I'm permanently disabled and would have lost my home for almost 9 years without assistance from Centro Latino Americano/ Plaza de Nuestro Comunidad. I've received assistance from many groups locally, and they are the *ONLY* group that has ever reached out to follow up and see how I was doing after receiving assistance, which means a lot to me.To anyone looking to help finance a charity, this is one group that should not be overlooked or underestimated. They act quickly, and do not waste time.I wish more people knew about this group and their work to help those in need. For the staff, thank you all so much for changing my life during a time when the odds were against me and I could have lost everything.(Apologies, my Spanish is amateur but I used Google translate)I have a permanent disability and would have lost my home, where I lived for almost 9 years, without the help of the Centro Latino Americano/Plaza de Nuestra Comunidad. Helpful, kind, and non judgemental people. They helped my family and I afford new housing when we were facing eviction, and gave us a head start. The lady working with us was very personable and treated us with real care and humanity. We later forwarded other people who were in a tight spot, and they had a wonderful experience as well.

Hillside Heights Rehabilitation Center, located in Eugene, Oregon is a private alcohol and drug rehab that offers treatment for a variety of substance abuse addictions. They offer residential care providing long term support for addiction recovery.
Recently, after a week-and-a-half hospital stay, my mother spent about two-and-a-half weeks here at Hillside. She was treated very well, very kindly, and very attentively. The staff were very friendly, communicative to her (and myself as her caregiver), and very good at their jobs. Our family has had nightmare rehab stories from other facilities with other family members, so we went in with a negative predisposition, but we were relieved and glad to have those expectations subverted.Highly recommended.

After withdrawing for 24 hours on my own I went to Bridgeway to detox off of fentanyl and meth. I only stayed for 3 days because that was as many as I felt I needed. My personal experience fantastic. Anytime I didn t feel well I was able to talk to staff and they would administer my own personal medication I brought in as well as the detox meds they have on hand. The food was amazing. To be able to have people specifically making you healthy food for 3 large meals a day and more if you want. Along with soup in between breakfast and lunch and a refrigerator full of milk and beverage machines in the kitchen. You re not forced to go to bed at a certain time you can watch movies all night or color and read. You can t have your cell phone with you so be prepared if that s a dealbreaker for you. Your not forced to participate in any groups or extracurricular activities like that if you don t want to. You can shower whenever you want as well as go outside. No smoking but they have nicotine gum and patches. I was there a few months ago but im still clean off of fentanyl and meth. Even with meds you re still gonna be uncomfortable to a certain extent. One of the nurses even sat and talked with me for a long time the first night I was there and couldn t sleep. My personal experience was nothing but positive and I would highly recommend it to anyone whose tired of being trapped in addiction.

I had an appointment yesterday at the Salem VA Clinic. I have Anxiety because of past experiences with the VA, so I wasn't looking forward to it at all. I was surprised at there being only a handful of patients in the waiting room. I thought that was a little odd. I've been part of the VA healthcare system for a while and Never have I seen a waiting room Empty... As soon as I gave my last name and digits I was ushered right into an Examination room. The nurse that took my vitals was Awesome and so was Dr. Salmon... Dr. Salmon is Very Personable and Informative. I Hope he stays with the VA. Other Veterans with Anxiety about their healthcare will benefit from Dr. Salmon's Care and Attention to Detail. I'm not looking forward to seeing him any time soon, but if I do have to go to the VA with an emergency situation, he's The Guy I want to see. I'm Sicilian,so we have Guys for this and that in the neighborhood. This is The Guy you want to see at the Salem VA Clinic.Thank You Dr Salmon and Your Staff for The Best Experience I've had at The VA... S.D. Majors
