Compassion Recovery Centers has been such a great resource for outpatient care in California. Their online IOP and PHP programs are incredibly flexible and make it possible to get real support without having to put life completely on hold. It’s also one of the few programs I’ve found that accepts Anthem and Tricare, which is a huge plus since so many places don’t.🏥✨ The staff here are truly compassionate, professional, and supportive. They offer a well-rounded mix of evidence-based therapies and holistic care, and they really take the time to meet clients where they are. I also appreciate that they’re accredited and insurance-friendly, which makes the whole process much easier. If you’re looking for quality outpatient treatment with caring people who understand the challenges of recovery, I highly recommend Compassion Recovery Centers. 💯👏

Best IOP center in Orange County for a reason. Compassion made recovery possible for me—without stepping into a facility. Their virtual care was personal, flexible, and truly supportive. They saw me as a whole person, not just a patient. Can’t thank them enough.

Trying to get quality treating for my eating disorder and mental health issues has been extremely frustrating before finding this facility. I have been more benefited in two days than I was in two months at a previous “treatment facility.” My admissions representative Aljan has been prompt, thorough, professional & most importantly TRUSTWORTHY. It wasn’t a bait and switch. I was given a realistic expectation of what would be offered. Truthfully, it is better than expected. I like the caring doctor, small intimate groups and the focus on overall health, not just one aspect of a being. Plus, the staff are well-educated, professional and qualified (sounds like a given; but, you’d be surprised). I almost gave up hope for finding quality care close to home. This has been the brightest light at the end of the tunnel, complete with meditation, art therapy, and more. I’m a therapist myself; so, I don’t say all of this without knowing what quality care should look like. 😚😚😚

Pacific Solstice truly changed our lives! My husband went for substance abuse treatment, and the counselors were nothing short of amazing. They were supportive, compassionate, and really knew how to connect with both of us. We had the pleasure of working with Britten. She was profession and very sensitive to our needs. She knew so much about addiction. We are super grateful to her. Thanks to their incredible care, my husband is doing great — and they helped save our marriage too! We’re forever grateful for the heart and dedication of the Pacific Solstice team.

The facilitator were excellent. Of course there are always things to complain about but overall it was a good experience. I lov Carmen the tech, Drew the tech. I liked 95% of the staff. I am deeply grateful for Bryan the CEO for giving me the opportunity to receive help for 26 days although there was a mistake with my insurance . They could have thrown me out but they didn’t.Believe me I tried to get out but they would not let me leave. They knew I wasn’t ready. I am also grateful for Brian the person that calls me almost every week. Without him and the program I don’t I ever would have been able to throw in the towel. He listened to me cry every week after I was released. After release I found it had to stay clean. Not because of the program, because I did not want to do what I was told. I hung on to him until I was ready. I am clean today. I am deeply grateful for all of the love and support I received. Some of us need that love and support from others to get clean and stay clean. I really think Brian wrote me off he got tired of me. I just want him to know I am clean.

I am relatively new to this place, having been here for less than a year. However, I must say, every single experience I’ve had so far has been exceptional. From the friendly and professional staff to the knowledgeable and attentive doctors, the care has been outstanding. The doctor I see is fantastic—thorough, patient, and detail-oriented. They take the time to review everything carefully and explain things clearly, offering thoughtful recommendations for next steps. I always leave appointments feeling confident in the care I’m receiving. Before coming here, I had heard mixed reviews about the VA, but my personal experience has been nothing short of impressive. From day one, I’ve been met with a high standard of service that exceeds expectations. Additionally, the facility itself is incredible—it looks brand new and is always pristine. The environment is clean, well-organized, and inviting, which adds to the overall positive experience. Overall, I’m incredibly satisfied with the treatment I’ve received. The combination of excellent doctors, skilled staff, and a top-notch facility makes this place truly stand out.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Exceptional Care, Life-Changing Experience at Asana Recovery My journey with Asana Recovery has been nothing short of transformational. Walking through their doors, I wasn’t just another patient entering a treatment center—I was a person in need of compassion, structure, and genuine guidance. From the very beginning, the team at Asana made me feel seen, heard, and supported in a way that very few treatment centers truly deliver. After just two months in recovery, I was given the incredible opportunity to become a house manager, which was a breathtaking experience. Not only did it deepen my recovery, but it allowed me to support others walking the same path. That chance to step into responsibility and service was life-changing, and it’s something I will always carry with me. What sets Asana apart is the people. Jonathan and Linda, in particular, are shining examples of what makes this place extraordinary. Jonathan’s ability to connect with individuals on a deeply human level created a sense of trust that allowed me to open up and truly engage in the process. His wisdom, steadiness, and encouragement gave me tools that I will carry for the rest of my life. Linda’s presence is like a beacon—warm, nurturing, and absolutely unshakable. Her kindness and dedication went far beyond a “job”; it was clear she cares about every single person who comes through Asana’s program as if they were family. And it isn’t just them—the entire Asana team embodies that same commitment. Whether it was the counselors guiding me through difficult conversations, the medical staff ensuring I was safe and cared for, or the support staff who brought positivity into every interaction, each person played an important role in making recovery feel possible. They created an environment that blended professionalism with heart, where structure and accountability were balanced with compassion and encouragement. I’ve been to other facilities and spoken with countless people who have gone through recovery in different settings, and I can say without hesitation that Asana stands in a class of its own. Their approach is holistic, their community is genuine, and their impact is lasting. To anyone considering Asana Recovery—whether for yourself or a loved one—know this: you will not just find treatment here; you will find hope, healing, and a family that will walk alongside you every step of the way. I am deeply grateful to Jonathan, Linda, and the entire Asana Recovery team for helping me reclaim my life.

