For me and my family, the Latino Agency has turned out to be a great blessing. The resources they offer through their programs are undoubtedly highly recommended. Heads up, the main parking gate off NE 16th St, is under construction, you have to use McMechan Pkwy, the street right to the west of the gate and it will take you around the construction to the parking lots. Also be careful using the "clinic elevators" the construction guys on the 6th floor use the fire keys to override the elevators and normally there is a single elevator working, instead of the 4 there are supposed to be and they are slow. Normally it is faster to use the main elevators and walk. That and if you have an appointment on the 3rd floor, you can't use the clinic elevators anyways. Those people who complain about the OKC VA system ..... you need to go to Georgia, Alabama or California if you want to complain about VA service. Given the resources the staff have here, they do a wonderful job.

I was there in 2017 for about 4 months. I had previously been in 13 psych hospitals before this and none of them worked as good as this one. That was my very last hospital I ever went to and had stopped self harming from that place. Mrs. P and Tyron were my favorite staff members. They made me feel heard and listened to. Only missing one star was because of the food. Over all a great experience for me because I actually was made to feel like a person instead of a child with issues!

This was probably one of the best places I went to. I was really struggling with mental health issues and other problems and they really made me feel safe and validated. We got to see and visit our parents on the weekends and they had a vending machine so they could bring us snacks. Our parents could bring us bedding and shower products. We got to wear our own clothes and shoes. We had groups and lessons we did everyday and we're able to go outside most of time and play basketball. The food wasn't too bad and was mostly like school food and on holidays we got really good food and the staff would bring in the food they made which was really good. They really helped me when I was struggling and the staff and people I met along the way were so nice to me. They really outdid themselves and understood that we're just kids struggling and trying to better ourselves. I was able to go on pass and visit my family for a day outside of the place which was nice because I hadn't seen them in a long time. The groups and lessons they taught us really helped me be able to ground myself and cope a lot better than before. Ms. Mary really helped me with my issues and was able to get me out of there in a month. This place is one of the better mental hospitals and if your going to send your kid to one you should look at your options and this one would probably be the best choice to choose from.

I stayed here April 2nd, 2024 - April 9th, 2024, and I felt very safe here. ALL of the staff in my dorm (can't remember which one) were so kind and helpful and I miss them all. I can't remember most of their names, that period of time is very fuzzy for me, but Miss Arcadia was one of the staff I loved. The food wasn't bad, it was similar to school food. The beds are pretty uncomfy, but your guardian can bring in blankets and pillows from home for you. We got to go outside every other day or so, and we could sit in the clovers, or play with basketballs. The shower wasn't a very pleasant one, but it wasn't disgusting or uncomfortable. Only thing I didn't like was my therapist. He didn't do anything wrong necessarily, I just got weird vibes. I really miss the staff here. I hope I won't have to go back, but if I had to, I would feel safe.
