Oh my what can I say about this place lol I love everyone here, I know when I first came in I was rough, I was so mean to everybody and I’m so sorry, you guys helped me when I couldn’t even help myself, although the MAT services were making me literally sick, the doctors never gave up & always tried to get me comfortable, my counselor Deana my girl needs a raise lol she has helped me in more than one way she is heaven sent. Anyone looking for a great treatment center this is the one (I’ve been to 3 different ones in Davis-Weber area) & I can’t thank this team enough. I’m 18 days sober after two years of actively being on this medication for the sake of my sobriety. Thank you again for everything literally ❤️

Wonderful folks who only want to help. Follow the rules and have a good experience. Thanks to these guys for helping so many. Be nice and they'll be nice back:)
Update about a year later.
I still can't say enough good about this location and the wonderful staff here. So much good can happen w the right attitude and accepting the help this place can offer. Money wasn't an issue, I paid out of pocket to start and they helped me get on benefits to ease the costs. But at no time did they turn me away for any reason. I am so grateful for these folks and the assistance they provide time and time again. They really do care so if you are living so hard and feel like no one cares give these places a chance and get help. Totally worth it.

Woods Cross, UT | Benchmark Behavioral Health is a residential treatment program in Woods Cross, Utah. Their main objective is to assist young men in overcoming obstacles and living happy healthy lives. In addition to trauma informed care and psych | Treatments Programs Payment Options | My son was just transferred to Benchmark from a facility here in Alaska. From the first contact, they were helpful, hopeful, and encouraging to my son and our family. Mindy is his therapist and she has kept in contact with my husband and I and made sure to ask deep questions about our son and his bio family. She takes time to show our son what trauma can do to your brain. Even with the time difference, the staff always makes sure our son gets to talk to us everyday. Without fail. They went over all his meds as well as making sure we as his parents understood what he’s on, why, and what side effects he could have. He hasn’t been there very long, but this is the first time in years that there is hope our son won’t just be another statistic in the system. Thank you Benchmark!

This is my experience visiting my nephew 2 weeks ago. I call often so Sophia has always been so pleasant. Visting was even better. I am from California so it isn't easy to make it out there as often as i would like but my experience with everyone was great. My nephew wasn't able to leave campus due to his actions the night before but they allowed us to spend as much time with him while we were at the facility. We were able to meet a few of the staff including his therapist JB who is great! I appreciate everyone there, bc this job isn't easy. They deal with many kids with different personalities and issues. I know the journey isn't over yet, but I feel like my nephew is in good hands here. Thank you all for doing what you do and hope he can come home soon.

They have inpatient and outpatient programs as well as integrative therapies. Not only do they touch | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Wow, what an amazing time I have had! Flying in from North Carolina, MK, Sean and Becca were really helpful and respectful of my needs for sobriety. MK, guided me through Admissions and played a key part during my time at Pinnacle.
I was worried at first that this facility was just like any other rehabs. Just a common money grab, but to my surprise Pinnacle really wants the best for you. After coming from NextStep Detox, I was greeted by Anthony and Sean! They gave me a great orientation and the clients gave me a warm welcome! Becca and Sean over saw our programming and were very helpful with personal development and were very attentive regarding outside needs during treatment. If I needed to see my legal team or doctors, etc. Becca and Sean would take took time out of their schedule to assist me.
The support staff are very friendly, they treated me like I was their best friend. If I got out of line the support staff would help correct me in a way that wasn’t punitive. Anthony and Brooke are both in recovery and so is most staff, they really cared about your sobriety, and will guide you through recovery.
The food scene is amazing, nutritious and very healthy. Chef Ed is off the chart, a great chef. I’m not a salmon fan, but he made me a delicious meal to substitute for Salmon! Chef Ed picks fresh foods, so nothing is old or boring!
The Interns, and therapists really want to see you be successful. My therapist Julie has gone above and beyond when it came to help my mental health. Her approach to mental health is really awe inspiring. I really appreciate Cassie, Cory and Londyn help as well! The activities are made to help you feel comfortable while working on yourself.
Troy, MK, Sean and Becca have built a truly remarkable treatment facility. From Mental Health treatment, to the recreational activities, their passion to help clients are more than I expected. I’m forever grateful to the love and caring team members at Pinnacle for my journey through Sobriety.
If you’re looking for mental health care, please reach out to Pinnacle. I would not have been able to sober without the support of some amazing friends whom I met in a lovely treatment center!
Also a shoutout to Kourntey, Mary, Londyn, Brooke, Anthony, Jasmine, Janae

