Great place. Very recovery focused. I went to rainbow in highland park, the Brighton center in Brighton, and this place is a night and day difference from the trauma I endured from other centers. I actually had an issue with a former PRC and they actually let them go for not being professional. I Never felt like I mattered in a clinic before, but I do feel welcome here and get treated like a human being. Treyvon and Crystal are great counselors, I’m glad I got into this center. Thank you guys for what you do🫶🏼

I took one of my children here for therapy. They were having trouble managing their behaviors. To be honest I think that the therapy felt more for me than them. I felt so alone and at my wits end after dealing with it alone for so long. They saw Jason C. And he was so helpful and supportive. He made a genuine connection with my child and the behavior stopped gradually. I would recommend him to any parent who's child is struggling.

House of Commons Has a brand new, very clean interior, as well as Environment. The staff are very intellectually and affectionately invested in helping their residents with effective reasoning and tactical coping management skills. I was court ordered, however, I would recommend H.O.C. to anyone that's serious about their recovery and mental healing. The food is good and the environment is very relaxed and accommodating. The facility let's you smoke outside at leisure. And they treat you like a civilized human.

This place is great, getting sober is not easy or fun and the only issue I have personally witnessed is that yes; all of thier staff cannot be in recovery or understand us addicts but they truly have made a huge effort to adapt to this new age in which you can get into a rehab basically for free, get decent if not really good food(DFD) and have the chance to.btreak old bad habits etc. Im 39 and when I first tried to get sober at 18 or so it was incredibly difficult to find a rehab that didn't cost 40K. Jail or the streets were your option so remember that these people are getting paid very little yet choose to work here because most of them do care but there are thinhs called HIPPA laws etc and so that takes a toll on certain aspects of how they have to structure thier program. This place and ann arbor will keep you sober and help you recover for better or worse.

I appreciate all the loving staff at Brighton. This is the place you want to be, if you want to recover. It's clean, classes are phenomenal, nurses, doctors, therapists, milieu techs, med techs, environmental services, everyone is great. Aftercare here is also wonderful. Update: they are wonderful until you need them again. I called yesterday, they were suppose to call back. I haven't been there for 3yrs. I needed help. Today no response. Tried calling back, no response. I had been seeing a therapist after she quit there. She only had terrible things to say about the place that they weren't up to updated treatments. I just want to get better and I would hope they could help. I guess I'm wrong.

4/5 stars, but here's why. I was not an attendee, simply a support person for a friend who decided to cut his stay short, but here is what I can say from being a person limited on the outside. 1.) The amount of ability they give to allow for the family member to contact their loved ones is great! I was astounded by the high allowances of connection they give to those who are admitted. It's a huge plus, which is shocking but greatly appreciated. 2.) Every person there was kind but committed. I got the vibe that they were there to do a job, and do it well, but without being rude. I could tell there was compassion here for the people they take in. 3.) They have rules that are relatively strict, as is true of most rehab facilities. 4.) They were clean, and offered as many amenities as they could given that insurance covers those who stay there. It does feel hospital-ey, but it is owned by a hospital, so no real major un-expectations there. MY ONLY COMPLAINT: the heat and A/C in the building seems to be lacking. It seems the facility is well worn, and could use a re-up. It gets hot in there in the summertime, and I can imagine it would be difficult for me to sleep there. Apart from that, I have zero complaints. I feel this team of people did the best they could given the circumstances, and I appreciate their dedication to their jobs.

I had an excellent experience with Milford Counseling Center and highly recommend them, especially for anyone going through the driver’s license restoration process. Their substance use evaluation services were professional, thorough, and handled with genuine care and respect. Dave was outstanding to work with — knowledgeable, understanding, and easy to talk to throughout the entire process. He made what could have been a stressful experience feel comfortable and straightforward. Ally in the office was also the utmost outstanding. She was friendly, organized, responsive, and incredibly helpful with scheduling and answering questions. The entire staff treated me with professionalism and compassion from start to finish. If you need a substance use evaluation for license restoration in Michigan, this is definitely a place you can trust - not to mention their rate is substantially lower than other providers listed in the state’s directory. Skywood is a great place to start making a big change in your life. Very friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, EXCELLENT meals, and a BEAUTIFUL property. Comfortable is the word that comes to mind for my experience. The therapist lead process group sessions are very high impact and definetly the recovery related highlight. I am surprised at the near total lack of 12 step involvement in their inpatient program though voluntary peer lead 12 step meetings are available in the evenings.

