After a stressful experience elsewhere with an enlarged thyroid that was affecting my voice and swallowing, I came to Phelps Hospital and Northwell Health for a second opinion. The care I received from start to finish was extraordinary. Every physician I worked with—Dr. Hellerman (Endocrinology), Dr. Newman (Surgery), and Dr. Indich (Primary Care)—took the time to truly listen, explain everything clearly, and treat me like a person rather than a chart number. The team at Yorktown Imaging was equally wonderful, keeping my spirits high and putting me at ease during my pre-op MRI. On surgery day, everything ran like clockwork. Admissions was private and efficient. A patient care concierge explained the tracker system to my husband so he could follow my progress, and my prep nurse was attentive, communicative, and made sure he could sit with me before surgery. Dr. Newman took extra care to place the incision where scarring would be minimal, and the anesthesiology team kept me completely informed. Recovery staff managed my post-anesthesia nausea immediately, and Dr. Newman checked on me before I was discharged to rest at home. Post-op follow-up has been fantastic—calls were returned promptly, and one week out I have minimal pain, zero complications, and feel better every day. Thank you to the entire Phelps team for your skill, warmth, and genuine patient-first culture!

Christian Health brought my dad back to life! After a a terrible two months in the hospital, my dad had weakened his swallow muscles and couldn’t eat or drink. He had a stomach feeding tube when he entered the rehab facility. He wasn’t walking independently but Amanda Burkart, the speech pathologist at Christian health brought so much energy, positivity and consistency in her care that my dad started eating and drinking and passed his swallow test. The nurse and care staff: Jetta, Nancy, Akina and Marwa were all so attentive and caring. I also appreciated Trisha who helped me manage all the follow up appointments for my dad. I can’t say enough positive things about Christian Healths Rehab staff. All the PT and OT staff were amazing too! Thank you for bringing my dad back to life! We are all so grateful!

In 2001, I walked into St. Christopher’s Inn broken and lost in addiction. I’ve been sober ever since. Out of all the places I went, this was the place where it finally clicked for me. Their long term program and tough love approach were exactly what I needed no sugarcoating, no excuses, just real recovery and real accountability. If you’re truly tired of the life of drug abuse and genuinely want to change, I highly recommend St. Christopher’s Inn. The staff, the structure, and the brotherhood helped save my life. I still try to go back every summer for their annual picnic because that place will always mean something special to me. I owe them more than words can explain. God bless everyone there.

I am a disabled veteran and have been seen at the Goshen VA Clinic regularly since 2016. The care there has always been excellent. It is a small clinic, so you have to adapt to their resources, like, that the lab work is only done in the mornings, and the My Healthy Vet self-service kiosk doesn't work, but the reception staff have always been very good.

Wanted to take a moment to dote on counselor Richelle Atkins. She has been instrumental in helping me change my life and work through my addiction. When you find someone like Richelle who is not just passionate about her job but truly cares for the people and community - that kind of dedication to the cause helps me to feel not so alone. Judgement has no place at Restorative and Richelle is a true reflection of that. I could tell her anything and she would only try and make it better for me or challenge me to think of how I can do better in the future. The counseling center staff are truly dedicated at providing excellent rehabilitation services. I have been to an inpatient facility where this was not the case, and have nothing but positive things to say about the counseling center. Dair, Tim, Kristen and Kristine helped me build strong mental habits and skills for managing the emotional stress that led to my use. Wish there was a rating higher than 5 stars

My son was sent here from Four Winds Katonah! My son was at Four Winds for several weeks. I couldn't have visits because they said they couldn't regulate him. Since he has been at Rockland he was only been restrained once! Since then staff have told me he regulates himself! Have had a couple of visits and phone calls daily! Amanda the Social worker is Amazing! Our son said the staff help him a lot! I can't wait until he is able to return home and Rockland is making that possible!

Been going here 3 years. Some of these bad reviews are ridiculous. My whole first year I gave dirty drug test every single time with no consequences other the. Being checked on in a compassionate manner. This is the only reason I am clean today. I was able to do it on my own terms. And I have been to dozens of other treatment facility’s and clinics. Not a single one worked. I owe my life to the people as well as my gf who has about three years clean from these people. Addicts don’t need to be in a cage just a hand to hold as we figure out life.

This is a great outpatient program. I saw some of the negative comments and I totally disagree. The counselors are awesome. They are not judgemental. They call clients on their BS!! Of course there are clients who are mandated. That's every rehab. But there are also people who are there because they need help and want to be there. I loved the counselors because they were very in tune to the disease of addiction. Someone mentioned the "older white male" counselor. He was one of my favorites. They are very compassionate. They also run their groups efficiently. I've been to some outpatient programs where the counselors can't control the groups and by the time the group is over...I forgot what the actual group topic was. I would definitely recommend this treatment program to anyone who really wants help with their addiction.

10/10 the best rehabilitation/discipleship program. This place saved my life! Graduated in 2019 after being a homeless heroin/crack addict for years. This place gave me the space and time to grow a real relationship with Jesus. I had no hope and no self worth. Today I am 7 3/4 yrs clean from heroin and crack. I have a Salary and an apartment in Houston TX, happily married for 3 years. I also had been through many other programs before I came to the Hoving Home in Garrison NY. Do not let your excuses no matter what they are get in the way of giving yourself a chance. They are excuses. This is the opportunity of a real chance at a successful life.
