MCCA mcdonough was my 4th rehab and probably my last chance to get sober. It was the best place for me to come to in the state I was in and honestly Jenni, Heather, and Michelle are THE best counselors I’ve ever met and worked with out of all the rehabs I’ve been to. They believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself. And they all go above and beyond to help any client with whatever they can. They are the reason I have remained so connected to the program, as well as helping me get back on my feet and in sober living and building a community and network in recovery. I have seen some positive reviews here but I’ve also seen some negative, and it’s a shame those people didn’t have the experience I did because these counselors not only saved my life but they have changed it and me for the better. I don’t know where I would be right now without their help, guidance, and assistance, and I fully plan on doing everything in my power to stay clean so I can come back one day, share my story for their groups to show that recovery is possible, the program works, and if you allow these amazingly generous women to help you that you too can have a life beyond your wildest dreams.

I was so lost and giving up on life and a few good suggestions brought me here. Everyone from the friar in charge of the inn to security and maintenance made me feel welcome. The counselors are the best I’ve ever dealt with. My counselor was amazing, the physco therapist helped me realize things on my own and a former resident who is now staff related to my issues making me comfortable with the process. That guy was a godsend. These people helped me with my addiction issues more in 6 months then I’ve been able to do over the last 30 years. I now have hope and a blueprint that I follow to live a life in recovery. I could never thank them enough

This place completely saved my life, it taught me a new way to live and that I am a man, worthy of love and respect. Since there, in 2017, I had one slip up about a year after I graduated, but that was almost 8 years ago now. Since then, I went to welding school, they set me up in a halfway house in NYC, moved back home to Rochester, NY. I have worked in the welding industry and slowly worked my way to where now I run a million dollar welding training program and I try pass along the same message I learned there. Is the place . If it was forced upon you or just not ready then may be the place but it may take you more than 1 attempt . In the beginning it’s about reducing amount of your intake substance as you increase amount of medication. That amount and that pace is unique to the individual and CCC recognizes that and also respects that . As long as you trend in proper direction and continue to show progress you have the support of your Counselor. Once stabilized they develop your treatment plan. When you have decreased and eliminated substances and have found a comfortable level of medication dosage that is when you now replaced your bad habit routine with a daily monitored stabilized routine that also is unique to the comfort level of individual discussing a wide range of topics with your assigned counselor: once trust is earned having clean random monthly tests you don’t have to be at the facility unless you chose to and you can begin to take home monitored medication to responsibly proceed with your outpatient program. Your counselor will encourage the timing the is best to decrease at the pace that works for you until you are done and substance free. So much better than 30 day, 90 day ,12 month 0r any predetermined length of time programs because every person is unique whether they feel confident they can do it in a year, 3 yrs, 5 , 10 or stay with this support system as a new part of life what is important is that new life is what you WANTED to achieve and join the team of success stories! In most other reviews I agree that it is about money for the center , but what business , paying their employees ,is not about making money to stay afloat? Also not all counselors are ex addicts that have felt & know exactly what & how we feel, but we can open up & let them learn about the uncontrollable disease & struggles of how our mind works!

Hospital scam!! In July this year my wife and I had an emergency visit, my wife is pregnant and she was bleeding, we thought we were losing our baby, I had an accident where I couldn't bend my knee due to a fall and I thought a muscle or tendon broke. Later we received our bills expecting to pay according to our benefits of coverage through insurance, now we have $4k bills because they coded our visit as outpatient hospital for the establishment but the provider, the tests we had done and medicine was coded as emergency. Mixed charges on both of our bills, billing dept refuses to assist stating since we weren't admitted, was not considered "emergency", so why we have mixed charges again, is one or the other. Please review your bills, pretty sure we're not the only ones.

I go to therapy here and look forward to going. There's nothing difficult about going or making appointments. I was recently really impressed and shocked to be honest, to have been given a Christmas card with a gift card to Kohl's for the holidays. I wasn't expecting that and I think it is really nice of them do to do that when they certainly don't have to and i doubt any other similar places do that.