Pinnacle Recover is amazing. All of the staff go over the top to meet your expectations. The program gives you everything you need to achieve your goals and gives you all the tools you need to help you in recovery. The food is outstanding, Chef Ed is so compassionate about his cooking. I've never had a well balanced diet as good as it was at Pinnacle. The activities you get to enjoy are so much fun. Sober softball, hiking, bowling, batting cages, ice baths, open mic night are some of my favorites. The facility is more than adequate, its an amazing house that is filled with comfort. Overall, Pinnacle has changed my life in so many positive ways. I feel as if my life is starting over and I get the opportunity to be happy again. Shout out to Katie my therapist for all the help and knowledge she has given me. I'm ready to go out into the world and face all the challenges it brings head on.
Thank you Pinnacle!!

The Phoenix saved my life, and I'm not exaggerating. At the beginning of my treatment I was suicidal, apathetic, and rating my depression severity as a 9/10. I went through IOP and PHP and by the end (5 months later) I was happier than I'd ever been, reporting no suicidal ideation and rating my depression severity as a 1/10.
Of course - it required self-discipline and hard work on my part, but I couldn't have done it without the amazing staff at the Phoenix. Stacy, Michelle, Jess, Jake, Alisiah, Edward, and Marielle all made recovery easier for me.
Danielle Glover was my individual therapist and she was amazing. very compassionate and understanding and taught me things that changed my life.
If you are seeking treatment for mental health the Phoenix is a GREAT place!

I cannot say enough about how Deer Hollow has changed the trajectory of my life. After years of intense trauma therapy with little progress, I had reached such a low point that our fire department’s mental health team recommended I come to Utah. When I agreed, I had no idea how I was going to get through six weeks of residential treatment—and by week three, I wasn’t sure there would be enough time. Clinicians and admissions worked together to ensure I could continue the work we started with their PHP and IOP programs, which I feel were crucial.
After years of struggling with pain and confusion of trauma, on and off the job, they were able to listen, hold space and help me begin to understand, heal and grow.
Deer Hollow takes a truly holistic approach to wellness, incorporating nutrition support, physical exercise, yoga, and community service alongside group and individual therapy. The structured, intensive schedule helped me build a routine that I still follow today.
An amazing bonus is the ongoing alumni support—weekly online check-ins, group meditation or yoga, and the meaningful connection with peers who continue to walk this journey with me.
I am forever grateful for the amazing clinicians, techs, admissions team, and support staff who have given me a new outlook on life.

Draper, UT | Deer Hollow - Pioneer House is one of several Deer Hollow locations that offer treatment services to their community. This serene residential recovery facility is located in Draper, Utah. This residential program has a lot to offer, including a 13-bed co-ed house that’s situated in the middle of a secluded, private drive that overlooks enchanting | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I came to Deer Hollow carrying years of unresolved trauma and symptoms that had taken over my life. I had tried therapy before, but nothing reached the root of what I was dealing with until I walked through their doors. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel safe, grounded, and understood in a way I hadn’t experienced anywhere else.
Residential treatment was intense, structured, and emotionally heavy at times — but it was also exactly what I needed. The trauma-focused work, especially IFS, helped me understand why I reacted the way I did, where my patterns came from, and how to work with the parts of myself that had been stuck for so long. The therapists were incredibly skilled, patient, and compassionate. They didn’t just teach me tools; they helped me truly heal.
Moving through the step-down levels of care gave me time and support to practice what I was learning while still having a clinical team behind me. Each phase built on the one before it, and for the first time, I felt real change happening — not temporary relief, but deep, foundational healing.
Deer Hollow didn’t just help me manage my trauma; they helped me reclaim my life. I’m grateful every day that I made the decision to go.

