I was in this Rehabilitation back in 2000 2001 and if it wasn't for st Joe's I wouldn't be where I am today the counselor I had I belive his name was John who has since passed and the counselor Dan and the staff was amazing I learned from my dark pass to live clean and sober and sure there rules are tough it not a play ground or a fake it to you make program it a rehab where you go to get you life straight and try to live life the way you were taught notby drugs no alcohol and our untrustworthy lifestyle we were living they helped me to be the person I am today thank you st Joe's for helping me to be who I am today and live life to the fullest

This is the place to have your kids. My wife and I have been through this process 3 time now ( 1x Thompson Hospital, 1x Florida, 1x Potsdam Hospital) and this hospital blew all the others out of the water. We showed at 5am where we were greeted by Megan who was on the last quarter of a graveyard shift and yet still maintained impeccable bedside manner. She truly appeared to enjoy what she does so if she was burned out she sure didn't show it. Dr. Dargie was professional and thorough. Nurse Anna was tentative, nice, and an all around pleasure as she took great care of my wife and baby throughout surgery day. Big fan of Dr. Terrence, she has great pediatric advice if you ask her for it! While I cannot remember all the nurses we encountered there was not a bad one at all! The whole maternity ward deserves a bonus from Rochester Regional Health in my opinion! It is hard to find a whole group of nurses that are that great! Good enough for me to write this whole review so that says something. Lastly the food was top notch! Not the typical hospital food everyone dreads. Hospital is clean, staff are nice, food is good, have your babies here!

I want to add a personal review of River Rock under my name because I’m truly happy of the program and what it has done for my family. I don’t necessarily identify as being an alcoholic but used substances as a way to cope with bad times. Through the intensive outpatient therapy program River Rock provides I was able to gain a clear understanding of how to navigate problems at home. I went through the process a few years ago and then my husband felt compelled (thankfully) to do so after. Since then, we’ve been able to navigate life in a more healthy manner. They use a multi-faceted approach of different therapies including CBT, DBT, life coaching, adventure therapy, group sessions and one-on-one therapy to make sure that people get the help they need! We’ve been able to create a more holistic life that benefits us and use the tools given to get through hard times. We are more connected and practice self care including cold plunges and are building a space to install a sauna at home. Communication is better, my husband has been alcohol free for over a year and a half and we are able to navigate life much better. If you are questioning getting help in any capacity, I would recommend at least reaching out to River Rock. There is no shame in wanting to take steps to achieving a more healthy outlook on life. Healing Springs is a welcoming recovery community resource center serving those in recovery, substance users seeking recovery, and family dealing with loved ones with substance-use problems and issues.
The center offers a plethora of programs for those in recovery including 12-steps (AA, NA, MA, OA, CODA), All Recovery, and Refuge Recovery. It also offers different guided activities including Recovery Writing, painting, and jewelry making. Community activities include gardening, Saturday coffee and chat, fishing, and bowling.
The center is staffed by both volunteers (many of whom are in recovery) and professional Certified Recovery Peer Advocates (CRPAs). Some of the Center's CRPAs specialize in areas of family, veterans, incarceration, and hospitalization.

Spring Lake Ranch was there for me when I did not know where to go or how to pick up my life after a bout of severe depression and weeks of ECT treatment. The Ranch provided me a space to heal amongst community. Even if I felt terrible, at the end of the day, I got out of bed, worked, engaged with community and was productive.
