There's a few differences between them both but most of all I can tell the Care. I have had 2 Counselors which is understandable considering the work load they have. Since the begining I have been happy and impressed how easy they made my transferring. I started just where I left off at the VA.The only thing I don't agree with or understand is when getting an increase u have to pick up for 3days before getting ur tak homes. I can understand this policy when u a starting out. But it doesn't make much sense after that. I can also say when there was a problem with my pick up (ther Mistake) my councler fixed and had all my bottles in 30mins. All I can say is If u work the program it works. Thank you

This is the only MAT program clinicnive ever been to but they have been amazing. If you are serious about your recovery they most definitely are going to help you. I've had a couple friends go to other clinics and from what was said FCCR is more strict and that's so important. Especially if you are serious about your recovery and do really want to better yourself and your life. The office staff is amazing there. The nurses are wonderful. I've had 3 different counselors due to 2 of them moving on to better their lives, but every counselor I have had has been wonderful. Very helpful. Easy to talk to. Thank you FCCR for being there and helping me better myself and my life. "It works if you work it"

I’ve been going here for 6 now. When BHG took over the old clinic, River City, there were growing pains as any company has going through a takeover. Then the pandemic happens during the takeover. Staff was leaving left & right because patients blamed them for literally EVERTHING. The patients refused to see the bigger picture and wanted to blame staff for following the pandemic rules. BHG was the only clinic in RVA excepting new patients during the pandemic because they genuinely want to SAVE LIVES! Somehow so many patients complained about so many new patients holding up lines. Anyway, with all of that being said, I’ve seen staff come & go BUT THE STAFF THEY HAVE NOW IS SO CARING & want nothing but THE best for us!!! Dr. Swainey is so down to earth once you see how much he relates to us, you’ll have so much respect for his compassion to help us that are stuck in this awful cycle. I could write a book on how much I’ve grown to adore the staff & they ALL deserve the absolute best in life. Every single one of them have played a part in my new outlook of life and I owe that to them. <3

i’ve been going to this clinic for over a year and i have truly enjoyed making the relationships that i have with everyone who works there. they actually care about your well-being, you’re never just a number. i feel like the kind souls who work here really do put their all into everyone who steps foot in their door. my counselor, lindsey, is amazing and has helped me so much. i have never once felt judgement or disdain from her or anybody else there. i feel confident when i tell people about BHG because i know that they extend a warm welcome to everybody, regardless of the circumstances. thank you for making recovery possible. ❤️

Avalon Recovery House is a sober living facility in Richmond, Virginia. They provide outpatient addiction treatment and sober living for adults. Avalon Recovery provides a warm and structured environment f | Treatments Programs Payment Options | I moved into the Avalon house about 8 months ago. It has really become a home to me. There is a lot of women in one home but we all manage to get along rather well. The Avalon house has been a safe , supportive, clean environment. We operate similar to the Oxford model in that we hold one another accountable. Anastasia is a hands on housing manager but she gives you the room you need to be an adult and make the decisions for your recovery that you feel are right. If you follow the rules, and prove to her that you’re trustworthy then she affords you that trust and she is understanding. I truly believe that Avalon is one of the main reasons that I’ve been successful in my recovery thus far.
It’s imperative in early recovery to surround one’s self with like minded people and Avalon is absolutely a home that you will find the resources you need to grow and thrive into the person you want to be. I absolutely suggest this home to anyone that is willing to put in the work to live a sober life. It’s all about what we put into it that determines what we get out of it.

Been living at one of Anastasia's houses for over a year, I came to this place via a treatment center and have stayed since. The structure and supportive environment of the house, its owners and its other tenants have helped me to achieve the longest amount of sober time I've had since I first picked up a bottle.

