Dr. Toombs and all the staff at the Midlothian Brightview location are very welcoming, professional, and helpful. Even though there is a location 3 miles from my home in Prince George, I continue to travel the 30 minute ride to the Midlothian location. I am sure they are just as good, but I have to go where I feel most welcomed, helped, and comfortable.

If you're looking to find a new way of life, The Healing Place will provide. Peer driven community focused on behavior modification. The program sets you up for success, long-term. It saved my life!

I am Praying my son gets the help he so dearly needs. He just arrived here for his journey to recovery after being homeless and in jail continually for years now. I pray he gets the help and support needed to finally get him on the right path and road to a new Happier and sober drug free life!🙏🏼 I will update a new review once we know how the program works and the pros and cons.

One of the best clinics I have been to in the area. They have gone through some recent changes and it has made it even better. Probably one of the nicest and most compassionate staffs I have worked with. When they say they will do everything to meet you were you are at they mean it. They all treat you with dignity and respect, and not as a number. I’ve been to other clinics, and I can truly say Applegate is the best. If you are debating starting treatment I highly recommend you check them out!

Went today for the first time and I could not have asked for a better experience! The entire staff was amazing! I was completely comfortable, they took care of literally everything, the process was super smooth and the staff-again, I just can’t say how caring and welcoming they were. They made me feel right at home. 10/10. You won’t regret going here!

I’ve been visiting this practice for years and cannot speak highly enough about their service. The staff is expedient, accommodating, knowledgeable, friendly, compassionate, and kind. Rescheduling is always easy, and they are more than happy to work with you if you’re running a bit late. Through sublocade I have been able to regain confidence, security, and stability in my life, making me feel whole for the first time since childhood. I can’t encourage those in need of and ready for help to contact the Coleman Institute (AppleGate Recovery) enough.

I love, love and love the team at Spero Health! Life Changing in all of the best of ways. They know you by name, your needs and goals. The Director, Nurse/Scheduler, Community Coordinator, Doctor and Therapist are all great. I have been able to manage my recovery stress free. They provide daily check-ins and you feel the care. If there are any questions I have outside of the rim of services provided, the information and directions are given to you. My appointments are executed effortlessly with them knowing my schedule and conflicts they may arise. I have been with other clinics before and it did not feel like home. With this company it feels like home and family. The Doctor is adjust successfully without force, He actually listens. Therapy is without judgment and I leave with so much motivation, eagerness to be better in my personal life and all around. I’ve found a new ways to think and feel. Awe man.. I learned so much, it’s been levels unlocked in how maneuver through life and a cheat code to leaning new skills to healing. Trust the process will forever be with me. I have over 3 years in recovery and through some of my most difficult times, Spero has been my saving grace. Alva K (counselor) and Val J (nurse practitioner) have been the BIGGEST blessings to my life. I’ve attended several IOPs in the past and have been successful but Spero Petersburg has given me the tools I was lacking. Alva provides the BEST groups and one on ones I have ever been apart of in my 19 years of addiction. She is by far, one of the most talented and truly inspiring women I have had the pleasure of knowing. To be able to know her is a blessing. Val is a beautiful soul who continues to seek knowledge of addiction treatment daily. She will take care of you like no other doctor will ever try. You will feel entirely embraced in love and understanding as long as you are there for the RIGHT reasons. I have to agree with some past reviews, there have been lots of changes but our new case manager, Amber, is amazing. She will help you with ANYTHING you want to conquer (jobs, social services, training) Toya is also someone I can not say enough good things about. If you have a problem with medicine or appointments, she responds in good timing and truly cares. She will work with whatever issues you have going on or that pop up, no worries, Toyas got your back! The entire office is bar none. If you are in need of addiction therapy, MAT meds, call Spero!

My opthamology tech was very knowledgeable and helpful. She advised me on future appointments and when I'm doing upgrade. She went over and beyond for me. I really enjoyed the appointments at the VA Clinic just don't mind them at all. Thankful they are there for me. Her name is Denise so shout out girl I think you're awesome. Thanks for fixing my right hearing aid I'll try not to break it again LOL

I go to VA 2 Clinic. The staff has always been exceptionally nice and helpful. And the care has been as good as I've received in both the Military system and Civilian. I'd highly recommend this team.

