I had Destiny Mast as a counselor she helped pull me the rest of the way out of my shell. Also helped open my eyes to be a leader. I choose white deer because I know it capabilities. Go off your own experience not what people say. I'd choose it again if need be.

I've been meaning to write this for some time, but after reading some of the other reviews posted on here, decided I want to share my own experience. I have a family member who came here when that person was really struggling, not only with SA and sobriety, but with life in general while navigating a life of sobriety. I am purposefully keeping this person's identity ambiguous because this person doesn't wish to disclose their identity.
This person was very nervous and anxious to begin treatments anywhere and chose this clinic based on the reviews posted here. This person was matched with Cory for counseling. Cory has been absolutely amazing. He is incredibly easy to talk to, doesn't make my loved one feel the typical stigma that's attached to SA, and has become a mentor and trusted confidant. My loved one says that Cory doesn't JUST focus on SA and sobriety, he helps his clients with everyday life struggles, like issues that sometimes come up at the workplace, dealing with trauma like the death of close family members, troubles with traumas that occured in childhood, and traumas related to past he helps to treat the WHOLE PERSON, and and doesn't focus solely on the addiction issues. My loved one says that it's not just the medicine that helps an addict live a life in recovery. It's the counselor who helps the addict live a life free of SA. They say it's the combination of the two that's really helped them stay sober for several years now.
I know most people reading this are probably most concerned about dosing. So, it starts out with dosing at a certain MG based on the information given at intake, and probably COWS testing, etc. The lines are very short, if there's a line at all, and most of the nurses that dose are nice. I've been inside the clinic before, and it's very clean. There seems to be plenty of seating, and there's a TV in the waiting room. The bathrooms are exceptionally clean, but there is a camera in them, lol, I'm assuming that when the clients have to submit a UA.
You USED to start by dosing every day during the week and get a take-home for Sunday with your Saturday in-clinic dose. If you've followed the program by having clean UAs and getting in the minimum amount of counseling hours, you get one week of take-homes after around 6 months. If you continue to stay on the program, you get 2 weeks of take-homes after around 13 months. You get a month of take-homes after doing what you're supposed to for appx 26 months. However, thers a new director, and tbings are changing at the moment.
They can call you at any time the clinic is open to count your bottles and do a UA. If you've tampered with your bottles, lose one of your bottles, or failed a UA, there's obviously going to be consequences. I can't tell you exactly what they are, because my loved one has maintained sobriety!
The staff were all very friendly to me, with the exception of one lady, who I've been told is the new director. This has been the only individual who has EVER not been extremely warm and friendly to me. She seemed like she didn't want to be there or something, Im not really sure. My loved one says that she has started implementing new rules that, to me, seem to discourage new clients to choose this clinic and may drive current clients to other clinics.
I dont know exactly what else she has in store for clients in upcoming months, but it seems that she's going to make things a bit more challenging for new and current clients, which really sucks, for lack of better words. This clinic, and counselors like Cory, are the main reason my loved one has been able to remain sober this long, and we fear that things are going to change in a negative way. So, while we recommend this clinic to anyone struggling, I'll be sure to update this review in a couple of months to see if this new director makes changes that lower the star rating.
I really really recommend this place- as far as counselors, I obviously recommend Cory, but I know that Julie and Sarah are also really good people. Good luck in your recovery!!!

I've dosed at clinics across the country and of 10 different clinics i can honestly say these folks have treated me very well and the biggest thing was I've yet to stand in line for hours on end . And I read these comments and the only people that have negative things to say about them is the people who got discharged....just sayn.

I felt compelled to write this review because of the wonderful care my 88 years old father has received. The respect, kindness and concern displayed by every one of the Doctors, nurses and personnel we have encountered is absolutely amazing. While they are too numerous to mention, I particularly wanted to give special gratitude to our home care nurse, Vinnie…my father just adores her and she is amazing. I also wanted to express my appreciation to Lorett, who tended to my father’s wounds yesterday. Lorett was incredible and so kind. Likewise were the doctor, Rachel and the staff in the emergency area.
In closing, I want to state that this VA hospital and all associated medical providers and staff should be recognized for its/their high degree of standard, but more importantly for the compassion and respect displayed to our Veterans. Thank you and happy holidays.

