My wife had a minor surgery done here. Relatively clean and tidy facility. Also a decent level of privacy compared to other hospitals we’ve had procedures done. Staff were kind, patient, and thorough. They mostly seem pretty happy, which engenders a lot of confidence in their system. Yes, there was a lot of waiting, but that’s every hospital. Surgery scheduled for 1:00, started at 2:00.

We want to thank Phelps Hospital ER from the bottom of our hearts. My husband was sick with high fever, turns out he had pneumonia. Every person who interacted with us was very kind, helpful, responsive, courteous, caring and prompt. They took him in quickly. Assigned him a nice room with a door and curtain. Everywhere was clean, everything and everyone was very orderly. They quickly did the work up, started the IV fluids, gave the nebulizer and painkillers. Dr. Nick was very cool. Big thanks to our nurse Ryan, super organized, super helpful. My husband received the treatment he needed, was feeling much better when we were leaving. We were done in less than 4 hours. We certainly did not expect our ER experience to turn out this way. Thank you for this pleasant surprise. Highly recommend.

I would like to share some thoughts about Mountainside and especially our sons recovery coach Christina.
Following his completion of a 28 day in-patient program with another provider he enrolled at Mountainside Chappaqua. He is in their Outside Patient and Recovery Coaching programs. Our son and Christina have been working together for about five months. They talk daily and meet weekly. A few weeks into the program Christina began doing weekly calls with my wife and me.
Our son works with various therapists, clinicians and other staff at Mountainside. He is complimentary of the entire organization and their contribution in helping him understand his addiction and providing recovery support. My wife and I only work with Christina.
Christina is EXCELLENT. She balances professional counseling, insight, accountability, great communication skills and timely follow-up. Having walked this life herself she is highly skilled and relatable but it’s never about her. Christina cares. She has built valued trust with all of is. My wife’s and my weekly calls provide an update on his progress and any open issues. She reminds us that he is accountable for his own recovery and keeps us in our lane. At first, I was a little skeptical about going to a VA facility, but I took the risk, and it ended up being a great experience. They gave me proper attention and were nice to me. It's kind of hard to know where all things are inside the building, but the care they gave me was good.

I was so lost and giving up on life and a few good suggestions brought me here. Everyone from the friar in charge of the inn to security and maintenance made me feel welcome. The counselors are the best I’ve ever dealt with. My counselor was amazing, the physco therapist helped me realize things on my own and a former resident who is now staff related to my issues making me comfortable with the process. That guy was a godsend. These people helped me with my addiction issues more in 6 months then I’ve been able to do over the last 30 years. I now have hope and a blueprint that I follow to live a life in recovery. I could never thank them enough

I have been to an inpatient facility where this was not the case, and have nothing but positive things to say about the counseling center. Wanted to take a moment to dote on counselor Richelle Atkins. She has been instrumental in helping me change my life and work through my addiction. When you find someone like Richelle who is not just passionate about her job but truly cares for the people and community - that kind of dedication to the cause helps me to feel not so alone. RRCOC I am forever grateful for. This place guided me on the right path of recovery and I am still sober to this day as a result. No relapse not even a thought has crossed mg mind. I realized how valuable family is and this short time we have on earth to really cherish the things that matter.

I was at RRCOC on October 25th, 2022 and today is February 25th, 2025.
I remember being lost at a train station off the NJ transit, and a man asked me where I was going, and I told him a rehab. He drove me 1 hour to RRCOC and dropped me off in the front instead of me getting a hotel room for the night because the facility wasn’t available a certain time to process a new intake, which could have been a bad idea for me if I went to the hotel. That man named
Tom was sober 33 years and proactive with AA. My entire outlook on life changed at that moment. Time seriously flies. Thank you for everything.

Have you ever been sick and tired of being sick and tired? Go to RRCOOC! The facility, the staff, the counselors, the nurses, the back of house hospitality team, everything is there rooted in helping you achieve your goals. Whatever they may be. A lot of people are at different timelines in their recovery journey and it being my first in patient I was confused / concerned about how I would get the care I needed, but with the structured group schedules, the work/preparation/treatment plan with your counselor and the help of the RSS staff AND (most importantly!!!) your willingness to truly lean into all of the above, you will find within the first few days you have a tailored wellness retreat in your hands. You will discover things and rediscover things that will make you excited and curious for life again. A life with so much more to offer you! I truly LOVED everything!! Well, I think my one complaint is that the outside pool was not open since I went in October. Obviously kidding! A huge shoutout to EVERYONE there, but also my counselor Nicky, who truly blessed me with an improved blueprint of my life! I am forever grateful to her and the tough love approach because at the end of the day, everyone in that building is on your side and are rooting for you to TAKE YOUR LIFE BACK!!! I am a disabled veteran and have been seen at the Goshen VA Clinic regularly since 2016. The care there has always been excellent. It is a small clinic, so you have to adapt to their resources, like, that the lab work is only done in the mornings, and the My Healthy Vet self-service kiosk doesn't work, but the reception staff have always been very good.

This is a great outpatient program. I saw some of the negative comments and I totally disagree. The counselors are awesome. They are not judgemental. They call clients on their BS!! Of course there are clients who are mandated. That's every rehab. But there are also people who are there because they need help and want to be there. I loved the counselors because they were very in tune to the disease of addiction. Someone mentioned the "older white male" counselor. He was one of my favorites. They are very compassionate. They also run their groups efficiently. I've been to some outpatient programs where the counselors can't control the groups and by the time the group is over...I forgot what the actual group topic was. I would definitely recommend this treatment program to anyone who really wants help with their addiction.

My son was sent here from Four Winds Katonah! My son was at Four Winds for several weeks. I couldn't have visits because they said they couldn't regulate him. Since he has been at Rockland he was only been restrained once! Since then staff have told me he regulates himself! Have had a couple of visits and phone calls daily! Amanda the Social worker is Amazing! Our son said the staff help him a lot! I can't wait until he is able to return home and Rockland is making that possible!

All reviews I read on children center are all bad.. due that the kids don't understand. It's not home. Should be like jail.. put us patents threw hell . I would give u a mattress and a sheet . Say there is your room.

I started IOP at NewLife back in January & just recently graduated this month. The positive impact it had & made on me .. I honestly don’t think I could’ve done it without my counselor Sam & the owner Bert! From the rip they made me feel super comfortable & not judged. As soon as you walk in they’re nothing but super helpful & supportive. It’s an awesome/wonderful environment & very welcoming with skilled staff. When I started I recently just had given birth & I was super nervous thinking it would be impossible to make it to groups 3 times a week but they gave me the option of doing it through ZOOM which not many places do, right there that was like a huge weight lifted off my shoulders. My counselor Sam created a truly supportive and safe place that helped me focus on my recovery and help make positive changes for me in my life. Highly recommend!!!

I had the best experience here. my counselor Samantha truly cares so much for her patients and was always available whenever I needed to talk to her. and these are not just words, she truly truly cares for each and everyone of her patients.