Tree House Recovery has proven to be a lifesaver for my son. My son had been using heroin for about 10 years, and his life was looking bleak. My family and I decided to step in and look for a rehab he couldn't Uber home from. We live in the east, and Tree House is in California. We liked the fact that it was a 5 month program, too. Matt was our first person of contact. He made us feel like we were no longer alone. He was always there to guide us. My son was in a detox here which wasn't going as planned, and Matt wanted to get him to a detox in CA that he trusted. To get my son from the east coast to the west coast was challenging. He missed his first flight because he needed to buy heroin, not wanting to be in pain. We were able to get him on another flight that day, and Matt had someone waiting for him at the airport. It was a harrowing day, but Matt took care of all of the logistics and planning. My son is now on the road to recovery. He actually likes the program, and after a few months, he is doing well. I worry less about him now that he is in the care of Tree House Recovery.

I’m sharing my experience about someone close to me who completed Tree House Recovery’s five-month program in Costa Mesa through the partial hospitalization track. From the start, Adam and Matt showed up with care, heart, and a steady light. My experience with the team was a blessing. The way they came together to support my friend—even at the very beginning—held nothing short of compassion and love. It was truly something special. Tree House is a brotherhood. It goes deep and focuses on giving a real experience - not a curated, perfect, or cookie-cutter one. It gives the people who go through it the strength to stand up and get through real life when they leave. It highlights your strength, gives you the structure to build it into who you are, and keeps reminding you of it. They provide tools, support, and, beyond that, an environment where learning happens, beliefs are tested and strengthened, and new identities are allowed take root. It's physiology and psychology, forged together. And if you’re asking the question, “Does it last?”; In my experience, it grows. It takes the reins and leads. Even as someone standing on the sidelines, I haven’t just learned from this journey—I’ve been inspired by the person who walked it. This program isn’t a finish line; it’s a whole new game, a wider foundation—something that keeps inviting you to become more of who you are. And it is literally a life-saver. I’m grateful for Tree House Recovery—and especially for Adam and Matt—for showing up and lighting the way. If you’re ready to believe that change is worth it, take the first step. They’ll have your back for the rest.

Treehouse Recovery and the staff members are all really great people that care about your sobriety as much as they care about their own and take the role of guiding you into the right direction very seriously. Being apart of this program as changed my life for the better and I found not only a sense of happiness I have never felt before but I also found a sense of purpose and a strong brotherhood within this community of guys I went through this experience with. My outlook on life has completely changed for the better and I open my eyes in the morning thanking God I have another day to be the best person I could be. I am able to face challenges head on and be able to tackle them down without the thought of escaping reality and picking up that bottle. This experience I went through with the people I could now call lifelong friends with has been one of the best chapters of my journey I've been through so far. The good, the bad, the ugly; it was all worth wild. Thank you Justin, Vechi, Matt and everyone involved that saved my life! This book isn’t over yet. Let’s see where this new version of myself takes me.

