I was already on the right track before entering this problem but so glad I went in with an open mind. Ariel has helped me in my progression as a man realizing I'm a human being who needs to be valued. I see the bigger picture now because she makes things so easy to understand. She never makes you feel judged she has all my trust. That needed to be said because I'm going tomorrow at 4 I look forward to it because I'm always better when I leave. I owe it to her in helping me get over that last hurdle to get my life back. It feels good to be present

I would like to share some thoughts about Mountainside and especially our sons recovery coach Christina. Following his completion of a 28 day in-patient program with another provider he enrolled at Mountainside Chappaqua. He is in their Outside Patient and Recovery Coaching programs. Our son and Christina have been working together for about five months. They talk daily and meet weekly. A few weeks into the program Christina began doing weekly calls with my wife and me. Our son works with various therapists, clinicians and other staff at Mountainside. He is complimentary of the entire organization and their contribution in helping him understand his addiction and providing recovery support. My wife and I only work with Christina. Christina is EXCELLENT. She balances professional counseling, insight, accountability, great communication skills and timely follow-up. Having walked this life herself she is highly skilled and relatable but it’s never about her. Christina cares. She has built valued trust with all of is. My wife’s and my weekly calls provide an update on his progress and any open issues. She reminds us that he is accountable for his own recovery and keeps us in our lane. Most important she has helped keep our sons recovery moving positively forward day after day.

I was so lost and giving up on life and a few good suggestions brought me here. Everyone from the friar in charge of the inn to security and maintenance made me feel welcome. The counselors are the best I’ve ever dealt with. My counselor was amazing, the physco therapist helped me realize things on my own and a former resident who is now staff related to my issues making me comfortable with the process. That guy was a godsend. These people helped me with my addiction issues more in 6 months then I’ve been able to do over the last 30 years. I now have hope and a blueprint that I follow to live a life in recovery. I could never thank them enough

This place completely saved my life, it taught me a new way to live and that I am a man, worthy of love and respect. Since there, in 2017, I had one slip up about a year after I graduated, but that was almost 8 years ago now. Since then, I went to welding school, they set me up in a halfway house in NYC, moved back home to Rochester, NY. I have worked in the welding industry and slowly worked my way to where now I run a million dollar welding training program and I try pass along the same message I learned there. You are a Man, or Woman, worthy of love and respect, with hard work and dedication you can have anything you set your mind to.

I spent a month at their PHP program. I can’t express enough how grateful I am for literally all of the staff at the hospital. The intake team worked so fast and made me already feel like I was in good hands. The therapists were incredible, that is saying more than you could know coming from me. Each one had their own style and strengths and collectively produced a therapy experience that no individual therapist could possible provide; they had an entourage effect of sorts. We only knew the “interns” were interns because they told us. The psychiatric team was compassionate, extremely advanced (objectively), I have very strong opinions about psychiatry and honestly all three psychiatrists were a standard well above what I could have expected. The kitchen staff was kind and the food was good for cafeteria food. The hospital helped find transportation for me and could not have been more supportive and accommodating. I’m getting emotional writing this because I didn’t really believe such a place existed, and to know that there actually is good quality help, for someone whose been seeking it for a long time, challenged my jaded perspectives in a very positive way. I see the negative reviews and it makes sense that people; patients and supportive family, going through a difficult time might find frustration as healing is in no way linear; but I can say with confidence that you and your loved ones are taking a really good shot with Saint Vincents

I was skeptical at first because of the public reviews but I was so happy with the service a very close family member received here. Staff is so attentive, so easy to reach with questions and concerns and the social worker (Justin) was always available when I needed him and incredibly helpful. The food is really good, the staff was very kind, the meds that were prescribed are making an obvious difference in my family members life. I would recommend this hospital to anyone seeking mental help.

My daughter has autism as severe as it gets! She stayed at this hospital over a month and the staff there worked so hard to get her at her baseline. I forgot to mention she is 31 years old which makes the task even harder, her being set in her own ways. I brought her home until she will eventually go to a group home. We had the best night that I have had in years with my daughter and I . I’m so grateful to the st. Vincent staff for what they done. Staff really took care of my child! I’m so very grateful. She was always showered and taken cared of and that really impressed me cause she is incontinent and isn’t able to take care of herself. ❤️ grateful parent

I stayed here a few years ago, I can’t remember how many. One thing positive I can say about them is their team of doctors are extremely educated. All my life I have felt other people’s physical pain and emotional pain and had many other strange things happen. I was put in their hospital because everyone close to me was dying or going through serious upsets. I couldn’t handle . They diagnosed me as an Empath which answered a life long question as what was wrong with me. I appreciate them so very much for that and am very grateful. Also my personal phychiatrist, I can’t remember her name, she had long blonde hair and was very beautiful inside and out. I’d love to know if she’s still there. As far as the staff there’s good and bad everywhere but they were mostly good. They didn’t offer much in a program way so me and 6 other patients watched the tape of instructions on DBT. We had booklets to go along with the tapes so we were able to take notes. We taught ourselves so well that it’s saved me many many times, plus it made the time go by and each one of us learned better by taking turns teaching and learning the lesson for the next time. I definitely recommend this hospital. It’s also very clean and beautiful inside.

yes, i do not want to be here. but everyone is nice. cara, one of the two dietitians, is very funny. she challenges me and i don’t always like it, but it will probably help me. to be clear i am still here. i’m writing this while still in php, but still. my therapist, kiran, is also very fun to talk to and always listens. you get a two sessions a week with your treatment team. you bring your own dinenr, they supply for lunch and snack. you have four groups a day to help you. the cycle menu is very repetitive but it’s fine. grace, the group facilitator is the nicest person i’ve ever met. i think i’ve gotten better here and i hope to everyone else who comes is able to get better as well!!

I cannot say enough about the kindness and compassion of the staff at the Lighthouse Retreat and Wellness Center. After being referred by a friend, all I had to do was call for an appointment and the office staff handled everything ensuring I had access to affordable care that was flexible to my schedule. Cathy is an amazing therapist, who I look forward to seeing and can talk to like an old friend. Her gentle guidance has allowed my healing journey to happen at my own pace without judgement. She understands the complexities of trauma and meets you where you are at. Connecting with other women through groups and workshops in addition to the 1:1 sessions has been life changing. TMS treatment. An arduous process that for me led to multiple noticeable results I.e. Clearer mind, more positive thinking, did away with my need to isolate and overly sleep/stay in bed. If you are able to devote the time and funds to the treatment I would most definitely recommend. The office will guide you through the approval process. Which is something that in the middle of a bad bout seems impossible to do in your own.

This is a caring and wonderful counseling center. I’ve been helped tremendously by the faith based compassionate counseling here. If you are a believer, or even if you’re not but want to try a somewhat different perspective, I have found it to be a judgement free and accepting place of healing. I’ve met with Cheryl but everyone there seems kind and supportive as well. Highly recommend this practice!