My four-year-old son was admitted to the Pediatric Unit and I was blown away by our experience. He was a direct admission from our pediatrician and that process couldn’t have gone smoother. I very much appreciated being able to skip an ED visit and just walk straight onto the unit. We walked into our room and immediately found a Jared box, a backpack full of toys, and a colorful, warm blanket. My son was so excited to see these special touches and was so comforted by them- the Jared Box was a huge hit and absolutely saved the day. Our nurses – Hannah, Taylor, and Anthony – were incredible. I especially want to shout out Hannah and Taylor – they were outstanding. They put me at such ease with their professionalism, efficiency, and compassionate care. Taylor was also just incredible all night long. Once I was able to get him to sleep, she went out of her way to make sure his vital checks were so quiet and unobtrusive that he never even woke up. She also managed the messier moments of our stay with such grace, and I just really appreciated the way she cared for my son. Dr. Chanock and Dr. El Bash were both amazing as well. I deeply appreciated Dr. Chanock asking me to step into the hallway to discuss the care plan so as not to create more anxiety in my son. This was such an unexpected and thoughtful thing and allowed me to concentrate on processing the plan without managing his emotions at the same time. I have such a deep appreciation for the way this team cared for my son, and we could not have had a better experience on the Pediatric Unit. Thank you to the entire team!

Reviews often seem emotional and the hospital is rated accordingly. Objectively, I have to say the everyone who took care of my husband, from room cleaners, nurses, care managers, techs to doctors, was extremely professional and showed genuine interest in getting him healthy again. I could not have been more impressed, thank you.

I spent eight long days at Mary Washington healing from a brutal domestic violence incident. The care and patience and kindness I received from every staff member on Four South was unmatched by any stay I’ve had in my life. I’m sixty one and had many stays from the doctors to the sweet ladies that kept my room spotless to the accommodating kitchen staff it was pleasant. They didn’t let me suffer in pain. The food was shockingly good. I felt like royalty. The care I was given had as much to do with my healing as the medicine I was given. I’m off to a rehabilitation center now and will miss them. If I could give them ten stars I would give them ten stars. I’m giving them ten stars in my heart.

I used this facility for a year and a half while living out that ways. They were hands down the best VA experience I have had in the last 10 years. I cannot recommend them enough.

My husband (a veteran) went to the ER this morning. Come to find out, he has to get his gallbladder removed! When we got home he went straight to sleep and I went ahead and was trying to get everything set up for him (surgery, consult appointment, etc). I had so much trouble and unhelpful people on the phone through the general VA line. On a whim, I came into this clinic needing help on a situation regarding his surgery. I was met with a very, very nice lady named Miesha. She went above and beyond to help me. She gave me tips and advice on what to do next time this would happen (my husband hasn’t been to the ER under VA insurance until today). She went out of her way to show me things that she didn’t need to, and even provided me a Manila envelope and a binder clip for all my documents! From there, Kim (a nurse) took over and also went above and beyond to help me! I let her know how much pain my husband was in and got the head nurse to help! While waiting, she was so nice to converse with and I enjoyed getting to know her. Christine was amazing in ensuring we would get into a surgery consult ASAP. She’s very kind and straight to the point! She was very eager to help me. I am not a veteran myself, so the fact that I spent at least an hour there getting information from everyone and they didn’t make a DIME off of me is something that’s unheard of nowadays. Thank you Miesha, Kim, and Christine for helping me! I wish I could have you all as MY primary care. ( :

I have taken several program participants to various medical and mental health appointments over the years both in Virginia and in Maryland and was hands down super impressed with the staff at the CSB juvenile, adult, and emergency services. There was quite a wait for emergency services but each department communicated with each other and was so polite. Brian Stewart is one of the few names that we caught but he was phenomenal. The staff checked on us, fed us, and gave us blankets. We saw them touching base with some individuals who were clearly in crisis and they were just so patient and caring. Dr. Smith was our emergency services doc and I wish he could see people regularly because he was funny and he made my program participant feel heard. I have been with an individual to the primary care as well and enjoyed the collaboration with DO Pristell.