Avalon is simply the best. The owner, Anastasia, is so genuinely invested in the success of every member in her program. She holds people accountable while also offering grace. She stands her ground on what she believes but also takes the time to truly listen. She's involved, caring, and earnestly invested in the path of recovery for every person she meets.
You won't leave this program without being impacted by what she and avalon has to offer. It develops structure, elevates discipline, and guides people from a state of "is this possible?" to a reality of unfathomable possibilities and complete change.
Avalon doesn't just change lives, it saves them

Residents of Henrico and Bon Air will also benefit from their comprehen | Treatments Programs Payment Options | This would be a 5 star review if one of the pharmacy workers didn't consistently have a bad attitude with patients. An African American woman typically at window 4, with long braided hair seems to have a habit of being sour, mean and just unprofessional. After talking to FIVE other patients, it's generally agreed that she's the dosing nurse everyone dreads getting - "rude", "mean", "judgemental", "takes 5 minute breaks between calling people" these are some of the comments other patients made for when she bothers to call anyone at all. Usually only 2 of the 6 windows are staffed, and the workload definitely by and large gets pushed onto the other dosing nurse, when there is a huge influx of patients. Originally I thought she just didn't like me, but it seems she gets personal gratification out of not medicating patients in a timely manner, making them wait while she chats with people, etc., meanwhile the patients are in active withdrawal, have to go to work, have things to do, and can't sit around at a methadone clinic all morning. The program director is an absolute gem, and the counselors are super thoughtful and helpful. All in all everyone there seems to have a positive energy and outlook, and the staff is lovely-- except for this dosing nurse who sits around chit chatting and forwarding patients to the program director (who I assume already has a lot on her plate) or their respective counselors, when she bothers calling anyone at all.
I had to bother the program director multiple times because of a mishap with the app, and when she came by and personally told the dosing nurse that she was fine to dose me, she snapped back with "so we're just going to ignore that she lied about paying?" - the program director dismissed her comment and I responded with "I didn't lie, the program director has already confirmed this", to which she thought the professional thing to do as an employee was to argue it further with "Yes you did", to which I, again, told her I did not. She then put me on hold so she could "call me later". No reason given. (I assume this is her "punishment"- making someone with active cardiac issues wait for a dose, thereby increasing my risk of cardiac arrest when the admin already okayed me), I waited an hour as she kept calling other patients and eventually I went up to the program director for the third time- bless her heart, and just told her that I felt that the woman at the 4th window didn't like me and was purposely refusing to dose me. She took me off of hold and even though window 4 was empty, she just kept calling everyone EXCEPT me. I ended up dosing with someone else. After dosing I watched her consistently call patients maybe once every 7 ish minutes, and a lot of them she would turn away to go bother the program director. It shouldn't be up to the program director to resolve issues as absurd as a dosing nurse .... refusing to do her job "because she doesn't like someone". Genuinely no idea what someone with such a terrible attitude is doing working at a clinic that serves a demographic that she's clearly judgemental towards and resentful of. She's just making everyone's lives harder; the patients with her attitude, the staff because she doesn't seem to pull her weight, the company because she's being paid to basically not really do her job, and her hassling of patients and withholding medication can literally lead to someone one day suing the clinic, should god forbid something happen due to a pre-existing medical condition (like me having a heart attack when it's noted that my dose only lasts about 12 hours, not 24, due to a medical condition called malabsorption and my preexisting serious heart condition when withdrawal is known to exacerbate tachycardia.) Sitting around with a 150+ heart rate, visibly shaking because the dosing nurse thinks it's her place to "teach you a lesson" by withholding medication and refusing to do her job for personal reasons is completely unacceptable. The entire time I was waiting she was sparsely calling other patients and laughing around with her colleagues.

Anyone who has been in treatment, such as myself, knows that some days are better than others. It's just the reality of the situation, but I have never found more genuine care and support than I do at this place. They're going to help pick you back up and get you back on track. Ms. Jane Ann and some of the other staff there are like family to me and I wouldn't be here without them . Recovery is hard, but if you're willing to do your part and make at least an effort, they will be there till the end ✨️

Would have gave them a five Star but the last day my counselor showed her true colors by not being a counselor. I really think she needs to find a job that suits her. because I found myself homeless what time she was on vacation and she couldn't figure out how someone was homeless in a week. Good peer counselors it was the first one I completed out of four that I attended. I believe most of the staff Cares about your recovery.

To be honest I could probably try and take a shot at this place and even maybe have reasons to but my life and my choices lead me to have to go to this place and in doing so I came out the other side clean and still am clean so for that I owe them forever can't blame a place for the actions they take when your own actions got you in that situation it gives you a chance what you do with that chance is on you not them it's about love and forgiveness and trying to do right sometimes people and places fall short thank you new life for everything love nate
