    I would not be where I am today without the help of Recovery Unplugged. I had two 30 day visits with them back in 2019 before moving on to a 90 program in Arizona. Everyone was friendly and you felt like you actually mattered. The musical component of it all was life changing and is still a huge support in my life today. It’s outside of the box recovery and if you are looking for a place to start, this is it. I’m coming on six years of sustained recovery and now hold a masters in divinity while thriving in Tucson. AZ. None of this would have been possible without Recovery Unplugged and I could not be more grateful for all they provided in early recovery.

    The program and support is great, but once you finish no resources are provided. No follow-up with patients. They are all about profit. The providers can’t even provide outside resources. This should be a warning sign they are out to make money.

    Edit Aug 2026: I still like this place & think it’s better than most other clinics in the Richmond area. There have been some screwups over the years but mostly I’ve had good experiences. Things definitely also depend on your own attitude & your counselor, so switch counselors if you’re not a match with yours. Original: This place has improved drastically since the new director has taken over approx 1 year ago. Its the only clinic that has ever shown me they actually care about their patients. Awful lady who gives you your meds at the window (Tunisia?) is gone, also so is awful front desk lady (Cheryl). I made a complaint about them 2 weeks after new director took over and didnt receive retribution or bad treatment they actually told me I was 100% right, I could not be any more right, what can they do to correct this? I couldnt believe it, as someone in recovery, I had never been treated this way (treated well!). There are many wonderful people now working at this place! Much better clinic than ANY of the others in the area

    I’ve been going here for 6months and before that I was at the VA. There’s a few differences between them both but most of all I can tell the Care. I have had 2 Counselors which is understandable considering the work load they have. Since the begining I have been happy and impressed how easy they made my transferring. I started just where I left off at the VA.The only thing I don’t agree with or understand is when getting an increase u have to pick up for 3days before getting ur tak homes. I can understand this policy when u a starting out. But it doesn’t make much sense after that. I can also say when there was a problem with my pick up (ther Mistake) my councler fixed and had all my bottles in 30mins. All I can say is If u work the program it works. Thank you

    I love my counselor here at Pinnacle treatment center FCCR Radford. I feely counselor Lauren is amazing she’s does everything she can possibly do for. Shes supplies me with wonderful advice, wonderful resources and everything else a counselor should do. My panic attacks got to such a bad point that she gave me her cell phone number in case I need to message or call when I need her. FCCR RADFORD SAVED MY LIFE!!!

    They will take away any and all ideas or stigmas you may have had about a rehab facility. Everyone employed there is truly engaged to make your stay wonderful and to help you become a better version of yourself.     My journey started there. Many great counselors. A couple of them really should find another career, but nobody is perfect. I still believe they do there best. I urge anyone who is in need of help to call. I am very grateful to them. Addiction is fatal when untreated. The good news is early recovery is temporary as well as painful. Thank you

    Outpatient substance use disorder treatment is a non-residential treatment model that allows you to pursue recovery in Virginia while living at home. The approach is ideal when you have a stable living environment and a lower risk of relapse, or are transitioning from more intensive care settings. Outpatient programs vary in intensity, ranging from traditional outpatient therapy (1–2 sessions per week) to partial hospitalization programs (PHPs), which involve several hours of treatment each day.

    Customized programs usually include evidence-based therapies such as motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and contingency management. Clients may also participate in educational workshops, peer support groups like 12 Step meetings, and medication-assisted treatment (MAT), when needed.     Great staff and experience. I honestly miss the meals - consistent quality meals three times a day was essential to my early recovery - I was not used to decent care. I learned how to care for myself and what to do next. I highly recommend taking the step to get into treatment if you’re considering, and to do it at Farley.
