They will take away any and all ideas or stigmas you may have had about a rehab facility. Everyone employed there is truly engaged to make your stay wonderful and to help you become a better version of yourself. I imagine most will find that the experience will open you up to more than just kicking an addiction. You will find your inner strength and identity and become the person you were always meant to be.

I had a great experience and this was my 4th treatment center. It’s not a cookie cutter program and felt very comfortable and welcomed. Since I left I’m still involved with the stuff they do in after care and alumni activities which are great ways to stay connected to a lot of people who truly are still putting in the work to stay sober and a lot of us have become close friends and hang out a few times a week. It’s not uptight like a lot of places which is very helpful in early recovery, the music aspect is great even if you don’t play any instruments, and the housing setup is great as well. The rules are pretty simple. No vaping inside (at the center) and you can’t have your phone during group lol pretty reasonable. Otherwise there’s still a sense of normalcy. Highly recommend to anyone who’s ready to make that 1st big step! I was a bit apprehensive at first and couldn’t be more grateful that I did it. I haven’t felt this good in 20 years!

I started just where I left off at the VA.The only thing I don't agree with or understand is when getting an increase u have to pick up for 3days before getting ur tak homes. I can understand this policy when u a starting out. But it doesn't make much sense after that. This is the only MAT program clinicnive ever been to but they have been amazing. If you are serious about your recovery they most definitely are going to help you. I've had a couple friends go to other clinics and from what was said FCCR is more strict and that's so important. Especially if you are serious about your recovery and do really want to better yourself and your life. The office staff is amazing there. The nurses are wonderful. I've had 3 different counselors due to 2 of them moving on to better their lives, but every counselor I have had has been wonderful. Very helpful. Easy to talk to. Thank you FCCR for being there and helping me better myself and my life. "It works if you work it"

I would like to thank Desiree Garland a kind, patient sonographer at the ER at VHC . She took her time and was patient with me during my test. Ultra sounds on your legs at least for me hurt very badly. But she took the time to press gently and thoughtfully. I was scared to come back as last time I was screaming in pain from the last sonographer so I wanted to point out I had a great experience this time around. Which shows that Desiree is experienced but most importantly cared for her patient/me. So thank you Desire!
Also Dr Sverha in the ER was very nice and answered all my questions.

Dear Administrator:
Please kindly recognize the outstanding and exemplary service provided by your outpatient lab employee/technician Leslie at the main outpatient lab who has repeatedly provided exceptional service and so accommodating when performing her duties especially since I have special needs. She is so skilled at performing her duties and must be recognized. She should be promoted as the supervisor for the outpatient lab quite frankly. As a regular patron of VHC for many years, I have not seen many employees at the hospital who consistently provide the level of care and service that Leslie demonstrates consistently and skillfully!

Avalon Recovery House is a sober living facility in Richmond, Virginia. They provide outpatient addiction treatment and sober living for adults. Avalon Recovery provides a warm and structured environment f | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I moved into the Avalon house about 8 months ago. It has really become a home to me. There is a lot of women in one home but we all manage to get along rather well. The Avalon house has been a safe , supportive, clean environment. We operate similar to the Oxford model in that we hold one another accountable. Anastasia is a hands on housing manager but she gives you the room you need to be an adult and make the decisions for your recovery that you feel are right. If you follow the rules, and prove to her that you’re trustworthy then she affords you that trust and she is understanding. I truly believe that Avalon is one of the main reasons that I’ve been successful in my recovery thus far.
It’s imperative in early recovery to surround one’s self with like minded people and Avalon is absolutely a home that you will find the resources you need to grow and thrive into the person you want to be. I absolutely suggest this home to anyone that is willing to put in the work to live a sober life. It’s all about what we put into it that determines what we get out of it.

Been living at one of Anastasia's houses for over a year, I came to this place via a treatment center and have stayed since. The structure and supportive environment of the house, its owners and its other tenants have helped me to achieve the longest amount of sober time I've had since I first picked up a bottle.

Avalon is simply the best. The owner, Anastasia, is so genuinely invested in the success of every member in her program. She holds people accountable while also offering grace. She stands her ground on what she believes but also takes the time to truly listen. She's involved, caring, and earnestly invested in the path of recovery for every person she meets.
You won't leave this program without being impacted by what she and avalon has to offer. It develops structure, elevates discipline, and guides people from a state of "is this possible?" to a reality of unfathomable possibilities and complete change.
Avalon doesn't just change lives, it saves them

They listen to me and its not just a cookie cut type of style where one style fits all its what fits me. I love it and I will always come here even when I'm done with my meds. Maybel always makes me laugh and it messes with my blood pressure all the time (that's my excuse). Dona always has on fresh kicks and I'm jealous. Stephanie will always make sure I'm good, making sure I take care of my self. She really cares which is rare in my experience. Fatima digs and makes me deal when I don't want when I know I need to. From services for veterans and first responders to care for dual diagnosis patients, these programs deliver more focused and relevant treatment. Explore the specialty addiction treatment options available across Virginia.
Inpatient drug rehabilitation is an immersive, residential treatment environment where individuals receive constant care and support. This approach in Virginia can include medically monitored detox, individual and group therapy, medication management, and skill-building. It helps people focus solely on recovery in a safe setting, away from external stressors and access to substances.
Detoxification is a medically supervised or social process that helps individuals in Virginia withdraw safely from drugs or alcohol. It addresses physical dependence on substances, stabilizes vital signs, and reduces health risks. This is not a complete treatment, but it does lay the groundwork for further therapy and long-term addiction recovery strategies.
Outpatient drug rehabilitation in Virginia is structured addiction treatment that doesn’t require an overnight stay. Participants attend scheduled therapy sessions several times per week while maintaining daily responsibilities. Programs may include individual counseling, group therapy, and relapse prevention strategies. This model supports recovery while promoting autonomy and reintegration into the community.
Alcohol treatment addresses the physical dependence and psychological roots of alcohol use. Virginia programs may include detox, counseling, medication-assisted treatment, and support groups as needed. Care is often tailored to individual needs and delivered in inpatient or outpatient settings. The goal is sustained recovery through education, behavioral change, and relapse prevention planning.
Treatment for opiate use disorder in Virginia typically begins with medically managed withdrawal, followed by long-term support through therapy and medication-assisted treatment (MAT). Medications such as buprenorphine, methadone, or naltrexone help reduce cravings and stabilize brain chemistry. Behavioral therapies address psychological factors and promote long-term behavioral change while preventing relapse.