I wanted to get on here today and leave a genuine review for pathways. I’ve been through a lot of Mental health and recovery programs in my life and to me, this place is different. The dedication to the work that Pathways has to offer its patients and the results I found on my journey with them I’ve spent years at other places trying to get and never received. It’s hard to explain it in better words than this is a place that cares. Anytime I’ve gone there I’ve felt I was surrounded by people who truly understood and knew how to help. If I were to recommend a place to go to for any kind of treatment, whether it be mental health disorders, addiction, recovery, eating disorders etc. I would recommend pathways and the good that comes from there.

Pathway literally changed my life. I had been on drugs for the last 15 years of my life, was in a victim mentality, and had so many undiagnosed issues. I worked through my trauma, did the geniologity tests. I was undiagnosed for the longest time and as soon as I got the results, everything in my life clicked. From that point on everything changed. Tina, as all of the other therapists were amazing. Since leaving the program, I have been employed full time for a year, built a strong connection with my family for almost 2 years (which hasn’t happened since I was 11(, and have been in a lease in an apartment for almost 2 years. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PROGRAM. LITERALLY SAVED MY LIFE!!!! FOREVER GRATEFUL!!!!!

South Ogden, UT | Brighton Recovery Center in South Ogden, Utah, is an addiction treatment facility that provides residential care for individuals struggling with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. Clients can enjoy a view of mountain ranges as they focus on their recovery. The staff takes a multifaceted approach to healing by providing treatmen | Treatments Programs Payment Options | My overall experience at Brighton was amazing, I'm so deeply grateful for everyone at the South Ogden location. The staff and residents have cultivated an environment that truly supports growth and I left feeling deeply fulfilled. I went in with the mindset "I have to get sober" and left with "I get to be sober." They showed me life can be enjoyed, just just endured. Not white knuckling my way every second of my life.
For anyone considering this step, you truly get out what you put in. If you come in surrendered, open, and willing to accept the process, the reward is life changing, I promise with all my heart. Taking that step requires immense vulnerability, but at Brighton, that vulnerability is matched by a team that genuinely cares.
The head nurse, Siobhan, was a true blessing, my therapist Shawn was amazing, and the technician staff were all fantastic. It is so important to be surrounded by people who are passionate about their work, and that is exactly what I felt every day.
I really appreciated the balanced program they offer combining deep group therapy and individual one-on-one sessions with holistic activities like spirituality, exercise, art, and outdoor time. While there were a few days where communication felt a little disconnected, the team overall stayed completely on top of the program and delivered a remarkably strong experience.
I’m sharing this because deciding to enter recovery can be terrifying. I hope my experience can be a beacon of hope for someone else standing on the edge of that choice... Take the leap. You will be supported here!!💛

I had a pretty tame experience here except for when my therapist Weston suggested that me being SAed was a propelling factor to me being transgender even though I already told him I was out of the closet before that happened. He was fine besides that, though. Love the techs and nurses and staff. I also thought it strange that they didn’t let people change therapists when they asked to. But yeah it was clean and there was a lot to do and I really liked having a radio.

The faculty and this facility changed my life for the better. I had tried different forms of assistant for 3 years to no avail. Donny Wheat made it a point to sit with me prior to my deciding to go and explained everything in detail leaving me with no questions and even gave me a tour of the place same day. When I was hesitant, telling him all the things I need to tie up prior to me going he said he’d make sure everything was taken care of and he could help me with anything. Veronica was my therapist and after cycling through multiple therapist I felt this was the first true fit. She was very intentional and I could tell she listened to me deeply. I found myself feeling comfortable sharing where that has never been the case for me. The food was great and I really created a family there and we still stay in contact. I highly recommend this facility to anyone struggling.

I had the best experience here. I loved most of the staff! It had a very homey vibe. They treated me like I was family. Its hard to get sober as it is and the hospitality they showed me was impeccable. The nurses were very kind and took care of me better than the nurses in the hospitals ever did. Very nurturing. I cant say the same for the after care though...it wasn't horrible, but my experience just wasn't great. I could care less about the staff there as well. I don't recommend Chatham or w.e their sober living is called. Otherwise their rehab, 10/10 all around amazing! Highly recommend. Just follow the rules. I know its easier said than done. Getting sober feels like freedom you haven't felt and you almost feel like a kid again. Take advantage of your stay here. Its a great program.

