Everything about New Horizon is wonderful! I have been going to New Horizon for over a year and have always had a great experience. The entire staff at the front desk, Anthony and Dr Oz always makes you feel like you are a priority and they really care. I honestly don’t know where I would be mentally if it weren’t for the tools they teach you and the care you receive. I completed treatment here with Gianna who is on the 3rd floor , I must say when I initially started I didn’t think I was going to get much out of it and I had A LOT going on in my personal life. Gianna was the breath of fresh air I needed, she was warm, welcoming and made me feel so comfortable talking to her and telling her what I’ve been dealing with. She went above and beyond to work with me and my schedule, I looked forward to my meetings with her . If anyone ever finds themselves at this location do yourself a favor AND REQUEST GIANNA !!!

I wasnt sure at first cause every place is different but this one actually worked for me. The staff were cool and they explained stuff clearly so I could follow along. Some things felt a bit slow but overall I left feeling like I had real progress and tools to keep going.

Yeah, so, my life was a bit of a dumpster fire before I showed up here at Paterson Recovery. 🔥🤷♀️ Seriously, like a bad reality TV show. But these guys? They helped me grab the extinguisher and actually put that thing out. They've got this cool way of making you face your stuff without making you feel like a total screw-up. It's tough work, no lie, but you'll probably chuckle a little along the way. Who knew getting your life back could be kinda fun? Highly recommend for anyone whose life needs a serious reboot.

I’ve been to fourwinds 2 times, after having so many bad experiences I decided to go to Rockland. When I first got there they took so much blood work it was unbelievable, the Hospital I was transferred actually lied to me and told me if I let them have extra samples that rockland wouldn’t take any from me. But of course they lied. The kids were pretty nice I guess, but some people had absolutely no chill at all, I was threatened on many occasions, even told to take my own life. And wasn’t really given much support and attention. I felt so feral in this hospital. This place made me feel absolutely worse than I was when I left. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if I developed more mental illness from this place. Honestly the staff were very caring and supporting, people like, Georgie, Nixon, Markie, Zelma, Sandra, Alfonzo, Jace, John, Shaun, Adam brown, Mrs heather, Mrs Ambrose, were very helpful and supportive people during my treatment, lots of staff really do care and are happy to help you. But some staff aren’t really the best. I miss all my friends from college D, and I hope everything is going well. But I don’t recommend this hospital. It’s a very low budget place, plus some of the staff are just straight up rude, incudling some kids (which they don’t get any form of punishment or discipline for misbehaving and causing problems) so thank you for reading my review.

I’ve participated in IOP, outpatient groups, individual therapy, DBT, CBT, and trauma-informed work. The DBT class, in particular, was a life changer—the skills are concrete and I use them every day.
Over my time at Hazelden, I’ve gained tools to rebuild routines, reduce cravings, improve relationships, and maintain sobriety. I was a Patient there for approximately 9 months. A Wonderful Atmosphere and you’re surrounded by ppl who Really Care.
Especially the Counselors, My Counselor in Particular. Her Name was Jenn. A Wonderful Person and an Absolute Dear young Lady.
She was Extremely informative and Knows just how to make you feel Comfortable and Cared For.
I was going through a Rough patch, but looked Forward to my meetings with her every week and Every time I left her office, I ALWAYS FELT BETTER AND FELT LIKE SOMEONE CARED..
I can Honestly Say, Meeting Jenn was a Highlight of my Time there.
I only left there because I found a place Much Closer to my home out East.
But my Counselor there will always be close to my heart.
And I Thank Her Dearly.

Great service offered to persons in need they have a methadone clinic and a residence. It is like a one-stop shop except there is no detox service offered. There are groups and structured programs for clients. I know of persons who have used the service and are now successful. If they did it, so can others. I have nothing bad to say about this program. I have been clean and sober for many years now, and from my experience " it works 💪 if you work it" I have an amazing counselor who is am very comfortable talking to. You does this job cause she cares. I really like the nurses, they're very kind and always greet me with a friendly smile. Even the security guards, and the janitor are super cool and friendly. I would recommend this program to anyone who is ready to get clean. You come handle your business in the program, and you " bounce" Go home, you nevermind what anybody else is doing. I missed one day because I went to the hospital but I signed out ADA so I had no paperwork, mind you I was very sick and traveled over a hour to get there from Long Island. And the director of the program( mrs pool )seeing i was sick had zero compassion or empathy for my situation and was very nasty towards me almost personal which didn’t make sense because I never had a bad experience with her previous to this one. But I have always witnessed her attitude from a distance and I guess today was the day for me to experience it firsthand. Disgusting.

‘Hurt People , Hurt People’. I needed a free therapist and was able to have 5 intake sessions with a pleasant young woman. I benefited from these sessions as it is always rewarding when we analyze and acknowledge what is going on in our lives. So much was happening for me and I was not able to attend all the assigned sessions. Management was not able to communicate in a responsible or mature manner; I wonder maybe they too are prior clients who have graduated but do not have a total grip on their situation and sometimes need help themselves. My very pleasant intake person became insensitive, cold, ‘passive aggressive’ and quite non communicative. I lead the conversation and realized that I was being ‘expelled’. I really don’t know the reason as I do believe she has her own issues and the Leadership is not of a strong foundation with knowledge of servicing a diverse clientele. Such a shame because this has the potential to be a top notch program in a great community. I only wish I was able to find an experienced, strong, qualified leadership that is familiar with diversity and respect. I was feeling hurt as this was the second time I had to deal with leadership’s lack of sensitivity. It should not be just a JOB when people come to you for help. Fix the structure of this place.

WARNING, do not go! Hispanic Counceling Center is an organization that staffs unprofessional, unqualified, irresponsible “psychologists” who are unwilling to actually do their job and would rather boot people to a psyc ward. Unless you want to lose a whole day of work/time and be sent TO A PSCY WARD and be ESCORTED BY POLCIE for guidance on your personal issues by your own psychologist, I highly recommend asking your healthcare provider to recommend another therapy clinic. I would literally put zero stars if it was an option.

Today is my 43 birthday and I am so grateful to Project Outreach saving my life. I am sober and my mental health has never been better.
I am a single mother of two children who suffers from major depression and alcoholism. A little over a year ago I walk into Project Outreach broken like never before. I was scare because I lost hope. Their treatment plan saved me.
I will like to give Stephanie Blackwood an special shout out because I would not have made it this far without her expertise and compassion towards me. Emdr is a great treatment for trauma. The Recovery groups are lead by an amazing team of experts. All the therapist, psychiatrist and more are at master level and above.