I cannot say enough good things about Windward Way! I had reached a point in my addiction where I was headed down a slippery slope toward losing it all. Through my higher power, my family was able to see I needed help and helped me get in touch with Windward Way. From the moment I walked into Campus to this very day, I have felt nothing but love and encouragement. I didn't know anything about Rehab or treatment centers, but from talking to others they can be vastly different. Many putting profits and business over people and healing. Not Windward. Every person who works there truly cares about you as a person and how they can best help you in your journey. I felt heard and cared for. My case worker Jeri is top notch. Helpful, knowledgeable and most of all loving. There are too many techs to mention by name but each one was on par. The groups led by the facilitators were so helpful. Each facilitator brought a different style. Ken and his love for the big book, Kelly and her love of teaching us through art and inner peace, Chad and his ability to tell a story or set up a learning environment that draws you in intellectually. Tony is exceptional in just chopping it up, but always ensuring we left with a valuable tool. Otis and his ability to understand everyone in the room even given our vast age differences. Gerald and his desire to keep us involved in after care. My house manager Monica for truly listening to each housemates concerns, and I cannot forget my therapist Christina for all the insight she gave me into why I am they way I am. And last but not least the drivers. They each had a way of just listening to our chatter and somehow still teaching us skills and showing us care. I could go on all day! Love you Windward!

When I first arrived at this sober living, I didn’t know what to expect. I was nervous, broken down, and unsure if this was going to be just another stop in a long cycle. But right away, I noticed how different it felt—welcoming, warm, and safe. 2. Staff Support The staff didn’t just “do their job.” They listened. They looked me in the eye. They remembered my name. From day one, I felt like I mattered—not just as a resident, but as a person with a future worth fighting for. 3. Daily Life Structure The structure was exactly what I needed. Morning routines, group check-ins, chores, and accountability kept me grounded. At first, I resisted the schedule, but over time I realized that the rhythm gave me stability and peace. 4. Community Living with others who were on the same path made a huge difference. Instead of feeling alone, I felt supported. We celebrated victories together, and when setbacks happened, we lifted each other up. It wasn’t just a house—it became a family.

I can't say enough positive things about Oceans Recovery and their incredible team. When I arrived, I was broken and didn't know if recovery was even possible for me. The professional staff didn't just help me get sober – they taught me HOW to stay sober, which has made all the difference. The clinical team took time to understand my individual struggles and worked with me to develop real, practical tools I still use every day. They didn't just focus on stopping the substance use; they helped me understand the underlying issues and gave me healthy coping mechanisms that actually work. One of the most powerful aspects of my time at Oceans was the emphasis on fellowship and building a network of support. I connected with an amazing group of men who were all committed to recovery, and those relationships have been invaluable. We continue to support each other long after treatment, and knowing I'm not alone in this journey has been crucial to my success. Perhaps the most meaningful outcome has been the restoration of my family relationships. The damage I caused during my addiction felt irreparable, but through the work I did at Oceans, I've been able to rebuild trust and reconnect with the people who matter most. My family has their son/father back, and that's priceless. If you or someone you love is struggling with addiction, I highly recommend Oceans Recovery. They gave me my life back, and I'm forever grateful.

I am now alumni of ATR and I can say if I would have gone through a program like this I would have gotten sober a lot sooner. It not only brought me long term sobriety but helped me discover myself and get connected back to life. Thank you to Amy and the rest of the team for being so transparent with me. I love you and thank you for this program.

Anchored Tides is the place for you if you are considering changing you current status with addiction. Thanks to the committed and passionate owners/staff, I now have a completely different life today! I was accepted into this program during the worst time of my life, and they above and beyond to help me repair and regain things that had been lost in my addiction such as HOPE. I'm very grateful for the experience I had with these women and will forever miss them. Consider yourself very lucky to be a part of ATR as the women that go through this program come out on top. I witnessed this through my own experience as well as 6 others that graduated before and after myself! Sobriety is one thing, but having a new outlook on life as you once knew it is another! Eternally grateful to Amy, Becca, Becca White, Hillary, Tanya, Sierra, Ariel, and last but not least MARKIE! I had never been to a treatment program before, and it wasn't easy for me at first, but turned out to actually be a very beautiful time in my life!!! Thanks Team! 😊

South Shores Recovery is a dual-diagnosis drug rehab and substance use treatment facility in Dana Point, California. They serve adult men and women with detox and outpatient programs.. The treatment center creates a trauma-informed individualized curriculum for every client, comprising conventional, evidence-based treatments like cognitive behavior
Get ready folks, because this is going to be a novel. I have that many good things to say. This is my one and only time in a treatment center. South Shores Recovery is a blessed, incredible experience from start to finish. They coordinate everything from your arrival to your exit, checking on you every step of the way. From the moment you arrive you are met with care and compassion. They do everything they can to make you comfortable and feel safe as you detox and in your surroundings, that includes when you move to another house after you get settled from your week of detox. The staff from in-take to techs to case managers and therapist genuinely care and take care of you at every turn. It felt more like friends than staff and guest- a quick shout out to all those that I got the pleasure to meet. They are truly wonderful and so very appreciated. They keep you fed and full of snacks as you ride the road of recovery while also keeping you busy with group during the week and nightly meetings ranging from AA, CA (Cocaine Anonymous)to NA (Narcotics Anonymous). The weekly group sessions are different every day and include things like yoga, sound therapy, meditation, harp, trips to the gym and outdoor activities like surfing. Saturdays have a fun activity like kayaking, bowling or going to the movies. While Sundays involve a weekly trip to Target and the option of going to church in the morning. This keeps the entire experience beneficial to the mind, body and soul. This recovery center is not just for alcoholics but for any addict that makes the brave decision to get better and work toward the life they deserve. This was the best decision I have ever made, aside from marrying my husband. If you are apprehensive or concerned about taking this first step, please take my advice and consider... this can't hurt, it can only help and that is exactly what the amazing humans at South Shores Recovery strive and are meant to do.