Today I helped a Vietnam era veteran. Remember as a veteran sometimes we struggle. When you see a service person in need of help, do what the Lord installed in your heart love of one another.
The gentleman was in need. I would encourage anyone whether you're a veteran or not. Help the elderly.
My suggestion would be to take an index card and put the person's first name only, last four if you're a veteran and POC. Place this in a plastic bag and safety pin it to the person in some form or fashion.
This would eliminate hours of wasted time helping people to connect with loved ones.
Let them know the Lord brought you to them out of love because he first loved us.
One other advice if you're helping someone and you have to walk away give them something of yours to assure them you will return. A small act of kindness goes a long way.
The Lord sees all and never forgets. Lose the attitude of someone not being your race. When you served you should NEVER see race. Remember that.

I attended twice, Great facility, however I’m on my wife’s UHC plan through her employer,not Medicare. No problem with insurance the first time I went, however (going the 2nd time) they are trying to say I’m on Medicare. I called UHC and nothing has changed in my coverage. Trying to charge me 15,000. What’s going on? Also once there ,they) Siver Pines) wanted out of pocket money(cash,Cc card) they never asked for that upfront either time. They even checked recorded call. My experience at Silver Pines is second to none, speaking from a wide variety of rehabs. The community became like family to me. The therapy sessions and the groups were highly engaging. Many of the counselors took time to help me evolve and keep me hanging in when things got really tough.

I came to Silver Pines in a very bad mental state. I never thought I would ever see myself in a situation like this, but I am so thankful I went to Silver Pines. Being around others who were struggling and forming bonds and getting to know the staff was incredibly helpful. I was quite isolated in a lot of ways before I went and I feel like I can pick myself up now and take more control over my life. The groups, especially process groups, were very helpful and cathartic. Staff was also very understanding and encouraging. I want to thank Alisha, Doug, Deidre, Cat, Eddy, and many others (that I can't remember at this very moment, you were all fantastic though!) for all the support. The behavioral health techs were also fantastic. Of the BHT's, Tim really helped me to open up and he helped me immensely when I was getting familiar with the place and nervous in my first few days. When dealing with people who are struggling, that type of compassion is important and he really made the difference for me. Thank you again.

I was on the psych unit for a few days and the staff was always attentive and compassionate with me while I was struggling. The one staff member, Logan, gave a really great group about depression and he helped me feel comforted when I was feeling really bad about certain things. Alex helped me feel understood and I could relate to him, he never made me feel like I was left out or awkward. I didn't get the other two RN's names (horrible memory) but they always came in a pair and whenever I saw them, I instantly felt at home and relaxed. Incredible staff who genuinely care about what you're struggling with and help with accomodations for your needs. (The one RN gave me fidget toys because I needed a distraction and they're still in my pocket everywhere I go) Thank you so much to the amazing staff and doctors who treated me while I was there, every single person on the 5th floor unit was incredible in their own ways, extremely grateful I got to work with such a terrific team!

My father was in the ICU this past February. The staff was great! Our nurse, Dan, was so kind and helpful. He even comforted me when I broke down when we finally made the decision to take dad off life support. It's not often you find a staff member that cares as much as he did. His kindness was much appreciated. The doctor was very informative and explained my father's condition in terms we could understand to help us make decisions about his care. While dad was in the ICU, his wife was also admitted on the 7 tn floor, she has dementia and dad was her care giver. So they took care of her while we tried to figure out where she could go after dad passed. My 95yo grandmother was also admitted at the same time on the 6th floor. Every staff member we dealt with was amazing. From the nurses to doctors to the clergy. When my dad passed they didn't rush us out. Let us take our time to say goodbye and grieve. That was so appreciated. Highly recommend this hospital.