Where to begin, after 20 years of heavy drinking with never a single thought of treatment, I decided it was time, I didnt know what to expect, what I DID know, is I was there to better myself, get sober and live my best life for myself, & my loved ones. I embraced every single moment and made it my mission. Both Amys, Steve, Karol, April, Suzie, Jake, Kelly, Emily, Jake, Jason, Ryan, Matthew, Stephanie, Jan (unfortunately no longer there) Katie, Sharon, Toby, Sara, Rob, Tim, Bailey, Kaily, Danielle, Shayna, Miranda, Both Laura's, together they believed in me, they respected me and what I was trying to accomplish because I respected them and what their purpose was in my recovery. I went in 4/4/26 broken, and on the verge of killing myself with alcohol, I left on 5/4/26 KNOWING I was going home to succeed in my sobriety and LIVE again. Thank you Skywood, I would recommend this program to select individuals who are serious about recovering from their personal nightmare

I have been going to this clinic on and off for over a decade( like a decade and a half to be honest.) I of course could say some pretty Horrible Things about some of the treatment i revived there in the past. (( half my fault half their fault to be fair lol)) I Also can say that i wouldn't be alive if it wasn't for this place!! I mean. I still don't like all the staff, but you're not going to every place you go. But for what's actually available in lansing this place Deserves more credit than it gets. Yeah, it might be a little understaffed at times, And with such an influx of people going there now. Sometimes there is it pretty annoying wait to dose but really we all know things could be way worse. By no means, am I saying that it's perfect, but i am saying that if u want it to work they will do everything to support you along the way. ◇Shout out◇ to ☆nurse-nikki☆ it really meant alot to me that u brought up doin the cows and told me my next up date..... Ive really been going through it lately and it was just the right amount of kindness and support i needed to hear the other day so thank you!!please dont stop hasling me about goin up and having my stupid box!!! Anywho ...I hope if you think ur to the point of needing help to quit doin dope you give this place a try b4 giving up.

I have nothing but good things to say about this place! I moved to Michigan from Florida last year and they've been able to accommodate every need I've had. I've been to other MAT clinics and as good as some have been nobody comes close to the atmosphere or care that is provided by AACTC.

Everything you need to succeed in recovery is offered here encouraged and drawn upon. It's hard to describe why Dawn Farm is so successful at what they do and how they do it because it is such a multi-layered program. Once you get "through" it, all the processes you go through, start to come together and make sense. Is it an easy program? NO... it wasn't easy and yet it was also, hands down, THE BEST thing i ever did for myself and many of the most eye opening experiences I've had were during my time there. Dawn Farm saved my life and I am still in touch with many of the women I went through this program with. Well I'm not proud to say that I've been to a few other recovery centers I really did not mind Oakdale. I thought the food was mostly good I enjoyed the staff and they really helped me get my life together. People have to make the most out of their recovery it's not up to the staff or the cooks or anyone to give you a comfortable life you have to realize your own issues and get through them. And for anyone who complains about the food it's much better than any other place I've been.

Provided this post on LinkedIn but wanted to also provide it here to those who don’t have social media …. I want to take a moment to recognize the team at the Battle Creek VA Medical Center. Over the past year I decided to start using the VA for my healthcare. Like many veterans, I had heard different stories over the years, but my personal experience has been outstanding. From the very first appointment the process was smooth and professional. I was called in at the exact time my appointment was scheduled. A nurse came in within a couple minutes and walked me through how the VA system works and the services available. Shortly after that my doctor came in, reviewed my medical history, and immediately started coordinating follow up care. I have had several knee surgeries over the years, so we scheduled MRIs to take a closer look. What really stood out was how efficient everything was even before the appointment. The VA had already scheduled my blood work and knee X rays. I walked into the Battle Creek facility, signed in for blood work, waited about three minutes, and the nurse took care of everything in less than ten minutes. Then I walked down the hall for my X rays. Again, the entire process took less than ten minutes. Professional, friendly, and very efficient. After my appointment they also scheduled a vision exam. That experience was just as smooth. Any medications I needed were mailed to my house within days, and my glasses arrived within a couple weeks. The entire experience has been excellent, and I truly appreciate the people who make it happen every day. The team at the Battle Creek VA has been fantastic. Veterans deserve great care, and my experience here has shown me that there are people working hard every day to deliver it.
