It was my first time in treatment and I was very impressed by Wasatch crest. I was overall very scared to go to treatment but once I arrived everyone was very welcoming. Staff truly cares about your recovery and help you in any way you need. I loved that we were always leaving the house for activities and AA meetings. | In an intimate, mountain setting, Alpine Recovery Lodge in Alpine, Utah offers substance use and mental health treatments for adults. They offer detox, residential, partial hospitalization and outpatient treatment in descending order. Detox is often the first step in beginning recovery but you can also jump right to residential. Alpine Recovery Lod | Treatments Programs Payment Options | This place is a joke. The living conditions are awful. For 36 clients, there are 3 showers. However, only 1 of them worked. There are 2 toilets. However, only 1 of them worked. 2 urinals, again only one of them worked.
They call it a treatment center. The only thing being treated there, is their pocket books. It's a scam, they say that they teach life skills. It's a 3 to 4 month program. I just witnessed a guy being removed from that place, he had been there 7 months, and had absolutely no idea what to do, or where to go. They hadn't helped this man one bit.
People there are on the MAT program. Instead of gradually lowering their dose, they keep increasing their doses to the point where, they are walking around the place like a bunch of zombies. It's ridiculous.
I used to work in the health care field, and I actually used to help my clients get themselves enrolled into that program. If I would have known what it was really like, I would never, ever done that.

My experience is that the staff is incompetent, insensitive, lazy and all-around do not care about anything but there pay check thay sleep on the job. if asked for assistance thay acted like is an inconvenience and not there job. No communication throughout the whole facilit it takes the clients in arm and a leg and a bunch of unnecessary red tape to get the slightest thing done they preach about being punctual to hold one self accountable they do the exact opposite they do not hold themselves accountable they are definitely not punctual

Chateau Recovery has a 1:4 clinician to client ratio and offers multiple therapy models to give you the best care possible. They fo | Treatments Programs Payment Options | The Chateau has been instrumental in my growth and continued recovery. The staff and therapists humanized my experience from day one, providing a safe and supportive space where I could begin to rediscover my whole self. Through multiple modalities, I was able to process and begin healing from both deep-rooted and secondary traumas—some of which I had carried for far too long in silence.
What sets Chateau apart is their unwavering support even after treatment ends. Their commitment to alumni care reminds us we’re never walking this road alone. I’ve continued to grow, and while I still face struggles, the ongoing alumni meetings, reunion, and check-ins have helped me feel held and connected. There’s a true family and community feel that stays with you.
I even had the chance to visit the beautiful new facility—and walking through those doors felt like coming home. What other treatment center invites you back with open arms, long after you’ve completed the program?
Because of Chateau, I am more than confident in saying: I will finally be able to live the life I truly deserve.

I truly owe my life to Chateau! I have been to Chateau twice after severely struggling and ended up spending almost three months total there. I was very anxious not being a first responder or veteran and much younger than many of those there. The second I walked through the front door, I felt safe. Clients and staff didn’t not care that I was neither of those things.
Through the help of Chateau, I found the motivation and will to stay alive and sober. I started to discover my authentic self and be happy with who I was. Chateau helped me in so many ways and will never be able to express the amount of gratitude I have for the facility, staff and clients.
They are accommodating to all needs and are truly there to help you become better.
I highly recommend this amazing place to anyone who is struggling!

As someone who has experienced the weight of trauma firsthand, I can say without hesitation that this center is not just a treatment facility — it’s a lifeline. The staff here understand the unique burdens first responders carry, and they show up every single day with heart, integrity, and a deep commitment to healing.
They don’t treat you like a number or a case file. They treat you like a human! The clinicians are trauma-informed and deeply compassionate. The programming is structured, evidence-based, and tailored specifically to the reality of frontline work. And the brotherhood/sisterhood you find here? Unbreakable.
Healing isn’t easy, and not everyone is ready — but that doesn’t make the care here any less real or powerful.
If you’re a firefighter, cop, paramedic, dispatcher, or military vet struggling silently, I urge you: This place gets it. This place can help. Even if you are not a first responder, Chateau can and will help you save your life.