Best rehab I’ve ever been too….all the techs there are great second and third shift and most of them are in recovery… there were many times I felt like I wasn’t going to make it when I left there and couldn’t sleep at night and tech Michaela on 3rd shift was always super helpful sharing her story with people…. I was able to relate to her so much because we have all been through similar things and I appreciate her talking to me all night and helping me whenever I needed it she really goes out of her way and isn’t there just for the money!! It really helped me stay sober shout out to Michaela!! Best tech on night shift

The staff and place are equally beautiful. The good hearted people always checked on my personal needs multiple times a day. The staff becomes your family. A staff member named Eric one night at 3am talked with me telling me his inspirational story and it helped me to feel better and keep going myself. The food is always good. Friday is all you can eat wings!!! This place helped me to love myself and recover who I am as a man not just from addiction. Very impressed and surprised because there are some bad reviews when every team member I meet was extremely caring and understanding of everyone's personal situations. They really care about you getting better and will help give you the tools and motivation to get there. I started in the intensive outpatient program which was important to my recovery in that it gave me a regular schedule and it felt good to get in that rhythm and everyone I meet in that class was respectful to each other we learned and had a good time. I recently moved out onto the regular outpatient and continue to meet new people who all share the same difficulties in life and openly share their stories and perspectives to identify our triggers and in my case: bad life traps and bad coping styles that lead to my addiction. We also are taught how to avoid the pit falls of addiction the through healthy coping mechanisms. They also started a new incentive program that awards healthy recovery based activities. Because of this program and the programs they provided me with outside of Guardenzia I was able to change my mindset and come to a place where I can finally admit to myself of my past addiction and admit to myself I cannot ever drink again and I'm grateful to them for getting me to this place where I can finally accept that.

This place actually wants to help people do good with their lives. They actually care about the people and everyone there is really nice.. They actually listen to you and make you comfortable as possible and they try to help set a goal plan for your life. They will help get you through on what you need to do.. Amazing!!! Helpful and caring!!! There’s nothing bad here nothing!! I can’t tell you how wonderful it is and refreshing!!! I have been on methadone 4 years and had to relocate back to central Pa and when I made arrangements with my old clinic at ARS, they tried to literally kill me!!! When I moved my entire life and had it all switched so I thought until!!! I get there and then they say oh your insurance is for another county do until you switch it we cannot help you!!! And left me sitting in the room alone!! Just not even care or bothering with me!!! They make ppl want to relapse why bother when you don’t care this much but I rememenrr beinf told Mechanicsburg ctc does same day so w only 32 mins left I rushed over to here and the world of diff of care, wanting to help!!! Willing to work with you as anyone knows even if you have no insurance the state of pa will pay up to 90 days back bills so they got all my paperwork and my dosing
That day and let me dose and set me up!!! I cannot tell you how as I say defeated in the other clinic defeated crying hysterically I saw my entire sobriety flash and about to be gone before my eyes!! I went from homeless, destitute, a person no one saw as worthy to a career in retail management, built myself to a respectable person agian that also helps others in recovery with at least that first step and now use my career to help give a job to those otherowise others look over!!

Bold Steps BH has been absolutely wonderful since my husband left another inpatient rehab. They left us tour and meet everyone. Explained what a ‘normal’ every day would look like. They don’t sugar coat anything and if you come there- they do NOT treat you like a prisoner and hold you accountable- per my husband who is the patient.
The experience from Bold Steps vs the last place is night & day different.
Thank you Bold Steps for taking such good care of my husband and holding him accountable and teaching him new healthier habits!

My 4yr old daughter and myself lived in fountain springs for 6months and I truly believe that without the lady's who run the facility i would have lost my daughter to cys. My daughter’s therapy got discharged. I spoke with Michelle and Katelin and they got it squared away when it wasn’t supposed to be a discharge and got her right back in with her therapist. Michelle is also so friendly and helpful. I had my 18m old with me and she accommodated to his needs so he would sit still during a session. This program saved my life. The staff here is amazing especially the counselors. I highly recommend it. Most inpatient recovery places are strictly after 1 thing but not here.
