients. This isn't a job to them its a way of life. From the techs, to clincial staff, therapist and the higher ups. Nothing during my time there fell on deaf ears. Id advise anyone coming to treatment there to swallow your pride and be open and listen. A brief background of myself, im very opinionated and strong willed so of course I knew everything or at least I thought I did. The staff here really did everything they could to reassure me over and over that I can get better. I just needed to get out of my own way. They were 100% correct. The techs always made me feel like this wasn't a house it was my home. People like Andy, Melanie, Leigh Ann, Amethyst, Jose, Stan and of course my OG Allison have always shown me that mine and my fellow housemates best interest was always top priority. Their stories and generosity is truly inspiring. I never felt judged or unwelcome They really care about each and everyone of us. They may be on the ground floor regarding job titles but they definitely are the foundation that keeps this facitly standing. The clinical staff such as Max, Morgan, Curtis, Michelle, MK, their doors are always open when needed. Whether they're running groups or plugging away in their offices they are always willing to stop and listen in the time of need. They too along with the techs are going to be your biggest cheerleaders towards a better life a sober life. While you will notice vast differences in some of their approaches PLEASE keep your ears open because they all reached me in different ways even though I didn't see the value they offered right away. Collectively, its a excellent group to learn from. While my time with Alex a therapist was limited it was very insightful and gave me a different way to see things that definitely resignated with me. As for my personal therapist Jackie, she was amazing. Her door was always open whether it was to pop in an say hi when I needed to vent or just shoot the breeze. Our sessions together allowed me to open up to a point I never had before. Even during her groups she may come off fun and playful, but there is a method to everything. Last but certainly not least, listen to your peers in those rooms. They come from all different backgrounds, gender, race age etc. They offer true wisdom and real life experiences. I personally never met a sober addict that didn't light up a room. These people will teach you more than you could imagine if youre willing to listen and do the work. Ill leave you with this, all of the above comes from someone who has been to 2 detox, 3 other rehabs, never lasting more than 6 total days. Banyan and their staff and clients made me feel at home while I battled through and not for a second did I ever feel alone while I was there. My goal now is to get my life back and whether it happens or not is upto me and me alone but Banyan gave me the tools I need to have a fighting chance, so thank you.

I was also suffering from gait abnormality and balance and coordination issues so they transferred me to Wyndmoor Hills for Physical therapy and once I'm discharged well before I'm discharged, I'll pick a rehab facility for inpatient treatment.Wish me luck.

I spent a little over a month there. It wasn't under the best circumstances, and I was scared, nervous, and unsure about everything that was happening to me. Everyone that I dealt with there was incredibly kind, sympathetic, helpful, reassuring, and professional. The staff there made what could have been a very stressful and trying time bearable and easy to go through. They absolutely deserve these 5 stars.

Cherry Hill, NJ | Sunrise Detox’s Cherry Hill location, located in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, provides addiction detox services to individuals living in the area who are suffering from drug and alcohol addictions. They also treat dual diagnosis cases. Or, in other words, individuals who have co-occurring mental health conditions. This varies, but can include depress | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Amazing staff who make sure you’re are well taken care of and comfortable. The chef made incredible food for every meal and stocked the fridge every day with fresh food that we could eat at anytime as well. They also kept the freezer stocked with ice cream and water ice. The facility is cozy and kept very clean. There is a smart tv in every room as well as in the lounge/common area which is set up like a living room. I found the groups helpful. There are 3 hour long groups you can attend but don’t have to and either an AA or NA speakers that comes every night for an hour long meeting. I liked that Sunrise is a smaller facility, having room for about 20 patients. This made it easier to open up and share. You are able to go outside for fresh air or to smoke anytime except during group time. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about Sunrise Detox. Thank you to all the staff! You all are amazing!!

I went to sunrise 6/7 for the first time ever and I don’t regret a single thing about. Never been to detox before but the people who work there actually care about you and want you to get better. It only works if you are ready though. The food was amazing everyday, the counselors are there to help you, and the doctors/nurses want what’s best for you. I will 100% be going back there one day to speak to the patients to show them that recovery is possible. They also help you with finding resources after being discharged. I was recommended tk a doctor for the sublocade shot and had it done within two weeks of leaving sunrise. It’s a smaller operation but I found it to be better.
