She wasn’t just doing her job, she truly cared about us and made us feel like we were in the best hands possible during one of the most emotional and important moments of our lives. From the beginning, she was patient, reassuring, and incredibly supportive. There were moments when I the father was nervous, overwhelmed, and unsure of what to expect, but she always knew how to calm me down and make both Kasey and I feel comfortable. She checked on us constantly, listened to everything we had to say, and went above and beyond to make sure both mom and baby were taken care of, Kasey was craving dark chocolate candy and it’s the littlest things that matter as much as the biggest Desiree came through for us without even asking. Her heart is rare and we want to make sure she and others that worked the night of 09-04-2026 in the labor and delivery unit are recognized for there love and compassion. Having someone so compassionate by our side made such a difference. We will always remember the way she treated us, the education on mom breast feeding and encouragement she gave us, and the care she provided when we needed it most. Despite the illness, it was an incredibly positive experience. Dr. Michael Tornwall, the surgeon that performed my surgery, was calm, confident, and genuinely invested in my outcome from surgery through follow-up. My inpatient nurses Zakaria and Jen were superstars — attentive, warm, and caring to the point that it felt like family. But they weren’t outliers. Without exception, every person I encountered — dietitian, phlebotomist, radiology, surgical team, the rest of the nursing staff, recovery team, cleaning staff — all were kind and professional. Not one weak link. My room was spotless, quiet, and private. The cleanliness throughout was exceptional. My care was outstanding and I couldn't have asked for better treatment. We should all feel lucky to have such a great asset right here in our hometown. But the front office staff could use some customer service skills training. My daughters school therapist whom is for Logan Hocking middle school found a suicide note in her book bag. That therapist told us to come to this location and get her seen immediately. Instead of the office staff doing so. They sent us on what would be a 4 hour journey to Athens then the plains Hopewell health centers. Then it was their lunch break in the plains and we had to wait an hour until they would talk to me. Not even my daughter. I believe the ball was dropped for her. She was in a crisis and cause of the front office staff she is just now being seen today for her first appointment a MONTH later. She is 12 and her wanting to kill herself required immediate attention and they failed at getting her that help that she desperately needed. That day to say I was Angry was an understatment. This place has been very accommodating when my counselor is out sick by finding another counselor willing to do my 1 hour session. As a kid I was very picky about who I spoke to for counseling but I've enjoyed speaking with every counselor here! if you're a male who is thinking about starting methadone it most likely will cause hypogonadism also known as low testosterone levels. I was not told this when I started here and I went 3 years untreated. 2 years ago I found a urologist for peeing problems who performed a TURP surgery on me due to a narrow urethra. It was because of my follow up appointment that my urologist ordered multiple testosterone levels tests which were too low.
