I was facilitator for the Women's Chapel at this TC for many years. There were a lot of ladies, and I saw very few women repeat the program during that time. The success rate for complete recovery is amazing! I believe it is because of the Gospel. This crew is really amazing. They are always courteous despite my sometimes cruddy attitude. They really went the distance when my meds ran out. They advocated for me with my pharmacy to help me get my medication after a lapse which was my doing unfortunately. Bridgeway was amazing, my friend took me here after another 5 day black out after I had been sober for 33 days. The counselors & the rest of the staff here were amazing & incredibly helpful and understanding, then after talking with the counselors I decided to do residential treatment which was just as amazing. I’m doing outpatient treatment with them now & I’m coming up on 90 of sobriety on 7/31/25, life changing experience & im so greatful for this program.

I could not be more thankful for everyone at this detox center not only did they help me with my insurance to get me into the Detox they also worked tirelessly to get me into a residential treatment facility and succeeded. Can’t smoke is the only downside but the food was incredible every meal!

Absolutely good for nothing ! Even falsely reported to courts that I chose to stop attending treatment when they told me they wouldn't be able to let me continue group meetings due to their lack of progress. After no use for more than a year and clean ua given , inconclusive results of evaluation until 6 months later . After receiving a month in jail for not having treatment plan, it was reported I needed a year of treatment for "severe substance use and continued alcohol use."
In reality, I haven't drank alcohol for more than 5 years . Unprofessional management , that caused far more harm than good . Totally regret interacting with that facility.

I had an ABSOLUTELY POSITIVE AND EASY-GOING EXPERIENCE. Getting me started in the right program, working around my busy schedule and communicating all of my progress (on my behalf) with my P.O.- are just a few of the positive things that made my experience with Emergence, ‘Top Shelf’.

I'll admit, it's a tough program at times. But dealing with addiction is a tough problem. I've loathed staff members at times and felt victimized, singled out, abused even. But, when I look back on most of the situations that caused me stress and anger and frustration, it was almost always by my own doing in so.e way and the Emergence staff was just doing their job and holding me accountable. Because I lived my life deep in addiction for 30 years doing whatever I want whenever I want and if you got in the way of that then you might find yourself in serious trouble. But living like that (in a anti-social lifestyle) always got me a negative outcome. (IE jail, prison, etc) Don't get me wrong I love being in control of my life. I like to go where I want when I want and do what I want. But when I'm loaded I don't make the best choices and I needed as much help as possible to make better choices in the beginning of my recovery. Slowly over time I've gotten more say. Slowly but surely I've earned more trust from my family and the community. I feel that emergence was elected to be the main treatment program of the Lane county Adult treatment Court because they are tough and stern and downright frustrating at times. But it's only a short window of time in comparison to the rest of my life where I won't have anyone leaning on me to do this or that. Call this number turn in this homework present this module etc. So I get it when people want a bag on emergence and talk down on all the facilitators because it's a lot easier to blame others and circumstances then to take accountability and hold yourself responsible. And not every person has the same story as me. But, if I can recover literally anyone can. And I couldn't have done it without emergence. They have never given up on me even when I give up myself. They continue to encourage me and support me and hold me accountable when I act out of pocket. There isn't a single staff member there that I haven't bumped heads with and gone home after group and swore that I would never return. But you know what? Today I've learned to forgive myself and every single person who's ever wronged me in any way. And with all the growth and maturity that came along with toughing it out through this program I have come to realize that blaming other people doesn't make it any easier. And holding myself accountable does indeed make it harder sometimes. But at least at the end of the day my head is not full of resentment my heart is not full of hate. I'm so grateful for every single staff member that I've ever encountered an emergence and they do a kick ass job even if you can't stand them at times. It's not their job to cuddle you or hold your hand. But yet often times they do. They could be like a lot of treatment programs that just check boxes. But they don't. They go way above and beyond and they've helped me immensely to be a better father son friend and community member. So thank you emergence you guys are amazing and as long as you don't tell me what to do anymore we can still be friends lol. Just kidding. You guys rock and I'm so grateful that you never gave up on me and that you believed in me till I could believe in myself. My daughter my parents my boss my family all thank you. If it wouldn't have been for you guys I would surely be dead. Keep up the good work!

Deer Creek is amazing. I have known people who have gone there and turned their lives around. I tried to get my own child placed in their program, but his probation officer wasn't supportive. He is now in OYA corrections. I only wish that he was allowed to go to Deer Creek. The admissions director walked with me through a difficult process even through my child didn't go into the program.... offering me encouragement and support. I highly recommend this program.

Spoke with Dr. Jeffry Jacobs here at Peace Health Medical Group Behavioral Health Services. After years of seeking help for my son, this is the first doctor to hear my son, recognize several issues, and was able to get my child to be willing to talk with a doctor openly about his challenges. I could t be more happy to find a professional able to do this. Extremely professional. Wonderful, kind, helpful staff. One odd protocol was that we had to drive 3 hours to have a zoom appointment for the first appointment. Now my child can zoom from home with him. So grateful to have had this opportunity. I can't say enough regarding how great Dr. Jacobs & staff are. They have given us hope that my son may find a healing path. Absolutely thrilled with our experience. As an attorney of over two decades focusing on family law and criminal justice cases, I've worked on hundreds of case with various clients dealing with addiction and substance abuse issues. I recently had a very negative experience with Betty Ford Hazelden. They were far more difficult to work with than most other treatment provide I've worked with. If you are attending for holistic reasons and you don't need any proof of treatment or written evidence as to what you've done in treatment, the center might be fine. But to the extent that you might be court-ordered to attend treatment or you are collaborating with other counselors or professionals, my experience is that Betty Ford Hazelden doesn't provide basic access to key information. They are essentially a large bureaucracy, with little to no customer service. Very corporate. For example, when you call their 1-800 number, no one will likely answer, and you'll fall into phone tree or a voicemail abyss. Similarly, emails will go unresponded to for days-- if not weeks. There are smaller, more client/patient-centered treatment providers who I believe are a better fit for people interested in personal attention and service.