On April 4, 2025 I was checked into Wasatch Recovery Treatment Cent from San Francisco, CA. My best friend had drove from Utah to pick me up because I had back to back overdoses and was close to dying every single day from an extreme GHB, methamphetamine, alcohol, and cocaine addiction, as well as heavy Xanax, klonopin, oxy, and Adderall abuse. I was so bad that he and a small group of my closest friends had to pack my apartment for me before I left, because I was so disconnected from myself and reality.
For 20 years I have battled addiction off and on and was always missing the key to keep me in a place where I didn't WANT to do drugs anymore. When I got to Wasatch there was a culture shock and it was scary for me. Utah isn't as diverse as California (especially San Francisco) and there was a fear that I would be treated differently for being a gay man in a conservative state. This was not the case at Wasatch. I was greeted with love and kindness, acceptance and patience. I had a time I wanted to leave and they gave me the space to do so, alongside with the opportunity to questioning my own reasoning for it. This lead to a personal meeting with the owner of Wasatch, Mark that really showed me what This program was about. A type of love that I had never experienced from complete strangers that would soon blossom into a community of friends and family that have supported me throughout every step.
Today, I am over a year sober. I have a good job, an apartment, I'm on the softball league, and I have 2 dear friends who even helped me with a car so that I could get to work and rebuild my life. I have rekindled relationships and transformed my mind, body, and spirit. This program works if you are willing to work for it too.
They will show you so many variations of therapy that will explain how addiction works in the brain, a personalized therapist will challenge you to go deeper in yourself than you ever wanted, and the experiential therapy will reconnect you with life and nature. The food is great, the staff is loving and comes from the heart, and it is a safe place to grow bigger than you could ever imagine. That's why I love Wasatch and if you're reading this and need help, I hope you know that this is a special place that can help you too.

Diamond Recovery is owned and staffed by individuals who have personal experience with substance use recovery, which brings a level of passion, authenticity and understanding that is difficult to replicate. The team is genuinely committed to helping clients achieve and maintain sobriety by providing practical tools, structure, and consistent accountability.
Their holistic approach is not passive—they actively challenge clients to examine and change behaviors and patterns that no longer serve them. This creates an environment focused on real growth rather than temporary compliance.
That said, success in the program depends heavily on the client’s willingness to commit and engage in the work. For those who are ready to take responsibility for their recovery and make meaningful changes, Diamond Recovery offers strong support and guidance toward long-term sobriety and a happy, healthy life.

I found my wife dead overdosed In Her bedroom, was able to bring her back and brought her to this clinic. We had no insurance, no money, and no resources. The staff here actually paid out of their own pockets to get my wife her medication each day until her insurance came thru. A entire week stabilizing her dose and by that time she was no longer using. She was able to focus on living and be excited to wake up each day. It helped bring her back down to earth and gave her and me our hope and positive outlook on our lives. We're so grateful for this place and others like it. It may not be for everyone but It helped save our lives
Thank you.

Going to Recovery Ways was, for me, literally a life-saving experience. I walked in there a total shaking wreck, heavily dependent on alcohol and in the process of dying, with undiagnosed and untreated mental health issues that led to my drinking. I spent 4 days in detox, getting my physical health back and decided to spend 28 days in residential treatment there.
The staff were all experienced, and many of them have been in successful recovery themselves. The treatment I received there was compassionate and effective. I learned things about myself that I had been hiding from my whole life. I was able to heal old traumas and evolve into the person I want to be, rather than the person I accidentally became. I also had FUN and connected with people that will probably be lifelong friends,
After residential treatment I went into their Partial Hospitalization Program and continued to receive education and help in building healthy thoughts and habits. I learned to respond to life, rather than reacting to it. My anxiety and depression melted away, layer by layer as I turned into a more effective and happy version of myself.
Today I am 4 months sober, but I've learned that sobriety is just a side-effect of living the life that I choose. I do not believe that I could have done this without the wonderful humans at Recovery Ways, and all the care and love (and FUN) they shared with me.
Highly recommended. And don't listen to the talk about the food.
My nutritional skills also improved as a result of living there for 60 days. It may not be Club-Med, but that's not the purpose of being there. (They serve a salsa there that is better than I have ever had anywhere else.)

