This place made a big difference for my child, and that is all that really matters to me. I will say, they could have HUGE improvements in parent involvement, parent education, and family therapy. At times, they seemed almost anti- parent, which seems to me to be a strange approach to recovery. My ex and I were left on completely different pages as to next steps for our child. They should take a note from Clementine which has great support for parents. But, my child is doing well, and I'm thankful.

Wanted to thank the staff and everyone who was in here at the same time as me. I didn't come here entirely on my own free will, but because I was kind of cornered into it by my therapist. And I wasn't happy about putting my life on hold to be here. But now I see why she really wanted me to go. I had no previous experience with programs like this and didn't know what to expect. And you can bet I doubted everything every step of the way. I still do in some areas. But the longer I was there, the more I saw a difference and realized why things are done the way they are. I got a lot out of the program in the relatively short time I was there and have seen a big difference in my eating and thinking. And also in my physical health and brain. My memory has really noticeably improved and so has how I feel physically. And I've felt so much calmer and happier compared to before I went in. Turns out eating consistently helps you not feel like you're in fight or flight all the time, who would have thought haha.

8 months ago today I entered the inpatient program at Fora Health, a day that started me on a path of self empowerment, self improvement and recovery. Fora Health did cure me, didn’t fix my problems, did get me clean and sober after 20+ years of being a crystal meth addict. What it did do was follow through on a promise to help me find a new way to live. They said from the get go that I needed to suit up, show up, listen, and learn some tools that they had to offer, but the rest was up to me. They offered a space and a platform for me to reinvent myself. To learn who I really was and find out who I was supposed to be. Was it easy? No. Was it worth it? 100% Yes! I’m clear minded today, I’m employable (and employed), I have confidence, I have something to offer the world. And I have more than I ever dreamed of. Am I done? No I’m just getting started. But because Fora Health gave a space to learn how to live without drugs and alcohol, I’m now able to make better choices, live a full life, and be of service to those that want the same thing.

I see all of these negative reviews about how bad the food is and how hard the beds are. What do you expect? Prison is not meant for comfort. It's a way of telling criminals to stop being criminals. I have been on methadone for 24 1/2 years, i have been there for over 3 years and have never had any problems, and all of me needs have been met! The ones who say how awful it was, why didn't you just go to another clinic....yes Harrison did his share of bulling! But if you were working your program, he left you alone. Most of the people who complained about him were from people who were still using # 1 rule never believe what you hear at a methadone Clinic! # 2 there was never any methadone missing #3 Harrison is no longer there he has been gone for 2 years or so! This clinic is very well ran, i would suggest that you investigate be for believing what you hear. Everyone of them will do whatever they can for you! A retired person often finds time on their hands. That was me. So, after seeing a hiring sign at NWMH for some time, I called and offered my services. I started in a home with 5 clients in a triplex. I learned medication administration, cooking for diet restricted individuals, learned how to de-escalate explosive situations, and be an all-around support person. From there, I graduated to a clerkship, answering phones, paying bills, reconciling accounts, and general office support. Eventually, I learned the ins and outs of open-enrollment during open season for insurance enrollment. Then hiring strategies and eventually the resolution of employment issues. All of this was a learning curve. I had the support of my clients, my fellow staff, my managers and upper level management. This is not to say that there weren't challenges: personalities; stresses and strains. But the reward of helping an under-served community far outweighed the challenges. I have read the negative reviews on this site. Some of them are valid; some of them are driven by reasons I don't fully understand. But I can say from my perspective, when asked to help, whether from staff or clients, I have tried to meet people where they are and assist them on where they want to go. I encourage you to check us out.