I cannot begin to express the depth of my gratitude for this place and the incredible staff who make it what it is. From the moment you walk in, you’re welcomed with open arms and immediately made to feel safe, comfortable, and understood. The staff are not only knowledgeable, but also genuinely compassionate—always willing to listen, laugh with you, and stand by your side during the times you need support the most. The groups are thoughtfully designed and different every single day, which keeps you fully engaged and allows you to explore so many meaningful areas of life. Discussions cover everything from addiction, mental health, and spirituality, to family, relationships, and childhood experiences. Each topic is approached with honesty, care, and encouragement, creating an environment where healing and growth feel possible. This is far more than just a program—it’s a community, a safe haven, and a place where you can rediscover yourself while being supported every step of the way. I could not recommend it highly enough to anyone seeking real change and genuine connection.

Best recovery experience ever! This is my second time in rehab and South Shores really works on your mind, body and soul. I am 18 days sober. I feel amazing! Detox was great and I came off the detox meds early. The staff is nothing short of amazing. They support you and your recovery every step of the way. The food might be my only complaint. I love the variety of meetings. I’m an alcoholic but not everyone here is an alcoholic so we went to other meetings so that everyone could experience something specific for their addiction. I love this place.

It had been a few years since my last treatment center stay as I had completely distanced myself from anything recovery related. I went down a real dark self isolated path of self-will run riot as I tried every which way to do it own my own self will and after being in 37 treatments prior to coming to California Wellness Center I felt as if I was a lost cause. After 12 long years of suffering and digging so deep, I couldn't even find an ounce of happiness to celebrate my own 31st birthday on March 12th of this year and after spending the entire month up untill my birthday completelt isolated alone in my APT in Phoenix,AZ I became very suicidal and started strongly considering taking my own life and just ending it all I had no desire to continue down the life I was living and somewhere in that moment of desperation on March 13th at 3AM I spend the next few hours crying out to my "Higher Power "God" to give me the strength to ask for help and he did I reached out to the "Owner Will" and finally dropped the ego I had held onto for all the years of my addiction and asked for help and that very night he had me on a call with a lady named "Keelen" Admissions might not be pronouncing that correctly and I barely remember the phone call I was completely out out of my mind but they were still willing to give me a shot and she helped me all the way through to getting to the airport to me completely blacked out at the airport missing my first flight to getting me on the next flight after out and constantly calling checking in to make sure I made it there safely as well retrieving all my luggage which I had lost during that process. Upon arrival, there I was picked up by "Liam," who made sure I got to the center safely and was there every day checking in, making sure I was OK! this is an individualized treatment program, and it was exactly what I needed to finally start unraveling the many years of pain and suffering addiction had caused. From all the staff "Matt" the therapist who was there 5 days a week, helped me finally dive into a lot of the many different issues I struggled with to face them head on he didn't push but when it came time he was there when I was ready to finally let go and let others guide me and I'll be forever thankfull for that, the Nurses "Mary" and "Stephanie" were the absolute best of the best and helped on many of the rough days I had to face while there to!! And the case manager "Jason" as well the techs from "Eddy" Kelsy" "Casey" "Jack" were the best as well and all played a big role for me still being alive and well today!! If you're thinking you don't deserve this, you do we all do, and this center and all the staff helped me realize my true value, love, and purpose for myself again and helped pull me from the very deep grave I had been digging for so long and finally accepting that I am truly powerless over my addiction but there is a way out if I am willing to drop my pride and ego and accept the help others offer so with that I'll be forever gratefull to all of you im still alive because of the part each of yall played during my stay there I finally feel like this life of sobriety is not just possible but worth more than any day of the pain a suffering caused by addiction so give yourself a chance your worth it and this place will help you get to that place. Much Love From The Bottom of my heart Parker Richard. God Bless