I voluntarily admitted myself to Recovery Ways in September 2023. When I was calling about admissions I was staying in the behavioral unit of St. Marks Hospital, and Recovery Ways made accommodations for one of their team members to pick me up straight from the hospital. In-take was very fast. The staff at Recovery Ways Residential Care (Copper Hills) were very nice and friendly. They were able to make professional connections to each client, including myself. Although they weren't qualified to make treatment plans, diagnosis etc. they offered to have 1:1 discussions with clients if they weren't able to speak to a therapist on-site or on-call. For me, the situation wasn't as dire, or needed medical intervention, but they still talked to me about a struggle I was going through with my family. The occupational therapists are very sweet and insightful. Yes, they do help clients shop for nicotine, or do smoking supply runs every week. But, when I was at Recovery Ways (copper hills) it was clear to me that they weren't going to associate themselves with forcing clients/patients to adhere to strict guidelines but rather held us accountable for our actions. For instance, I was told by therapists and staff members that it is my choice if I want to pick up smoking, but they advised strongly to clients/patients to do their best to not pick up smoking habits as it will stunt our overall recovery from other substances or make it harder to receive successful treatment. The other residents/clients who smoked would also tell me to not start smoking or vaping. My therapist did have me go over my past trauma with her, but it was so she could have a better understanding of my case. The Med Technician who administered my prescriptions to me helped advocate for me to my psychiatrist appointed by Recovery Ways about having ongoing PTSD related night terrors. Because of him, I was able to be put on a sleeping pill and another medication that helps with PTSD night terrors. I went into Recovery Ways experiencing suicidal ideation (and having recently attempted), urges to self-harm, mania and lots of other symptoms/diagnoses. But, at the end of my treatment (after moving to Brunswick) I was able to recover successfully. Two years later and my GAD is in remission, my psychotic symptoms that was diagnosed alongside my Bipolar 1 Disorder is no longer affecting me. I have also stayed with their recommended psychiatrist when I was being discharged from Recovery Ways. And their excursions for physical activity/occupational therapy activities were kind of like surprises but they still gave us a few minutes to get dressed for the activities. Overall, my experience was amazing and every staff in each Recover Ways building were very helpful. I don't know if the chef at Brunswick is still working there, but in 2023 he was an amazing cook and made sure each meal he made satisfied the residents/clients. I'd recommend Recovery Ways for anyone.

When wanting to make positive changes in your life there is such a mental part involved to moving forward in that direction. When this change is ready to happen in you, you need to have the right tools to make those changes a reality. I have been so impressed with Corner Canyon. They have these tools in place for your change to happen. They have staff ready that engage with you every step of the way. They understand your individual situation as and they have the programs in place to create the positive changes you desire. As I watched my closest friend transform this last year and today celebrate her one year of success I saw that her desire with the support of this facility made all the difference. She understands the steps its going to take to fight her demons and she still meets regularly with one of the most amazing sponsors to keep her on that path of recovery. Thanks for letting me take this journey with her and Thank you for pushing her the right amount to see her true potential

