I felt a little hesitant coming to ADCARE because of the distance from where I lived in NY, but upon Arrival I was greeted by very nice staff members who got me situated and taken care of. First thing in the morning I had a very powerful experience of meeting with the case worker Scott I was assigned. He gave me the rundown of the treatment center, and suggested I make the most of the program. I even felt like I knew him, he was a very kind and caring man. He helped me along the way and set me up with my clinician Meg who was also a huge help during my stay. She is truly an amazing PCP who always takes the time to answer any questions and listen carefully to concerns. Every time I have an issue with my health, she makes sure I get the help I need. She consistently refers me to the right specialists who can properly address my problems, and she prescribes the best medications for whatever condition I’m dealing with. Amanda always points me in the right direction and works hard to make sure all of my health concerns are taken care of. She goes above and beyond in her job, and every appointment with her is a great experience. I feel confident and well cared for under her treatment. Going on 7 years. you can complain about the staff and whatever other excuses u want but it comes down to either you want to get better and will do anything you can to do that or your probably going to use or drink again. parents this place didn't fail your child your child didn't do the work but don't give up it took me 15 years in and out 154 detoxes endless sober houses two times dying to finally be willing to do whatever it took to stay sober.