Step UP Inn in CT involved in misleading practices- This sober house my daughter moved into after a detox program did not disclose information regarding the financial obligation to the family. They told the family it was a standard agreement, no lease, one month's rent, one month's security deposit of $1,000 each. When my daughter relapse after 4 days and I asked for the security deposit back, that is when they told me they had my daughter sign a 60 day commitment. When I tried to contact the owners to refund the security deposit, they would not return my calls or letter of intent to take the issue to small claims court. It has been since November and I have not heard back from the sober house. Unfortunately, we do have experience with other sober houses and this has not been the practice. My issue is that I was never told of any 60 day agreement or I would not have chosen this house, relapse was likely and I would not have put $2000.00 out if I had been told about this agreement t

If you care about your mental health, don’t even bother coming to this place. I have been referred to Lifebridge in April 2024, after being in St. Vincent’s IOP program. I honestly regret making the decision of not continuing with St. Vincent’s because it’s been over 5 months of not receiving medication or the required help that is needed for my Depression, PTSD, ADHD & Anxiety. This is not the first incident I’ve had with them. In the month of June I was finally seen by a nurse in regards of med management, Sharda was very rude during intake, dismissive and guess what!? She failed to reach out to St. Vincent’s and failed to document my medication list that was provided to her. Yesterday, the staff took the initiative of following up with me after my complaints and had found my written documentation and confirmed that it was not entered, along with that they failed to have my records from St. Vincent’s that was sent over to them April 5th, the day of my exit. In addition, someone who does not specialize in this department has been attentive to follow up and do the work for Sharda’s expertise. Today, I had to send over my records that was initially sent over after referral from St. Vincent’s and I was able to handle the situation much more quicker. I’ve reached out to St. Vincent’s and they are concerned with the quality of care that Lifebridge has provided for me and want me to redo their process. Sadly, I cannot because my new work schedule interferes with their business hours and they do not provide telehealth services after hours nor weekends. I remember 18 year old me declined Lifebridge’s services due to the lag of care for mental health patients and to be 30 years of age, it’s the same issue. Please do a courtesy for yourself and prescribe else where. Months without medication is very crucial to metal health, and the body. Starting over a new regimen and having your body be off of it for a period of time is very concerning. Yet Sharda doesn’t care, she is there for a paycheck, and it shows by her actions, excuses and non communication after exclaiming to follow up within 2 weeks from June. If a supervisor is reading this, please give this woman more proper training with her behavior, skills and ethics assisting mental health along with the whole staff. I shouldn’t be doing the work for this organization, if I’m the one that is a patient. I need to be on their payroll at this point, because when I mentioned to Sharda during my medication intake, [in June] I expressed to her that I am wasting my time being here & helping this place, her rebuttal was “yea me too”.

Been here since last night waiting for MRI. Was told outpatients get prioritized and admitted patients get accepted for MRIs after 6? So, going on an 18 hour wait to get an mri? I just want to find out if I had a stroke or not and get treatment.
Edit for follow up: the number provided below is for the wrong hospital. MRI done at 6pm, what a coincidence. Now it is the 10 am the following day and I am still being held here, no tests, no discharge. Are we trying to boost hospital occupancy numbers? I was told if I leave my insurance won’t cover. Very much makes you think twice about coming here. I am at the whim of when someone will get around to me.

Stay away! I Horrible experience here with my great grandmother. The doctors, nurses and staff made it painfully obvious that they had no intention of trying to help treat my grandmother or alleviate her pain, simply due to the fact that she was 96. She was bought in by ambulance for what turned out to be a UTI, yet the doctors misdiagnosed her and told us she was septic and about didn’t have much time left. The news sent our whole family into a tear driven frenzy for absolutely no reason. Thank God we didn’t listen to their “medical advice” and brought her home. It’s now a year later, she’s still alive and Healthy all thanks to her primary care doctor who simply prescribed her a dose of antibiotics and extra strength Tylenol. From what I’ve seen, this hospital clearly doesn’t value elderly patients and acts as if anyone over 80 isn’t worth saving. If you care about your loved ones, avoid this place at all costs.

I am and will forever be so grateful to this place and its staff. I feel I’ve learned so much about myself and now have a good awareness of why I’ve felt the way I have my whole life, so irritable and disconnected from the world. Big thank you to all the staff, Tamara, Ms. Mayling, Bryant, Dwayne, Tim, Ms Keisha, Isabella, Patrick, The Dave’s, Ms.Q, Gus, Vince, Dawn, all have the interns, everybody there helped me more then they will ever know by teaching me how to get honest and open minded to a new way of life. Turning point as well as life in general is what you make of it, I’ve been fighting with drug addiction for 20yrs and could never understand why no matter how successful I would get on the outside I would always turn back to drugs in the end. I finally came to understand that for me it had to be addressed on the inside, I had to open up about everything I’ve ever been through whether I thought it was relevant or not to my addiction. I’m so grateful that I’ve finally surrendered to this process, learned how to accept my past, help, and that this is a life long process that is well worth the effort.