Draper, UT | Youth Care Treatment Center is in Draper, Utah. They’re a behavioral and mental health care center for adolescents. They provide residential and partial hospitalization programs for youths ages 11 to 18 who are recovering from addiction and behavioral disorders. They combine psychotherapy with life skills training. Their residential program allow | Treatments Programs Payment Options | Our daughter (now 17) Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, BPD, spent the last 10 months @ YC and had a very positive experience. She made a ton of progress over her time there. The staff were professional and responsive. Our daughter had aggression issues and was non-compliant with treatment and school at the start of her stay. They paired her with an excellent therapist, and she was able to make tremendous progress. We spent our first 5 months constantly wondering when the "other shoe would drop", and it always did, trust me. But over time, she progressed, and soon the environment became a bit too restrictive for her, but her behavior needed to improve in order for her to move to a step-down program. YC recently revamped their treatment program moving to more of a tiered system, whereas before, all kids (no matter their behavior) were grouped into the same houses. Now, they have 3 tiers of houses. One house is reserved for kids that need the most restrictive environment, and basic behavior expectations are required to move to the next level of house(s). Two houses are the middle tier, where there are higher behavioral expectations and thus less restrictive. Finally, there is the top tier house, which has the highest level of expectation, and therefore the least restrictive. Our daughter spent her last month or so in the top tier house, and she reported it as boring and uneventful, as kids behaved well. Their parent support group is weekly, and they have one specific for SUD, and the other for non-SUD (they run back-to-back). The support groups are for both parents with kids in treatment @ YC, and for those with kids that have discharged from YC. Parent days @ YC are well run and informative. They are very emotionally exhausting (in a good way) and both my wife and I found them to be very beneficial. We were very worried about sending our daughter to any residential treatment facility, and honestly, we waited too long to send her, however; here we are moving to La Europa Academy on 4/1/26. Thank you Youth Care for the love and care you and your staff showed to our daughter and family.

Youth Care is an amazing facility, with wonderful, compassionate therapists and staff. They care for and keep safe a population of adolescents that cannot be kept safe anywhere else. Those who work at Youth Care and have chosen to stay long-term are completely dedicated to those adolescents and their families, despite the stress level under which they are required to operate every day. I would recommend Youth Care to any parents with a child in crisis. It is a difficult choice to place your child in residential treatment, and if you know you have no other choice, Youth Care is an option.

My child spent several months at YouthCare, about five years ago. I was terrified for them, because I kept seeing frightening reviews as well as really good ones and didn't know who to believe. I even went to visit after their first few weeks, and insisted on having an absolutely private conversation with my child, so they could be frank with me about whether or not they were being treated badly. I was prepared to bring them home, if they gave me reason for concern. I was relieved to be told, cautiously, that although the work was hard and they didn't necessarily like the place, my kid felt that it was doing what they needed a residential treatment center to do. They asked me to leave them there to finish the work they needed to do, and with a glad heart, I did.
Six months later, I did bring them home... in triumph, and with the joyful support of the staff. They had made a commitment to take suicide off the table, even when they might feel like it, and they were gaining significant control over their self-harm urges. They had a full tool box of coping tools for when they had a tough time, and they were miles more healthy than when they had begun at YC.
My kid now does outpatient therapy twice a week. They have remained stable in their commitment to stay alive, and even found that much of the time, they genuinely *want* to live. They're taking their GED this winter, and hope to go to college someday. They're making progress, slow but steady, and the learning they did at YC is an enormous part of the foundation for that progress.
I will forever be grateful that I was brave enough to risk sending my child to YC and that they were brave enough to tell me that they should stay. When they went to YC, my child was helplessly in the grasp of feelings they did not understand and could not control. When strong feelings come now, they are skilled -- and often confident -- in how they can handle them.
Many thanks to YC and all the skilled and caring staff who make it what it is.
I do want to add something that my child said, which I believe is important for anyone considering residential treatment (for themself or their child) to understand:
"Any residential treatment is going to cause trauma. That doesn't mean it's a bad place, nor that it isn't necessary. It just means that the way you have to live in a residential treatment center is going to cause trauma as well as help to heal it. Expect that you will later have to do the healing from your residential treatment as part of your eventual treatment process. That's not a reason to avoid doing residential if you need it. It's just part of the deal, the same way surgery to stop internal bleeding will have to include making a cut that also, in itself, bleeds. So the surgery makes you recover from the original wound and then you also have to recover from the wound made by the surgery. That doesn't mean you don't get surgery because you've heard that it cuts into you."
So be aware. Any residential center will leave some trauma behind. That includes YouthCare. Doesn't mean they're a bad place. It means residential is a really hard thing to have to do, and like surgery, you only go through it if you really need it.