I have done multiple Types of treatments in the past couple of years. And they all seem so repetitive and focus on substance abuse. Pomarri actually has figured out a way to treat my drug addiction by helping me learn about a variety of other factors, including, but not limited to things to do with my childhood trauma. The underlining reasons why I do the things I do and the classes are very positive and interactive. I’ve been going here for almost 4 months now. They make the process very smooth and easy. They are very friendly, kind easy-going, and the doctor in House helps with all of and any medications that might be needed to make a smooth, lasting transition into what I would consider a beautiful new outlook in life and a sober, spiritual loving Environment. | You’ll find Pathways Real Life Recovery less than 30 minutes from Salt Lake City, in Sandy, Utah. Since 2007 this private treatment center has provided comprehensive care for adults and teens battling mental health conditions, substance abuse and other addictions. You can access a full continuum of care through their organization, including detox | Treatments Programs Payment Options | The Pathways inpatient facility gave me more than physical safety and care—it gave me something I had never truly known before: true emotional safety. The entire staff worked together to help me grow in the three areas of life that must be engaged—mind, body, and spirit. I walked in carrying a heavy prejudice against all men, but it was three men in particular who ended up aiding me the most, showing me that at our core, we really are all just human.
My main therapist, Daryl, guided me through reshaping my mindset and digging into my past to uncover my deepest wounds. He stood by me on one of the most emotionally painful days of my life, and I will never forget Destiny—one of the incredible nurses—literally running after him as he was about to head home, just so he could be there for me in that moment.
Dr. Sellers provided me with the best medical care I could have asked for. He never rushed through visits, always taking the time to explain not just what he was doing, but why—making sure I understood and felt safe with my treatment. I also want to thank Dawn, a powerhouse nurse who believed in my strength even when I couldn’t see it myself, and who pushed me to rise to the challenge.
Michael Ryan gave me the gift of faith and clarity in my higher power. He challenged me in ways I desperately needed, helping me confront the destructive core beliefs that caused me so much suffering and turn them upside down. He gave me the tools to question my own thoughts, and to approach them with both curiosity and compassion. Somehow, even in the middle of facing the hardest truths, he still managed to make me laugh and feel safe. I would also like to thank Lonnie, whose powerful meditation sessions left a deep impact on me. His encouragement meant so much because it came from a place of such authenticity.
To all of you—thank you not just for changing my life, but for teaching me how to truly live it to the fullest.

There are many wonderful organizations and people in service to helping others with treatment and recovery. For me, the right fit was, is, and will continue to be Pathways. These folks are authentic in their desire to help change lives. They are some of the most remarkable humans I have been blessed with coming across in life.
They are talented and skilled, and well equipped to meet mental health and substance abuse needs. They are particularly experienced with integrating well-rounded trauma focused treatment, using a variety of evidence based treatment modalities.
Pathways staff AND clients create a safe space of healing and growth, and a place of acceptance and belonging, and without judgement. As a pathways client, I feel a sense of unity, community, and unyielding support.
Pathways has LITERALLY saved my life. They have helped me find healing, and open doors to change my life. They have equipped me with the confidence, strength, tools, and understanding of my root influences to my recovery needs to live a new life, my best life! A life of healing and happiness I have never experienced before. I will be in eternal gratitude for this very sacred organization. Pathways is a place of miracles. I and so many others have come to pathways feeling unheard, misdiagnosed, hopeless, like no matter what you do you’re not good enough, and given up on by other outpatient or inpatient treatment. Pathways is a treatment center, but more than anything, it becomes your family. The friends I have made in my peers are lifelong, and I feel safe knowing that I can come anytime and my friends in the staff are lifelong too. I came to pathways with an undiagnosed eating disorder, zero will to live and the belief that my trauma wasn’t trauma, and everyday I leave group, I leave with compassion, affirmations I can believe in, and hope for my future ❤️ Recovery is not easy, but this place will support you through all the hard things. The trauma track is life altering (thanks Josh), the therapists are all so so kind and amazing at their jobs, the front desk staff and recovery specialists are my best pals, there’s this amazing yoga and meditation teacher and we all get so pumped to see her, the doctor is super cool and always wears cool outfits and is really diligent about finding the right meds, and Tchelsey, Chrissy, and Amy have been the only reasons some days that I continue to choose recovery from my eating disorder. If you’re at all on the fence about getting help, just go to the free consultation and meet with them and get a snack and you will be comforted and loved just as you are.

As cliche as this may sound, Life Balance saved my life!
I began my journey there over a year ago after two detox treatments and a DUI.
So many of these negative reviews have me shaking my head.
If you are an addict, and you need help, it's not going to be a free and easy walk in the park. It takes a LOT of HARD work, dedication, humility and perseverance.
The team at Life Balance LOVE what they do, and they GENUINELY want to help their clients free themselves from a life of addiction and unhealthy coping mechanisms. They changed my life, they helped me see my worth, heal and find the confidence I never knew I had or felt I deserved.

When I left treatment in 2013, I was encouraged to get into a sober living house. I fought this tooth and nail, however, things just fell into place and Mike Brown went out of his way to really help me out and make sure I was taken care of. This place saved my butt!! Being fresh out of treatment I was quite panicked once I was out in the "real world" again. The structure and feeling of a safe place I could come home to with a bunch of like-minded gentlemen made the world of difference! Still to this day I speak with Mike and considering how many people come in and out of these houses and people he deals with he still remembers me and is always genuine and loving. Love this organization!
